I guess it's a conditioning and fitness issue that becomes more and more of a struggle to hold on to the leading score.

It is more likely down to mourinhos out dated game where we were becoming stagnated in our play. The sideways and backwards play meant no pressing and less work rate so fitness levels need to be drastically improved.

Enough gloom and doom 7 wins from 7 well done Ole GGMU.

Yes, the intensity of our pressing drops down drastically after the hour mark.
Hopefully, it gets picked up gradually over the coming months.

There are several issues when settling into a new style of play.

For us we have gone from a team that runs the least to attempting to press higher and more frequently. That level of fitness isn't something that comes out of thin air and will take time to build up.

Also attacking patterns and combinations which just didn't happen before will have to be worked on, improved and perfected.

February is a tough month, we have been fortunate that we have had a run of games which on paper at least are easier to practice and improve. Over the next month we will see what this squad and this manager is truly capable of.

Lingard and Herrera are two that work their bollocks off and then drop off mid way through the second half in games. I hope that Sanchez can seamlessly fit in to the fluid front three and that will alleviate one problem, Fred should likewise be able to dovetail in the midfield but he's only shown flashes of promise thus far. If both of those start playing like we know they can then we should be able to blitz teams for 90 minutes. Sadly, as Gary Neville said in commentary vs Spurs I don't see where Lukaku or Mata fits in to it.

According to report, we have triggered the year option in darmians contract, he will go to juventus on a lon with an option to buy.

I assume that valencia has enough fitness to see this season out then leave on a free in the summer.

Young will probably get an extension leaving dalot shaw young and fosu mensah as our full back options next season unless we bring someone in.

Tfm will not be in our squad next season as a full back option. If ww don't bring a full back in i expect the 4 would be mitchell shaw young and dalot.
Interesting that he cose to play dalot on the left yesterday when shaw fell ill instead of young.
It shows that both young and shaw can play either side adequately.

Not good enough options in my opinion. Shaw is playing better, I'm happy with him as my first choice atm, with young and depot as cover. We need a top class rb because we have nothing down the right. I like depot but not sure if he's ready to be first choice just yet. We could do with someone who's about 29-30 in their prime for a couple of years till dalot is ready. That and a top centre back and we'd have a good foundation to build from.

Shaw and young for LB. Dalot and a top right back at peak for RB.

I would like to see us go for Milenkovic to play at RB with Dalot as cover. He's young but can also play central. I would also love us to see if Mbappe can be prised away from PSG given their financial woes. Imagine a front three of Rashford, Martial and Mbappe!

I woyld rather we brought in a RB and a LB. Mitchell is not good enough - offer money for Kieran Tierney and that's LB sorted, he has the potential to be the best LB in UK. At RB we need someone who is ready to go, Perreira would be my choice but I am sure there are plenty options.
