People's choice to replace Mourinho?
Eddie Howe or Pochettino? and Why?

Ed's?

{Ed025's Note - for me becks the job is too big for howe and he would need a top quality DOF if he was to get the gig, pochettino is top quality and imagine what he could do with the budget he would get at united, he has premiership experience at the top level and is very forward thinking and his teams play good football, he would be my choice mate but im sure others would say different..

As long as the next manager, Who ever it maybe, Plays good attacking football and gets fans loving our style of play again. Getting fed up up with all the negativity that Jose brings with him now.
Having said that, Knowing Woodward he will give Jose another contract extension.
Also Woodward stating we don't need results on the pitch for our sponsors to carry on paying us millions each year.
See if results matter Woodentop when we are in the bottom three.

I would say Pochettino is more ready for a top job than How at the moment. I also feel Howe would require a really good structure behind the scenes to aide him. I think 3-4 years of Pochettino allowing him to freshen up the squad, and get them used to playing good football at a high tempo. Then when he goes back to Spain, which he will want to do at some point. How would be the potential ideal candidate.

I think poch will be too hard to get unfortunately.

Maybe appoint howe as manager and blanc as dof? Could even maybe have stam as assistant, might sort the defense out at least.

Eddie Howe is a good manager but the United job might just be too soon in his career. And we certainly aren't in a position for another Moyes type fiasco. Having said that, Poch won't come easy given that he is under contract with Spurs for another 4 or so years. I do hope that the club retain Carrick and McKenna post Jose so that the continuity remains.

But before we make another appointment, whoever that may be, we need to make sure that we have the right structure in place to support the manager and also make sure that proper finances are available to help him turn the squad around as we all know that major changes are required to the playing staff to have us compete again.

Neither. We should look on here for the next manager. Sift the posts to find the tactical acumen and motivation skills.

Poch.

Question to eds, would he leave spurs for utd though? surely tottenham won't let him go to a rival, if it ever did come about.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United has a coach so I am not sure how to answer this question.}

I really like Howe, he has a very average squad playing good footy and in a very confortable position in the table, Poch on the other hand has a very strong squad failing to win anything for so many years already. One thing i know that whoever replaces the primitive one will make us look better. I just don't understand how some fans can be happy with what they are seeing from the team week in week out. Mou needs to go and Pogba, Sanchez and even Matic too.

I wouldn't be disappointed with either, though Poch obviously has that bit more experience. Howe would need a good set-up behind him as others have said, but I like what I see with him. Intelligent and forward-thinking. Probably plump for Poch at this stage.

Poch has all the attributes for me, a no brainer if we require a new gaffer.

Id rather Eddie Howe personally i know he's not a popular choice as he's not a big name with a foreign surname, however he has built a club at Bournmouth that is playing very attractive football and he has built this club from L 2 up to the premier league. I just think he would bring our identity back for using the youth set up and playing the attacking flowing football we all want to see. To be honest nothing will happen until we cannot qualify for champions league as this cost the club and that's all the owners care about, we have an inept ceo a manager that won't change his ways and 15 players in the squad that are no better than mid table, all this together means we are where we are in the league for this reason.

There is a present incumbent so the position is not open. Yet it is worrying that some believe the manager of Bournmouth is the answer to one of the biggest clubs in the world. We suffered with Moyes, who had managed a bigger club than Bournmouth. If I was to speculate I would ponder about Conte in present circumstances.

Defence flattered once again by DDG.
Strikers that, despite certain qualities, are inconsistent in performance, but very consistent in their inability to actually strike.
A coach who by all evidence cannot coach.
Fellaini does not seem to get the "right wigging" that was routine last season. Has he improved or has everyone else regressed more than I realise?
This is painful to watch and even hear about second hand. I really don't think I want to do this anymore.

Ed, would you be so kind to share any info you have on Eder Militao of Porto please. We've been linked with him today and seems like a new one to me. Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach and I am not sure if he could get a WP.}

United plus any centre back under the sun is an easy story for any paper to write given our obvious deficiencies in the area and fans desperaion for new shiny toys.
