I don't really see what so many of you have against Blind. He was one of the best players at the World Cup and will greatly improve on what we already have. So now we have 2 of the best layers from the World Cup. What are the chances of one more?

Irishlad

1.) Blind is painfully average. He's versatile - but doesn't excel in any position. I'd rather we took Song on loan or kept Cleverley.

2.) I agree. blind has great vison for a pass and his work ethic is just amazing. he may not be the biggest player or strongest but neither is messi. i'm not comparing blind to messi as a footballer but blind is a good player and will be a good signing. her can play many positions and that is what utd need.

we need him in midfield and as a left back and a center back. great signing for utd anyone who doubts this doubts utd as a club!

3.) Blind isn't good enough for cm we have a better lb and a better lcb already.

4.) 30 Aug 2014 12:04:24
He got player of the year last year in the Dutch league playing as a dm, and he is versatile, he'll be a great player for us and so much better than what we have now

5.) Curtr_9
Thats a bold statement.
Blind would be a good squad player but as a CDM he should not be a starter, as Ryan says we have better for the left.

6.) 30 Aug 2014 13:15:26
Redseven.

You'd rather keep Cleverly than have Blind? Behave, he's a good player

7.) And I stand by that so called bold statement.

great signing and soo much better than what we have in ando and fellaini put together. sit in front of back three.

8.) Curtr_9 -

What about people who doubt Anderson and Nani and Cleverley? Do they too doubt United as a club?

We don't need him as a left back (we've just signed two left backs) and he's played CB a handful of times as a last resort (like Fletcher and Carrick). What we need is a strong, robust midfielder with a good range of passing who can break up play and link up our defense with the rest of our midfield. That's not Blind.

9.) Curtr-9
The bold statement part I was referring to was
"anyone who doubts this doubts utd as a club"
We all have different views dude but it does'nt mean we don't love our club.

So Roma have paid 8M for Gervinho. Do we think that Nani is only worth the same as Gervinho? If he can fetch 8M then Nani has to be worth at least 15M

Irishlad

1.) I believe Nani will stay at the club and prove himself worthy, then sign a new contract.

Does anybody else think it would be funny if we went after Suarez? How would people feel about that? I think it would be worth it just to see the look on the other lots faces!

Irishlad

1.) Do not want him anywhere near the club, Ferdinand and Evra would smother him with a pillow while he slept.

Hi guys,

Not a rumour just a thought. Do utd fans want Rooney to stay? I personally do and as we are Manchester United and we always move forward with dignity and respect I would be very disappointed if any fans decided to boo him when he takes the field next. I don't ever remember a player being booed and I hope it doesn't start now. The only people who know what is going on are Rooney, Moyes and the chairman so until they talk publicly about it I think we should continue to get behind the lad and hopefully he will reward us with 30 goals this season!

Irishlad

1.) Well said. Even if you've been a supporter for 50 years you haven't contributed the sweat, blood and trophies that Rooney has helped the club win. He's one of the best players the club has ever had, and he has one down year and everyone turns on him. I don't have an issue with his complaints two years ago (no transfers) or his complaints last year (out of position/subbed/not played). And even if you do have an issue with how he's acted, the years he's given to the club mean he deserves a proper reception as long as he wears the colors of the club. If he moves, you'll all have plenty of time to rain hate down upon him.

2.) I wouldn't sell rooney to chelsea no matter what unless we got mata

3.) Faced with nobody coming into the club, a number of people who were against Rooney are now saying he is a good asset

I would let him go. He will never be world class and even when Van Persie retires he still won't get a regular games as he is not good enough. Needs too many chances to score 1 goal and clumsy with the ballat his feet.

I agree with donalz. We are totally wasting this player.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys but does Ozil not play the same position as Rooney and Kagawa who by the way I believe to be a fantastic player? If this is the case is it possible he could play CM?

Cabeye has quality but not what we need. He is quite similar to Modric. Probably stronger on the ball than Modric but no real pace and has not been tested at a top team. I do believe that although they play different positions I would rather have Fellani as I think he would strengthen us more. Of course I would rather Fab or Modric but if it was a choice between Cabeye and Fellani I would choose Fellani. unless we bought both?

Time will tell if this is true or not. But if it is we will finally have addressed our major weakness. If we get these players it will have a knock on effect on many of our other players. For example it would probably helps he like of Nani to perform better. Also I think the reason we leaked so many goals last season was because our mid was so bad that our defence were constantly under pressure. Also Van Persie had to work very hard for his goals last year and often had to drop very deep to get the ball. Imagine if we were strong enough in the middle so players like Van and maybe even Rooney could get back to being total strikers. All that said let's not get excited just yet!

Why do we assume he is a dominant voice? Does he speak better English than Jones!

There has of course to be something to that. Those are significant numbers.I suppose it does not necesserely mean they will be filled this window though!
