Papers are suggesting that Cavani will be on his way due to strained relations with Blanc. Apparently Ferguson's relationship with Blanc could ease the way for a summer transfer. Is there any credibility to this story and if so where exactly or how would he fit in to the squad? My only worry is that paper speculation at this stage is not about bringing in a CM or an LB. Do any Ed's know about any decent information surrounding the addition of any players we actually need?

1.) Personally I can't see cavani coming to old Trafford but any thing is possible and would be a good addition to strike force

Reliable sources have suggested that any further January acquisitions will not take place as they are building a squad around Rooney subject to his contract being accepted.
Instead, acquisitions will be in place for the beginning of the summer when 3 new major sponsorship's will fund the capital replacement.
There will be lots of skepticism on the board and from the papers but Manchester United's transfer window is officially shut.
1.) Seems a very unlikely rumour to me. Rooney is unlikely to be with us long time so building a team around him makes no sense.
