Another depressing night watching my pathetic team throw away a game. When will this season be over? Do I have any faith that next season will be any better?

I read a lot on here about whether Ten Haag is the right man or if the team are throwing him under the bus. Honestly, I wouldn't be upset if they all went.

How many more of these toothless displays must I watch?

Those players need going before any manager

Every 18-24 months for the past 10 years we have said the same thing “sack the manager”

It’s time the manager is backed and the same pretenders that have thrown previous managers are sold

If they don’t want to leave release them.

When Chelsea equalised I was livid and thought damn it we've lost the 3 points. to then not even get a point You can only imagine the words that's left my mouth. Shocking.

The only positive I take from that match is Kambwala proving again that he's good enough for a run - utterly irrespective of which injury-hampered senior is available.

We lost today because some players forgot they're professional and well-trained.
Nothing ten Hag could have done about that, nothing to do with training or the medical team, we simply lost today because the moron-switch was too busy.

Gutted. Not sure what to think of what i saw. Its a team that seems to have mistakes in it and some of the strangest individual stuff you will ever see. Most will jump on eth but saw him maybe say 1o clearly telling them keep the ball and keep your shape. Cannot see how any manager will get rid of this stuff. this is a long rebuild and 3/ 4 years and most will not be here if you get it right. Still think Dalot is very good player and not going to join the hate brigade.

Maybe best to miss europe all together if it was not for our finances and get a season next year as building block. still think we will beat the scousers on sunday though :) its karma and can't explain it.

Yeah a tough watch. Bitter pill to swallow after coming back into it.
My bias aside it was a soft enough pen, dalot was caught wrong side and tried to recover a bit clumsy.
I'd have praised the team if they had held out but its about habits and our players don't have good habits in terms of keeping shape passing and moving. Every single player out there tonight are very capable of passing the ball 10 yes 15 yes and keeping possession but they are not drilled that way.
Another 28 shots against tonight on the plus side we had 19 so at least we attacked.
Anthony showed he can play ( I'd be staying well clear of cuccarala)
Garnacho again our best player.
It's easy to say in hindsight but putting rashford on was high risk and taking garnacho off was baffling. Put those decisions are up to the manager and he is doing what he thinks is the right thing. If it comes off then he has made the right calls if it doesn't then he has to accept the flak.
Go into the Liverpool game with some hope I agree ahmad.
It wasn't all bad tonight and a little unlucky not to get a draw.
European football is crucial for this club and for the supporters.

Would have been lucky to win that. To be honest we were lucky to get a point. Awful again. Game in game out we get ripped to shreds and nothing changes. Brentford can feel hard done by though no doubt eth will have watched a different game to the rest of us??‍♂️.

I know it's a pointless friendly Wazza but that's the sort of game to blood youngsters as opposed to players Southgate knows all about. I would like to have seen how Mainoo integrated with Rice and Bellingham.

Ken, I think Henderson is odds on under Southgate. But Mainoo (or an other) would be picked by a better coach who didn’t have so many insecurities.

Now the dust has settled, looking back at the game without the tinted glasses. We created 3 great chances in the first 30 mins, pressed very and were on top. Liverpool then came into the game, maybe we got tired or they stepped up. The first Liverpool goal was a deflection and rhe second could have been a free kick on Bruno. While Liverpool dominated possession and the game for 40 mins in the second half they never really created any good chances. Their 3rd was another deflection, we actually created the better chances in the game and missed 3 of them. While we need more players l do think a strong CB and a partner for Mainoo we are not that far away. We are still very vulnerable defensively, but we are creating chances, just not taking them consistently.

Well said right Recon. And the expected goals too were on our favour. But they had some good moments and 5 against 2 and made the wrong decision . With better decision making they could score a couple more at the second half and put the game to bed.
