The press are claiming we will not be going for a CB instead we will consentrating on Sancho, why not do both?

AllgoneRom

1.) 13 Mar 2019 11:08:02
"The press are claiming"

2.) 13 Mar 2019 11:27:27
I named the paper but must be a no no here, I just think it's silly season all season for us and rumours everyone knows we need to a CB.

3.) 13 Mar 2019 12:48:29
If the paper name didn't make it through then shows how credible it is.

4.) 13 Mar 2019 13:15:27
I wouldn't worry AllgoneRom, the papers have no idea. We may sign a new CB, we may not. It will depend on if the manager feels we need one. I don't think signing Sancho will change anything. He'd fill the RW position nicely and there will still be funds for a CB if needed.

I laughed last week when the press reported a £100m fee for Sancho. TalkSport managed to fill a whole show with that story, which on here we know to be complete rubbish.

Thankfully we have the Eds insights.

5.) 13 Mar 2019 17:17:00
Eds could this really be a believable option.

{Ed002's Note - It sounds like absolute nonsense. The club want a CB.}

6.) 13 Mar 2019 20:09:18
Thanks Ed002.

7.) 13 Mar 2019 20:43:25
Thanks Ed002.

8.) 13 Mar 2019 22:29:12
Could you see them going for Aldeweireld as the cheapest option freeing up money for Sancho and others.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

9.) 14 Mar 2019 05:13:38
Ed already mentioned that Ruben Diaz is our primary target. Skriniar, Koulibaly are other defenders we hold interest.

10.) 15 Mar 2019 06:21:47
Militao has joined Real Madrid so he’s one we can cross off.

It will be interesting to watch Zidane (this time around) as it looks like he will build what will be known as his team (despite the obvious influences from above) rather than managing a team of stars he inherited.

Looks like it's Ole, Norwegian prime just tweeted him wishing him luck.

AllgoneRom

1.) 19 Dec 2018 05:50:13
He should be replacing Lukaku, not Mourinho.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 08:11:26
Maybe he is coming as interim player manager. Really surprised at the choice, but hoping he brings back some of the joy of watching football which we have lost over the last 6 months.

Hi Ed's any truth that we are going for felix, Dias and Fernandes and if so have we made contact?

AllgoneRom

{Ed002's Note - Try searching.}

1.) 25 Mar 2019 09:08:27
Sorry wasn't more clear has there been any further developments?

2.) 25 Mar 2019 16:29:22
Cool down buddy. Things don't move along on an hourly or daily basis. I am pretty sure you will find updates dated within this month so you will be fairly up to date. Transfers generally are long process not an overnight thing. We, along with several other clubs, have looked at the players you've listed but their clubs want large sums of money to sell them so if they were to move it would take a bit of negotiating on the behalf of buying club. Or massively overpay.

Transfers don't move along in the way media's make them seem to be with "red alert" and sh#t like that.

Super result, and guys Fred did well.

AllgoneRom

1.) 06 Mar 2019 23:01:35
Best game I have seen Fred play for us. He harassed them all night defensively. And when Bernat tried to disturb Rashford before the penalty, it was Fred who stepped right in and confronted him. Ole has made every player feel important when he steps on the pitch.

2.) 06 Mar 2019 23:34:19
So proud of our club tonight. I think Fred showed us that there is potential, very happy for Rom.

3.) 07 Mar 2019 00:11:06
Watching Fred in the last couple of games, I was really worried about him today and didn't expect much. But that was a really good performance from him. He might go unappreciated today as there were plenty of good performers. But the way he worked his socks off the whole game and looked so much more confident on the ball. His one two touch passing and moving was good to see and if we managed to have more of the ball then definitely he would have been involved even more in our offensive play. It was reminiscent of watching lindelof last season when he was doing well in European games but was still adjusting to the PL.
On a side note it would be really harsh to say Bailey had a bad game. He had not played for sometime and was playing out of position and our whole defense looked shaky in a back 3. Di Maria and Bernat were really good on that side and Bailey wasn't getting proper support then.

4.) 07 Mar 2019 04:27:13
Yeah everyone has been critical of Fred.
But hats off to him, he played like a lion.

Mbappe reminds me so much of original Ronaldo, I was afraid every time he got a run going.

12 Feb 2019 22:18:59
Well that was terrible Sanchez offers nothing and mata is done, dalot should play, big Rom should have came on after 60 an Pogba was stupid.

AllgoneRom

1.) 12 Feb 2019 22:58:15
Pogba was stupid? That was never a yellow card. He was the one actually fouled. Was a ridiculous decision! We didn't play well tonight but we were a tad unlucky with the 2 injuries and kimpembe should have been off and then goes and scores the opener. That ref was an absolute nightmare. Amateur to say the least.

2.) 13 Feb 2019 04:45:16
The ref had a shocker.

3.) 13 Feb 2019 07:47:59
Pogba was diving into crazy tackles, he was frustrated but should be more composed.

08 Feb 2019 14:04:05
I am worried that Jones new contract means no new CB in summer.

AllgoneRom

1.) 08 Feb 2019 14:08:43
Might just be to boost his value.

2.) 08 Feb 2019 14:19:58
Surely it’s to try to recoup some money when he is sold in the summer.

3.) 08 Feb 2019 15:38:58
People need to get over this one, he got a new contract, so what? Players with long contracts leave clubs all the time, and if not then he is obviously in the managers plans and fair play, he has done pretty well since Ole took over.

Calling players 'deadwood' really frustrates me.

It does not under any circumstances mean we won't be looking to improve the squad in the summer.

4.) 08 Feb 2019 15:58:58
Which clubs will want to pay a significant sum of money for phil jones. We got lucky that a chinese club came in for fellaini and i doubt they would silly enough to buy jones as a foreign player.

Also where is this track record of us selling players who are not good enough to clubs for a significant fee?

5.) 08 Feb 2019 19:27:50
Maybe he will be used as cover instead of needing to purchase another centre back to sit on the bench. There’s bound to be a plan so let’s wait and see.

6.) 08 Feb 2019 22:09:47
Apparently United are starting an ice hockey team and Jones is in as the goon.

7.) 09 Feb 2019 05:02:30
We paid a whopping £16.5M for him and he has been a no fuss servant of the club. He’s played various positions when asked. He’s consistently been selected by various England mangers.
I don’t think it will require a huge fee to recoup some of our costs for Phil. I think he’s the kind of player managers like. He’s experienced, reliable 95% of the time when fit.
May not be a Utd first 11 player but I’m sure at 26 other EPL teams or promotion chasing Championship teams would have some interest as they have with other Utd first team cast offs.

8.) 09 Feb 2019 05:56:16
I don’t think Phil Jones is as bad as people make out, he does make a big mistakes (which is bad) but I do see him as a decent defender I think he lacks in confidence, but he stayed fit and had a run of games I reckon he wouldn’t be as bad as people make out.

9.) 09 Feb 2019 06:01:17
Dsg were atm as a fan, we’re have we got any benifits of selling Fellaini in January?, long term maybe older player off the books but atm I see it as we’ve lost a midfielder who can affect big games without a replacement.

10.) 09 Feb 2019 10:22:12
There are at least a dozen clubs in England where Jones would improve their defence. We now get a fee for him if sold. Simple and sensible business.

However make no error: Fergie, Moyes, LVG and Jose all rated him, and so it seems does Ole. I think they’re better qualified than us to make an assessment.

This maybe stupid, but if Sanchez has 3 years left which adds up to say 50 million wages (random numbers here) could we not just sell him for that amount and use the money to pay him off?
