My point is that the "gaps" are not in the resources but in the approach, style, tactics. Needs a bit of man management and motivational support!

Zaid - in my example they are both train! Different trains granted but both trains regardless. The signalmen are those (or maybe the special ONE) in control!
My point is - and it was not about Vardy who is OK but not brilliant IMO - you already have a group of players that could compete with the best in the league and be perhaps the best in the league if they were organised to do so.
Sort the organisation out first before getting more in to a disorganised or poorly organised tactically situation. Seems a a certain German guy just about 30 miles west on the M62 seems to be doing so with largely a group of arguably less talented (or at least as well known and expensive) resources many of who he inherited last season. Your guys, on the other hand, have already spend tons right?!

My team is a league 1 side (shall remain nameless) and I have no real ongoing soft spots for any Prem side to be honest.
I do though like to be entertained so I tend to continually watch/ follow/ or wish well to the sides each year that are entertaining. Whilst your team is definitely not one of those so far this season, and again I'm not going to name any that I think are as I don't want to entice backlash and they are relatively obvious to the average observer anyway, I do believe you have the players in your squad to be so.
So I get a little frustrated when I see fans write about the need to bring in more resources instead of thinking or commenting more about how the club is going to make better use of the decent resources it has today.
As a parallel example: if the trains are not running because the signalmen are not doing their job well putting more trains on the rails is only going to compound the issue.

as i said on a post yesterday i am not a man u fan but a fan of football. good exciting entertaining football, the type that spells going out to dominate and win games, which unfortunately is not your team right now.
unfortunately my team in league 1 is not afforded the richness of talent your team has and i somewhat agree with what herefordred is saying.
all this nonsense i read on this site about "we need a new player here, we need a new player there" is utter craziness!
you spent a fortune pre-season and you have a richness of talent that is arguably the best in the league! the squad would definitely at least be valued in the transfer market as somewhat higher than most!
getting new players in is not the cure, getting the abundance of talent to play is. that requires motivation. man management rather than tactical management has to come first. get it into their heads that they are the force to be reckoned with as a team not as individuals! personally i look back and wonder if jose is the manager to do that? you do have exciting talent and young parts of that that really wan to be unleashed. does an egotistical defensively minded manager have the man management skills to motivate those. do the other egos sitting within the squad - and there are some big ones - feel inclined to help him and really truly become part of a team?
i don't see that right now and so if i were yet another proposed transfer target for unite don't i'd think twice about whether i want to be ruined in a squad that has all the makings and ability but none of the strategy and approach to be the best!
