Not sure if Barcelona are after Pogba or ever were, but could a swap deal with Dembele be done?

Cantonas seagull friend

{Ed025's Note - swap deals very seldom happen im afraid CSF,,

1.) 15 Dec 2018 15:35:45
Was the Mina and Gomes swap for Pogba last summer bull?

{Ed025's Note - probably mate, i would imagine agents would frown upon it as they would lose their cut of the transfer fee..

2.) 15 Dec 2018 15:59:41
Given the stories of dembeles attitude why swap one disruptive influence for another?

3.) 15 Dec 2018 23:18:51
Dembele seems like childsplay compared to Pogba. I’d swap the two for toffee.

06 Dec 2018 18:30:37
Any chance we will go for Robben, Ribery and Sneijder in January?

Cantonas seagull friend

1.) 06 Dec 2018 18:48:55
nah i think they are trying to get Cantona, Pallister and Robson.

2.) 06 Dec 2018 20:14:23
Ronaldinho minimum.

3.) 06 Dec 2018 20:32:58
Charlton is still in the stands, maybe him, Bruce and Yorke would help.

4.) 07 Dec 2018 10:09:58
You spelt Schnyder wrong, mate.

5.) 07 Dec 2018 19:46:38
Same fantastic player however you spell it.
Sign him we'll learn to spell it eventually - I am so excited I getting ready by going to night class.

6.) 07 Dec 2018 20:10:28
Don't forget Gaitan; also on the list.

7.) 08 Dec 2018 07:14:35
All these players are now well into their 30's, which probably means they have now become the first choice targets under our current manager. 😂😂😂.

8.) 08 Dec 2018 20:36:23
Thanks for the clarity Shappy, kinda what i was getting at.

9.) 09 Dec 2018 12:24:43
Who could forget Ezequiel Garay at cb.

10.) 10 Dec 2018 10:08:57
In advanced talks with strootman.

11.) 10 Dec 2018 17:42:02
Gaitans testimonial soon.

Just read on Manchester United Updates on Facebook that we have an interest in Valencias Carlos SOLER. Any of the Eds know him and know if rumour has any legs?

Cantonas seagull friend

{Ed002's Note - I have dealt with this several times and on the Sharkopod.}

1.) 20 Nov 2017 17:57:53
There is an interest as CM option, its possible but very expensive, and he is not the first choice, per Ed002.

2.) 21 Nov 2017 00:17:28
First choice being Milinkovic Savic at Lazio, If I recall correctly.

3.) 21 Nov 2017 07:38:40
Can anyone of you describe those two for me? What their playstyle is like etc.? Who would you prefer if you could chose? I have never seen them play. Thanks.

4.) 21 Nov 2017 08:53:12
Carlos Soler is technically good with very good passing and dribbling ability, able to pick spaces and drive the pass foward and very versatile, he sees and executes the final ball really well and is also a decent scorer. He can play as CM or RW, he prefers CM position.

Segej Milinkovic Savic, like Soler is technically better, physically dominant, can dribble, scores goals and versatile, but his passing ability not good as of Carlos Soler.

5.) 21 Nov 2017 17:02:45
Thanks, kenedyandy.

Without it been a loan deal, is it possible to move on Sanchez and still pay some of his wages? I presume not, but he might sit on the bench and earn millions.

Cantonas seagull friend

{Ed002's Note - Yes but the club won’t want to do that.}

15 Mar 2019 11:36:39
Well let's do Barcelona and then Porto and meet City in Madrid.

Cantonas seagull friend

1.) 15 Mar 2019 11:53:48
Juventus will make the final. Ajax first, then City or Spurs. Plus they are so far ahead in their league that they can focus on the UCL.

Liverpool will beat Porto, have you seen their record against them? 3 wins 3 draws no loses. Although a 0-0 draw away, followed by a 1-1 or 2-2 draw at home will see them keep that record but fail to make it through. However, sadly I don't see that happening. The plus side of Liverpool's draw is that they practically have a guaranteed four more games in Europe, with their squad that could cause them to drop points in the league and stop them winning the EPL.

We will have to beat Barcelona the likely Spanish champions to make it to the semi, in that semi we play Liverpool the potential EPL champions, make it through that game and we will likely have to beat the probable (almost certain) Italian champions.

But I suppose it's called the Champions league for a reason. If Ole lifts the trophy again this season, no one could call him lucky as he will have had to beat at least the champions of France and Spain, and possibly the champions of England and Italy as well.

Also we can approach the game in the same way as we did with PSG, with nothing to lose and everything to gain. It worked out well last time, if we can learn from the PSG tie and take that into the Barcelona tie then there is no reason why we can't make it through.

2.) 15 Mar 2019 12:35:58
Juve and Barcelona final. I doubt we will beat Messi this year as he will be a handful for our defence.

3.) 15 Mar 2019 13:01:34
Would UEFA want a Messi Vs Ronaldo final?

4.) 15 Mar 2019 13:03:53
That's the final UEFA want Messi vs Ronaldo.

5.) 15 Mar 2019 15:09:03
Wow, talk about us getting to the final and still get dislikes. No pleasing some people on here.

6.) 15 Mar 2019 16:45:21
Shappy,

What does their previous record against Porto have to do with the price of fish? I think they will win over 2 legs but not because they beat them with a totally different set of players years ago.

7.) 15 Mar 2019 16:50:39
Must be Liverpool fans. can't be city fans their sites deader than Moses.

8.) 15 Mar 2019 17:06:31
GDS, past records do play a part in a teams preparation and in the psyche of the players.

That being said records are there to be broken, as we did against PSG.

9.) 15 Mar 2019 17:32:38
Mort, Liverpool fan here, popped over to see what yous made of the tough draw. Can't believe people disagreed with the post from Shappy, was puzzled at that, then scrolled down, read your post and laughed. I agreed with yours, despite the rivalry between the clubs I'm not petty, good luck guys.

In fairness, anyone can write yous off because yous drew Barca, but how many thought you would beat PSG in Paris? Those type of nights are what football's all about.

10.) 15 Mar 2019 21:08:24
Irish Bill, its knockout football and it's great. Would love to see you lot in the semi. Feel like its a year for a Manchester club to win it, us with a little bit of luck, or Citeh with Pep and his pedigree.

27 Jan 2019 07:40:24
Who would take Liverpool winning the league if it stopped City winning the treble?

Cantonas seagull friend

{Ed025's Note - not me CSF, you are talking about the end of the world there mate..

1.) 27 Jan 2019 08:23:08
Never. Simple solution to that is we win the cup or the CL.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 08:33:16
Ed, not saying i would, but would also hate City winning the Treble.

{Ed025's Note - if you lived in my city you would think the same mate..

3.) 27 Jan 2019 09:39:16
Liverpool winning the league is one of the harbingers of the apocalypse.

I'm scared tbh they are so lucky that when thanos clicked his fingers only lovren and Moreno turned to dust.

4.) 27 Jan 2019 10:08:41
Deano. It's a well documented fact, when thanos clicked his fingers the whole universe was shafted only David de Gea can save us.

5.) 27 Jan 2019 10:11:30
I choose option C, United win the treble.

6.) 27 Jan 2019 10:17:31
Liverpool cannot won the league at any cost, it would be Armageddon.

{Ed025's Note - as delboy would say.."its a bloody nightmare rodney"..

7.) 27 Jan 2019 10:23:06
It would be the apocalypse. The 6th horsemen would be Scousa after Death, War, Famine, Pestilence and Ronnie Soak.

{Ed025's Note - it would be a lot worse than that mort..

8.) 27 Jan 2019 12:43:43
Give city the world cup for me over pool winning the league.

9.) 27 Jan 2019 13:40:34
Lets hope we land a fatal blow to the Scouse when they come to OT later in Feb.

10.) 27 Jan 2019 16:41:49
No, no, no never ever, ever.

Life would be unbearable for me, as I live there.

All the " this is our year" is driving me mad. It would be 100 times worse if the Scousers win it.

Mighty reds would be here all day, every day for 25 years.

06 Jan 2019 13:06:50
I see we MAY look at Yannick Carrasco this window. I do not know anything about him apart from around 25 years old. If he is deemed good enough for us, why is he playing in China?

Cantonas seagull friend

1.) 06 Jan 2019 13:36:32
Hie fav cuisine is chinese.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 13:45:12
Would be very exciting if this were true. Followed the cash to China, probabky now realising it was a bad decision. Top player.

3.) 06 Jan 2019 14:36:18
He is not a top player. He is inconsistent, lazy, and lacks an end product. Athletico did everything to get rid of him. I hope this is the usual media BS.

4.) 06 Jan 2019 14:36:53
Is he Eric? I wonder if anyone else is looking? What position does he play?

5.) 06 Jan 2019 18:56:59
Well therein lies the difference as to why football is such a wonderful game. Danny P has thoroughly scouted him and spoken. 👀.

6.) 06 Jan 2019 22:19:22
Eric, Danny's right though. He has talent, yet too often his consistency let's him down. The player he most reminds me of is Nani, although Nani did manage one consistent season where he was excellent.

Atletico were more than happy to sell him, and for good reason. He went to China because no one saw a player worth gambling such a high amount of money on as worth while.

There are better prospects in our academy, and they would likely be just as inconsistent at this stage, but there is at least the hope that they might become consistent with time. Carrasco won't achieve that.

7.) 07 Jan 2019 08:14:11
I loved Nani though Shappy. We haven’t had a player like him since. Nani!

8.) 07 Jan 2019 10:55:59
Eric, I loved Nani too. Me and Nani share a birthday. On his day he was unplayable, yet you needed to play him every week for that to happen and you would be lucky to get 5 or 6 games a season where he would just click.

The league has become too competitive to have a player you will have to carry 90% of the time.

We need players who will contribute even when they aren't on form.

Carrasco isn't a player who offers that. He is either a 5 out of 10 or a 9 out of 10 and nothing in between.

There are better options available.

9.) 07 Jan 2019 11:52:17
Who you thinking?

10.) 07 Jan 2019 11:52:35
I’m guessing Sanchez should be one!

31 Dec 2018 16:12:17
We took a battering from all when Liverpool beat us 3-1, everyone knew we were there for the taking with Jose and his negative set up. This new attacking and great Arsenal side are beaten 5-1 and not much is mentioned. Why is this?

Cantonas seagull friend

1.) 31 Dec 2018 17:13:06
Not as big a game. Not as big a club.

2.) 31 Dec 2018 18:06:25
Different rivalry, our perch is higher and therefore all and sundry are more pleased to see us knocked off it.

3.) 31 Dec 2018 23:28:36
Maybe because the Liverpool game was the final nail in Jose’s coffin.

4.) 01 Jan 2019 00:28:27
The two biggest clubs in Britain are always going to attract attention.

Surely he does not deserve the United job, did you not see him at Cardiff? Its all down to Fergie and Phelan? How can OLE be so good? In all honesty, the reason he will get the job is how he is the BEST PERSON for it.

Irish, he may have had his back towards the ball, but as it was struck he saw what was happening and put his arm out. I agree it was not a penalty, but he gave the ref a reason to look. Great for us, remember NANI been sent off when he should not have been, so its just the rough with the smooth.

Pretty sure those selling the pictures based on Panini stickers has caused Uniteds Multi Million pound merchandising a few problems? Why not just laugh and give their blessing to a small Kompany?
