Tevez has signed for Juventus.
Good Riddance From Manchester.

Colin The Red

1.) Nothing to do with man utd!! why ya bringing it up on here!!

2.) So the "Welcome to Manchester" banner was not directed at United? He had been with us the previous 2 seasons so why the wording?

We all know why. Yes I liked him when he played for us (100 % effort on the field) but his attitude stinks and the Leopard could not change his spots at eastlands.

No news in not bad news. United are quoted on the New York Stock Exchange and any significant financial deals should be announced there first.

Colin The Red

1.) I can't remember, but was the Zaha signing announced on the NYSE prior to any other announcement?

J - Stand

2.) I will check tomorrow. I am a Stockbroker and can check. When Fergie retired the rumours did grow too strong and the club were forced to make an announcement prior to Wall Street opening.
Wall Street opens at 2. 30 our time but formal announcements start a couple of hours before opening.

Assuming Arsenal finish 4th AND win the FA cup then does anyone know what happens to the Europa Cup place ear marked for the FA cup winners?

Does it go to the runners up in the FA cup (Hull in this case) or to the side finishing 6th in the league (Spurs or us in this case)?

Cheers

Colin

1.) We need 6th to get a place mate

2.) Was explained yesterday mate

3.) 28 Apr 2014 22:57:22
No hull will get it mate

{Ed004's Note - Good I'd rather we had no distractions. Imagine the position we will be in to challenge for the league with 4/5 top signings and a world class coach?}

4.) Spot on again wiganred

5.) Apologies Al - I didn't see it. Just used the search engine - and found it! It works! (:-))

Any chance of Scholes, Giggs, Butt and Neville (P) making an appearance for the team? can't be much worse than some displays this year LOL.

Who can do a Mark Robins for Moysee tonight?

I hope someone can but the cup is turning half empty no matter hard I try to stop it doing so.

Come on lads - give something back to the fans.

Colin The Red

1.) Kagawa if he plays.

2 Questions

1. Who do we want to win the title between City Chelsea and Arsenal?

2. Can we finish 4th?

JMO 1. I feel I should want Arsenal as the other 2 have sugar daddies but now Chelsea have sold Mata to us they are back in my good books plus RVP would be gutted if Arsenal won it the year after he left after 9 barren years so come on Chelsea.

2. I think we can. There are still 14 games to go plus this weekend could have gone worse if LLP and Spurs had won. Also the pressure will crank up - squeaky bum and all that. If Lpl don't get 4th then Suarez if off so imagine how their pressure is going to build up now. I think we will adopt the siege mentality and the winning instinct will finally kick in.

Cheers

Colin The Red

1.) 1. Arsenal, a proper club
2. No, too inconsistent

2.) 1) Arsenal
2) No, I really don't think we can. Our strongest 11 (in my view) on paper is a very strong 11. We could have had it out at stoke barring Vidic, but we didnt.
I really can't see us getting 4th, not because the other sides are to good, but because were not good enough.

3.) 1-arsenal
2-no chance

4.) 1. If Arsenal win, and I prefer them to City or Chelsea, I fear they would gain the confidence to to do it again and again. Against us, Chelsea and City I don't think they have to belief but if they win the league they will.
2. Possible but a big ask now. 74/6 points will probably be needed and with only 42 to play for we can only afford to drop 6-8. If we can find some form, get/keep main players fit and learn to start winning again - YES but it's a long shot now.

5.) Arsenal.

Not likely, but still possible.

6.) City. They're a northern club.
And yes we can if we get our act together.

7.) Arsenal. Maybe but need a signature win along the way in the next few weeks. Arsenal away or city at home and no more losses till the end of season.

It is good to see Ed0002 back - hopefully!

Do you think they could re-open the transfer window for a day for us?

That last day was awful without his/her input and I am sure that was why Woodward got it all wrong - he was waiting for some insight!

Damn right, not the same without you Ed02! Please delete any tool who decides to break the rules in future. I mean their profile obviously, not as in permanently!

Knowing Mr Woodward I bet we sign Miranda Hart.

I wonder if we could Loan him for the rest of the season. We do not play Chelsea again and it would help them if we could beat Arsenal and City. I can dream and clutch at a few straws.

How the mighty fall - plotting to scrap for 4th spot!

I kind of agree with your earlier post about not needing 4 or 5 players.

We definately need the creativity in midfield and the ideal would have been Fabregas but I can't see that happening unfortunately unless Barce don't utilise him properly but again can't see that happening. Modric or Herrera I suppose look possible?

I also would like a young centreback to build for the future - Vidal is mentioned on here but I thought he is more of a defensive midfielder and we have Jones already. I was surprised we were not linked with Shawcross from Stoke but he maybe not good enough for Europe but in the EPL he is a dominant CB like Vidic was/is.

I would also like to seee Januzaj brought through - as he is doing.

Also I don't think Fergies record on the head to heads with the other contenders was that great. We have been more consistent at grinding out results against the so called lesser teams over the years so the next 6-7 games will give us a better indication of where we stand.

January will be interesting this year IMO as it looks like we did bid for Bale so maybe/hopefully that is what took up Mr Woodwood's time. If this is correct then surely something big is going to happen in January. can't wait for the rumours to start after the last awful window!

Colin {Ed044's Note - You are tight that Vidal is certainly not a centre back.}

I think you will find it was the year before last that Citybeat us 6-1 and went on to win the league on goal difference.

I hope history does not repeat itself although would anyone take second place now in Moyes first season?
Personally NO but this might change!

What about Wigan where he can team up with Powell perhaps? Our future together and not too far for travelling.

Incoming players will have the pick of some choice numnbers

3(?), 5, 7, 9, 11

I know numbers do not mean much but it is still interesting - slightly. Exciting times this summer.

I agree that Fabregas would be preferable to Kroos - and almost any other player for that matter. Just what we need.

We also need a strong defensive midfielder to put the steel back in the spine of the team IMO.
