Ed002. The Sharkopod you produced a few months ago was of great benefit and it was the first time the club had been linked with 'wildcards' such as Matic and Morata

You also were on the money about the signings of Lukaku and Lindeloff.

Yesterday when I mentioned revisiting the Sharkopod for clues of remaining interest, you stated that it would no longer be of any use as interest has moved on.

If possible would you be able to give an update of what interest remains and what the club is looking to do for the remainder of this window? I appreciate your very busy and understand if it's not possible.

I believe we are looking at Aurier, Bertrand and possibly Bale?

Many thanks
Cumbria.

{Ed002's Note - I will try and do an update this week - but it is very busy for me right now. I am not aware of interest in Bertrand but there is in Aurier and don't lose sight of Fabinho - but again it will be difficult. If Bale were to be sold then MU would likely be interested as it has become a struggle with Perisic after delaying matters so long.}

Admittedly this isn't the correct page to ask this question, but a quick question for fellow football fans. what happened to Ronaldo wanting away from Madrid? It was the big headline story at the start of the summer, but now it's like it never happened.

Cumbriaunited

{Ed002's Note - He was never going to move this year - but in 2018 he will.}

1.) 13 Aug 2017 23:16:02
messi and neymar have pay rises he wants his.

2.) 14 Aug 2017 03:31:37
Will the MLS or stay in Europe be his likely destination if he is to move Ed, or elsewhere? Not even going to mention us as I've given up on it a long time ago, he's worse than that ex you can never get over haha.

{Ed002's Note - You are on the wrong page. This is the Manchester United page.}

I'm not sure what is the most exciting. the fact that today is the start of a new pl season, or the fact Ed002 is possibly releasing a new Sharkopod.

Sharkopod and start of premiership in one day, I might just explode.

I think we can forget about it today mate. For some reason I believe the Ed's will be a little busy on the Liverpool page 🙈.

Another question for you all on this Saturday evening.

Which game (United or other) that you have attended has had the best atmosphere?

I've been luck enough to watch Boca Juniors 4 times over the past few seasons in the bombonera and have to say it's unbelievable! I wish I could post a couple of videos! The atmosphere for the goalkeepers warm up one hour before kick off was better than anything I've ever heard in English football!

Best United atmosphere has to be the only away game I've attended and that was at Bolton a few years ago when Rooney scored a hat-trick.

Have a great evening all!

I went to the blues villa game that enkleman screwed up it was intimidating but a fabulous atmosphere.

I was at the Motherwell vs Celtic game when Scott McDonald's two late late goals caused the helicopter carrying the league trophy to turn around and head towards the Rangers team. I support Motherwell and don't have any love for either of the Old Firm but it was wonderful to see the absolute a-holes who snuck into the home end (and revealed themselves in the 88th minute to be Celtic fans by celebrating the title in our faces) brought thundering back down to earth by two goals in the next three minutes.

"Scott McDonald scored two goals, e-i-e-i-oh, with an overhead kick and a cheeky wee flick he f***** Celtic, Scott McDonald scored two goals, e-i-e-i-oh! "

Remember it Bond? ;)

Not a massive England fan but managed to get a ticket an hour before K. O corvette Greece game and that Beckham free kick, was an unbelievable atmosphere, and United 1 possibly Suarez 1st game back afterwards ban, was brilliant the k stand was rocking.

Had the chance to attend a couple of games in Turkey. I've never seen anything like that.

6.) 06 Aug 2017 07:25:41
Barcelona 1984 Old Trafford, Maradons, Schuster, 2 nil down from the first leg. At half time (we had a decent presenter then) he announced the fans had been brilliant (we were 1.0 up) but the team needed more in the second. I stood in the Stretford End and the Stapleton goal in front of me was an unbelievable moment. People talk atmosphere these days but when we had standing behind the goal it was more intense.

Another game that doesn't often get a mention is the 79 FA Cup semi against Liverpool at Maine Road. It was the unbeatable Liverpool back then and we drew 2.2. Unbelievable atmosphere back then and led to the replay with the Greenhoff moment.

Perhaps these games were the most intense because we were underdogs as we were in 85 for another semi at Maine Road against Liverpool. Wow that was also some atmosphere

The England Greece game at OT deserves a mention, funny because I was sat next to a moaning southerner who announced he had seen enough and left two minutes before Beckham scored.

Thanks for the replies all! Good read.

Villa Park 1999 Cup Replay. Arsenal 1-2 Utd. Truly awesome when Giggs scored. I've never lost myself so much in a celebration. Until a few weeks later when I was in the Nou Camp. Amazing.

Possibly been asked before and I apologise if I have missed it, but 'hypothetically', who would agree to a straight swap of Bale and DeGea (I know these swaps deals don't happen, but just interested in your opinions)

Cumbriaunited

1.) 05 Aug 2017 17:47:55
Nope not for me.

2.) 05 Aug 2017 17:50:22
Absolutely no chance in hell should that happen. There's no goalkeeper better than DDG but there are other forwards better than Bale. We're comparing a player committed to the club vs a player quoted as saying he'd never play for United (or Chelsea) . i'd be gutted if this happened.

3.) 05 Aug 2017 17:58:51
No never.

4.) 05 Aug 2017 18:07:49
Not a Chance, would not mind Bale coming in but not DDG going out.

5.) 05 Aug 2017 18:15:48
Bale plus 30M, maybe. Maybe.

6.) 05 Aug 2017 18:59:25
If love bale but not at expense of ddg.

7.) 05 Aug 2017 19:45:59
I would give DDG+Cash for Bale! We need a game changer and let's be honest -- none of our starting 11 is capable enough to do so and we end up with miserable draws! If people remembers Cristiano well - then you will know at times when games were out of our hands --- out of nowhere he would score the winner to convert draws into wins. we never replaced him and given the current market situation -- DDG + Cash to lure Bale would be ideal.

DDG won't win us the league if our forwards don't score! Moreover, DDG almost joined REAL last time around and now just keeping shut just because REAL took a back step.

He will leave us as soon as REAL comes in with strong interest so it's better we use him as a leverage to get BALE.

8.) 05 Aug 2017 21:04:44
Hell no!

9.) 05 Aug 2017 21:10:03
Not Bale, but Asensio plus 50m£ should do the trick.

10.) 05 Aug 2017 21:41:34
A hard no from me.

11.) 05 Aug 2017 23:51:50
For a straight swap yes if bale valued at 90, that would be 72 million profit and lots of good years from de gea and closer to triple than double the price of the world's most expensive goalie.

Your mistaken Ronnie. It was Ed004 whom had a personal opinion that Zlatan would be the last of the business this window. You should know that Ed002 doesn't make those kind of statements and only tells where this interest is.

I think the crowd responds to good football, and this past few seasons we haven't witnessed it at OT. On its day it's the best atmosphere in the country. People always say how the atmosphere at Anfield is good, but if you watch, they sing before kick off, then it's mostly silent.

Cumbriaunited

{Ed007's Note - On it's day? 20 years ago maybe but OT is nowhere near the best atmosphere in the country, Crystal Palace put most EPL clubs to shame for a start.}
