"Thanks for reading" well thanks for robbing me of a few minutes of my life . Firstly Vidal is not as good as keane was has Vidal (no pun intended) had a "Juventus" moment like Keane, did he single handedly drag his team to a CL final? How as Vidal played in European competition, does Vidal have the same effect on his team as Keane . Also your "class" staement doesn't ring through, Vidal has been kind of stringing the media, Juve & Utd (to a certain degree) by not confirming his situation . There were rumours about Keane leaving Utd before he signed his last big contract but as soon as it was signed that was it no rumours he was staying at Utd . Vidal signe a 4+yr contract with Juventus 8mths ago and already is toying with his club and the media .I'm not sure what your idea of class is but Vidal is not showing it . Also your rumour is waffle although as I'm responding to your post a couple of days since you posted you may have come back with another scenario . #onehasashorttermmemory

@Redkezz99 what is this website you speak of?
@BeachBum, relax there. Hindsight is a wonderful thing . I seem to remeber some posts by you in August where you complained about Cleverly & Welbeck . You said they were (paraphrasing here ) "useless " but then you watched a match and you had changed your mind saying that with those 2 Utd were "covered" in Midfield and attack with them . 13days later you changed your mind again saying that they were not Manchester United players . You are prone to an old rant and as for your comments re Fergie to me it leads me to believe you have no comprehension of football at all . Football at Utd is about the long term not a short term fix and if all you are used to is success while supporting Utd well it's time for a bit of humility and less of the sense of entitlement that you as a fan feel you deserve .

In relation to the commercial revenues, if you want to improve the calibre of player commercial revenues are critical . You seem to be letting Fergie off the hook by saying that the current situation is all Moyes fault . Do you not think Fergie should have approached his exit strategy better? The players he left, the players he persisted with that he should have ridded the club of? He got rid of Ji Sung when he should have held onto him . He kept Anderson ( who I like but realistically should have been shown the door as he has not fulfilled his potential) . He should have signed a CB & a Midfielder 12 - 18mths ago . He should have shown more faith in the youth he had at his disposal, Pogba was not given a fair crack of the whip, on current form Januzaj should have been playing last season . It took Fergie 6 yrs to win a league and over 3 to win any silverware . Cool your jets Rock or you will do yourself a mischief . It seems to me you just like to complain but try and cover it up by declaring yourself a gent . True gents don't rant and rave then apologise, bit of an auld contradiction there Rocko

@Rock the Red : That is some self entitlement you have there, just because you might attend more matches than others you feel you have more of a right to criticise? I am not scottish although what that has to do with anything I don't know . In rela

Peashooter . A lot of different ways to define Fergies "arrogant/stubborn" mentality, but hey why use everyday English when there's a chance to flex the auld cerebrum and show others that you have / appear to have a greater grasp of the vernacular .
Anyway my point is this, it's a bit of a stretch to describe last seasons league win as being tantamount to a defeat . It was always going to be hard to replace fergie regardless of who came in . He did a great job winning the league last year and over time I believe Moyes will get it right . I suppose you will be advocating a director of football as most other teams have one .
Also why would you mention "Presbyterian Thrift", you should never bring religion into a football conversation plus Fergie is a Protestant not a Presbyterian

@Aakrozz . I am finding it hard to follow your post but I think I get the gist of what you are trying to say . Basically anyone who doesn't agree with your opinion is wrong . Rooney tried to embarass the club in October 2010 into giving him a new contract . He gave the excuse that the calibre of player at the club was not good enough and also would want to know the identity of prospective new players coming in . Firstly football is a team game and he had no right to question his Team mates and their ability, secondly he doesn't need to know or have any input on players coming in he is not the manager . In saying that neither of the excuses he gave were true, his agent is entitled to 22% of all of Rooney's earnings and had been informed by his former associate Brian Marwood ( City chief exec at the time ) that City were interested . Stretford who had just come back from an 18month ban for misleading a jury in a case centred around rooney . So this was to be his first payday in nearly 2 years . Ultimately the issue was resolved, then in Feb 2013 he wants to leave again . Doesn't have the balls to hand in a written request . So don't be fooled ( as I have previously said) by his recent good form because for the 18mths or so previous he has been very patchy yet you seem to believe he should be rewarded for "getting back in shape " and "trying a little harder " . Open your eyes, the lad has no class . I never said he was a bad player in fact if you look back I have said he's a great player . So I'll beg to differ with you on this, I don't want to see him go but if he was going to stay a deal would have been signed already . We should be concentrating and supporting the players that really want to be at the club and at the moment it looks like Rooney does not want to be there . There is too much baggage with him . Robson, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Neville these players had class, had loyalty rooney doesn't . You know its true

@Aakrozz . Are you for real? Dedication to the club, he asked to leave twice within a 3 year period . "much like us he probably has a heart" what?
He was dropped for the Madrid game & Welbeck came in and scored, what's your point? He let himself go physically for the whole of last season .
He is supposed to give his best on the pitch that is what he's paid to do .
Here's a question for you . Would you rather have Fergie back at Utd with no Rooney or Moyes at Utd with Rooney? I think I know what way you'll answer given your "Rude" reference to Fergie . I think Rooney is a great Player but in Januzaj we already have a replacement there . Rooney cannot handle being the top player at the club he needs someone else to take the heat off him . Ronaldo & Van Persie have done that for him . Don't be fooled by Rooney's form . Would Bryan Robson have acted the way Rooney did? He was in the top 3 midfielders in Europe but never requested a transfer because he loved Utd, I don't think Rooney loves Utd .

@ attitude . The point is total cost of ownwership . How long was Andersons initial contract? This is the important part of this as this determines the period of time that Utd feel that the investment will have broken even, made a profit or made a loss . It's like any business where a contract is involved, the potential for a return . Why do u think the perm deal value is set a £5million ( if the loan is successful ). Do u think Utd will accept a loss? Look at commercial revenues in the period that Anderson has been at the club . The chevrolet deal is worth a reported £357million and a lot of the other deals put in place also gate receipts TV money, merchandising etc more than offset the investment in players, fee's and wages . Also in relation to some of the list Ed02 posted, nearly all the vat mentioned is reclaimable, also some of the services provided are a tax write off .
Also it doesn't matter if he sat on the bench the point is he contributted to the clubs success over a 6.5yr spell a successful squad . Your point re Young, if he was to go now you would need to see a sizeable return on a transfer fee asd he 2 years at Utd so his value has not been offset yet .
If you don't get it now there is no point in me explaining anymore .

@ attitude . So you are comparing Anderson to a pair of shoes . Anyway it depends on what your budget is for shoes, what you hope to achieve with your shoes and ultimately the use of the shoes . Are they a shoe you propose to use as often as possible like every day . If that is the case and you get 2 full years out of the shoes I would say you have not made a loss . What cost were the shoes? this is important . Profit ould only come into it when you decide your shoe budget and also if you intended on selling the shoes on
