Well of course it's subjective and they're different types of player, but in my opinion, he's not at the level of the likes of kroos, modric, iniesta, rakitic etc. at influencing or controlling a game. Yet.

Hi eds, seen a lot of rumours lately about Julian drawer. Are there any truth to these rumours or just lazy journalism?
{Ed001's Note - do you mean Draxler? If so I will have to ask, I don't read newspapers etc, so I don't hear those rumours, so need to chase up info. I will assume Draxler and ask, but if there is another player I have not heard of called Drawer, please correct me so I can ask about them instead.}

Why not play Mata in the 10. I know mourinho doesn't like him but think he could definitely do a job there as it is his best position. Martial and Micki out wide with Mata pulling the strings in the middle and zlatan up front would be scary. I know it's unlikely as mourinho doesn't like him but think it is a good option if he changes his mind on Mata.

Mane has also done pretty well in the EPL (I don't rate him highly and pleased we didn't go for him) . Dortmund attackers and United hasn't been great so far, wasn't Kagawa player of the year as well before we signed him? Let's hope this guy pans out differently.

If only Kagawa came and RVP didn't things might have been much different for Shinji's career.
It can take sometimes a year for a player to settle in and the fact that apart from Cleverley nobody wanted to play one touch football with Shinji hindered him.
Even though by signing RVP we won the league that year, we were supposed to sign Lewandowski, as I read somewhere, and play Kagawa alongside him.
In the long term, if we had robert and shinji we could have been a more efficient attacking unit.
PS we would still have Lingard to play the RW role, if Henrikh is a flop. :D.

Maybe Fresh, I just think the German league is very different to our own but I'm optimistic. Just thinking of why on top of the contract that the fee is lower than Mane as the OP asked.

I don't think we should compare the 2. I like Mane and actually think Liverpool have got a good player. Klopp will need to keep his attitude in line but if they do then they have got an electric player who has already done well in the PL.
Mkhitaryan Looks a real good player, it is accepted we run the risk that our style of play/ the PL will not suit him but if he does settle we have got a gem. Still needs more around him.

beast kagawa was not the actual bundesliga player of the year when he came, iirc that was reus, also why would mkhitaryan coming spell end of mata, as mkhitaryan's success last season came primarily bcz he played rw and not no 10. mkhitaryan flopped badly in klopp's last season and was played as no 10 mostly in that season.
