Fabrizio reporting personal terms agreed with Tellas, fee being discussed with Porto tonight.

Sounds like the amateurs are slowly making progress. They must be paid by the hour rather than by the deal!

2.) 28 Sep 2020 08:01:20
I've heard that the delay of the Sancho deal is for commercial purpose. And I slightly agree with that opinion, imagine Ed pulling this deal so late, after everyone gave up. The Internet will crush.

3.) 28 Sep 2020 09:45:25
Ziko, I would doubt that. I can't see Dortmund being happy to have this drag on just so United can get some big hits on social media. While I can't imagine Sancho would be happy to delay and not be able to move, settle in and start training with his new teammates. Then would Ole be happy to not have a player like Sancho for 3-4 games at the start of the season. We could go out of the League cup this week, while points dropped before he joins could be attributed to him not having signed.

Social media and publicity might play a key role in the club's thinking for many things. However, I would doubt that they would risk dropping vital points that might be the difference between finishing 5th or 4th and qualifying for the UCL just so they can be the biggest trending name on social media for a few days.

I agree on that point, where I too would like to see our final squad as early as it can be. But nevertheless money talks, It is Glazers and Ed in the end, we never know what's up their minds. I'm still positive that Sancho will end up in a red shirt (or zebra)

I heard the Sancho Deal is been held up because he refuses to play the recorder when we unveil him, he reckons he could outdo Sanchez on the piano.

Went to make a cup of tea and we scored three goals, never making tea during football again.

Grimslives

{Ed004's Note - or maybe you have to start making more cups of tea during the games....}

I remember my dad going using the bathroom during a game and when he came back I said "Dad Rooney's just scored a bicycle kick".

I went to see England v Chile and was really interested to watch Salas who Utd were reportedly keen on. Wasnt a great match and a minute or so before halftime got my cousin to come with me to beat the queue to get a drink. Guess who scored the only goal which we missed! Cousin always happy to remind me.

lol Grim :)

When I was young I shouted to my late and much older brother to come as I needed him. He came to see what I wanted and he missed Bobby Charltons rocket against Portugal in the 66 World Cup. He used to tease me about that for years and I remember even though it is coming up 55 years!

I was a baby and woke my dad up when sheringham equalised in the 99 final apparently. Thankfully they brought me down to watch what they thought would be extra time 😂.

Was reading an article today about how much financial trouble Barcelona and Madrid are both in. With the impact of C.V. on clubs finances does that mean we will see the end of the super-sized £100+ million deals for the foreseeable future.

Grimslives

{Ed002's Note - They have made huge savings in recent months and have players for sale.}

Is there any chance that Shanghai would accept Martial instead of sending Ighalo back?

Grimslives

With the games coming thick and fast should we extend Ighalo's contract till then end of the season?

Grimslives

1.) 02 Jan 2021 10:32:01
What’s the point? Has he even played a game this season? With cavani, rashford, martial and greenwood we have more than enough cover.

2.) 02 Jan 2021 11:20:17
Ighalo can't even get on the bench.
What is the point of extending his contract?

3.) 02 Jan 2021 12:50:59
No, not good enough. Simple. I appreciate the effort he made and the desire but there is no need.

Milan having their best season in about 10 years, but if your Donnarumma you want to be winning trophies, even if he is only 22 would you be thinking I would be better off somewhere else.

DDG gets paid a fortune and still has 2 years left on his contract, who would pay a fee and match his wages? DDG will probably leave on a free in 2023.

Best finisher from the edge of the box, best at running at defences definitely, but I don't think its his natural game to stand in thr middlenof the box like Cavani and finish off chances, Greenwood is at his best when he runs at defenders.

Personally I think we have better suited central strikers coming through the under 23s and academy that will be pushing to be in the first team come next summer. For me though Greenwood plays on the left of a front three.

Greenwood is not a Cavani replacement, his best position is on the left or right coming in on goal, nobody is more deadly shooting from the edge of the box than Mason.
What he doesn't do is sit in the middle and finish off chances like Cavani and Haaland do, that is not his natural game.

Remember that TV series with Digby-Jones called The Troubleshooter, where he went into businesses and told them where they were going wrong.
We could pitch a new TV series The Ed, where Ed02 goes into football clubs and tells them how to fix their problems. Netflix will snap it up, especially if we sell it as a rival to Prime's All or Nothing show.

Think Ole has got it right, these youngsters are training with the first team, but the likes of Hannibal is 12-18 months away from the first team. He is Bruno's long term replacement, so if Donny can't get a game, Hannibal has no chance at the moment.
Amad is also very raw, maybe give him a final 15-20 minutes but he is not near a start, especially ahead of Greenwood for whom he is competing for a position. Hugill and McNeill should also be training with the first team as both are showing huge potential to make the leap to mens football.
Shoretire needs to develop physically before he can be considered for the first team, he has play well for the under 23s lately though.

Leicester were out played mostly today, difference is that Alisson seems to be on a self destruct mission at the moment.

Is Henderson really that good or is he just the next Ben Foster?
