From a Liverpool Fan:

Best of luck to SAF in his future endeavours. The man has been the epitome of success not just for Manchester United but also for the premier league.

On the other hand, I hope this puts an end to the Manchester United era. Who ever replaces SAF will have big boots to fill. It will be naive of Manchester United fans to expect the same level of success in future simply because SAF is irreplaceable.
No matter how much u plan, all the contingencies in place, some people can never be replaced.

1.) It doesn't mean another manager cannot still win trophies. Do not kid yourself Buzzer. United are in fantastic financial shape unlike your club and we will still attract big names unlike your club. We will continue to finish above Liverpool with or without SAF.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - They will look for a seamless transition as far as they can, so I would expect much of the "backroom" staff to stay on.}

2.) Ed002 - Will a new manager mean Phelan will be replaced and if so will he leave or just be a first team coach with Muelensteen, I do not know much about Steve Round the assistant at Everton but do you think he would come with Moyes? {Ed002's Note - It is far too early to say ask such things.}

3.) Ed002, I couldn't agree more. It will be a subtle transition. I expect in a couple of year's time, maybe in a year's time SAF will quit as director, slowly moving further away from the club remaining as ambassador.

Sydney!

4.) Shut it sydney he's not having a pop at your club so get of your high horse and take a compliment when you get one, you ingrateful person. And i'm with my fellow Liverpool fan yous can't expect a new manager to hight the ground running and keep it ticking over like fergie? The man has super powers and that's me saying that as a LFC fan. And deep down i'm hoping it all goes tits up for yous any way. YNWA

Lol with everyone getting so triggered over my comment. Calm down people, it was tongue in cheek. And i honestly don't care what your club pays your players.
Great news for guys though as DDG basically guarantees you top4. Without him, you belong with Arsenal, Burnley and Everton in a Europa place fight.

If you lot are willing to pay him 350k a week lol
So basically your club will spend one million a week just to pay Sanchez and ddg their weekly wage.

The VVD and Sanchez situations cannot be compared at all. VVD made it clear since day one that he wanted only Liverpool, not City or Chelsea.
Sanchez on the other hand got greedy and demanded more money from City who pulled out because they felt he was not committed enough to their cause. Hence Utd are his only option now but then he will make a lot of money off your club.

Indian Buzzer

{Ed001's Note - not true. City decided they would rather wait until the summer as they do not need him right at this moment. Nothing to do with money at all. If it was Sanchez would just wait until the summer when he could get a much bigger signing bonus and a bigger wage. This is about his desperation to get out of Arsenal as quickly as possible.}

SchMidfield, Spurs did not demolish Liverpool. Mignolet and Lovren did.

What a useless post by redseven. The replies to that thread were all sarcastic because one poster could not count. Why do u say 'their'? Or do u feel the need to call other people idiots or illiterate just because they support LFC? You wanna entertain yourself, go out and see what the outside world has to offer.
Oh yeah, and no LFC fan considers LFC to be the best in England. We just expect to challenge for the title if we sign Lemar and VVD, otherwise a top4 finish looks the best bet. Get your facts right before spouting dog turd.

From a LFC fan:
Seen Perisic play a couple of times. Would be a good signing for your lot. Not the most skillful but he likes to get stuck in and suits Jose's requirements to a tee, and can be unstoppable on his day. Reminded me of Arnautovic when I saw Perisic play but that's just my opinion. The fee seems a bit steep though.

Its still a c****y way to play with the talent at Jose's disposal. With the money spent, is that the best Jose could come up with? The likes of Lemar and Mbappe (not too dissimilar to Martial in style of play) have not done too bad without Fellaini in their ranks. There are much better ways to utilise Rashford and Martial's talents.

Indian Buzzer

{Ed001's Note - it is the way Jose has always played, just that he no longer has a Drogba/Zlatan to fulfil the target man role. Long ball kick and rush football never died off in the 80s, it just moved to Portugal.

To be fair, Jose developed his ideas from being at Barcelona and looking at what worked best to defeat them. It has since become his go to plan in big games, but it is up to the opposition to find a way to beat it and make him need to change. I just hope someone does soon because it is so boring to watch such negativity when there is quality players like Pogba and Rashford who could play exciting and entertaining football.}

Haha Ed001, for players like Martial and Rashford to develop, Jose needs to actually play to their strengths instead of resorting to hoofing it to Fellaini when desperately needing to score and running out of ideas. Jose will spend big to win trophies since its not going to happen with this current lot. They will probably get Griezmann, Kroos, Lindelof and others and maybe win something that actually counts as a 'big trophy' when making fun of other clubs for winning the EFL and Europa in the past.

Indian Buzzer

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, hoofing it to Fellaini so he can flick it onto their pace was, to a degree, playing to their strengths.}
