Everton is death or glory for Ole.

He must win that game or surely he'll be joining Trump down the job centre come Monday.

It'll test his managerial skillset to the limit plus it'll show whether the players are willing to fight or if they've downed tools and are waiting for Pochettino to arrive.

He doesn't have s managerial skill set keano.

2.) 04 Nov 2020 21:35:16
Players are just as bad as Ole. Its not all down to Ole but he is definitely part of the problem.

3.) 04 Nov 2020 21:38:17
Up for argument, but would you like to see Sam Alardici given his big chance with the rubbish show that is the United defence?

We've got some defenders that were superb with their former clubs, Maguire, Lindelof, some defenders who need proper coaching, Shaw, AWB. Would you swallow your pride and adopt Sam as our saviour if it worked?

4.) 04 Nov 2020 21:55:33
he could not do any worse than stan laurel sorry ole the clown.

5.) 04 Nov 2020 22:41:36
Please . things are bad but they will never be that bad.

6.) 05 Nov 2020 07:07:05
Give Trump a go he could be "YUGE" and might "Make United Great Again 🤣😂🤣.

There's a real chance we'll be 16th this time next week:

If we lose away to Everton (highly likely as they're the 2nd best team in the league and will want a response after losing to the geordies) and Brighton beat Burnley (again likely as Burnley are the worst team in the league) then we'll be 16th with over 20% of the season gone!

Let that sink in.

1.) 01 Nov 2020 19:15:07
We have a 100% away win record so far this year. Let that sink in.

Dreadful, woeful, inept performance in the league yet again and we'll struggle to finish top 10.

I honestly think we could be on for our lowest ever premier league finish.

7 points out of 18 is a disgrace!

Keano1

1.) 01 Nov 2020 18:34:18
That’s exactly what people were saying at the same point last season, that we wouldn’t finish in the top half.

But if an overreaction at this stage. But we were very poor again.

2.) 01 Nov 2020 18:49:04
Thats true Wazza. Its an overreaction after every game. I mean come on. Its not like we lost to Palace at home. Its not like we were humiliated by Spurs at home.

Its not like we were terribly lucky against Brighton getting a penalty after the final whistle. Not like we played a dreadfully boring game against Chelsea. You are right. Its an overreaction to one game.

Some people really need to get their heads out of Ole's backside and see things as they truly are.

Overreaction it is.

3.) 01 Nov 2020 19:02:13
Crisis mode for the next few days then.

Ole is taking us back to our roots, before Fergie, yes there was such a time, we weren't a good league team, we were a cup team.

Of the 42 major trophies we have won, 25 were under Fergie, 6 were Sir Matt, the other 11 from every other manger we have ever had. Just accept that without Fergie or Sir Matt we just have never been that great.

4.) 01 Nov 2020 19:25:01
No disrespect. But I disagree. What we are witnessing is a lack of hiring good coaches/ managers to follow on from great managers who laid the foundations for continued success.

I wasn't around in Sir Matt's time but am sure the manager who replaced him wasn't of the same ilk and calibre. Likewise with Fergie, Moyes was his replacement and we all know how that ended.

Beautiful performance and easily the best of Ole's reign. Full of aggression and purpose with no let up for the opposition. Putting an opponent to the sword until the final whistle rescues them is what we used to do. Hopefully we'll bring this mindset into our Prem games as our league season hasn't got going yet.

The squad looks it's strongest in nearly a decade but still needs the additions of a centre back and right winger plus half a dozen players need moving on (Romero, Rojo, Jones, Jesse, Dan James and Bailly) .

The next game is a real test of Ole's credentials.

Up against Leipzig who have the most sought after and tactically astute young manager in football. They're top of the Bundesliga and unbeaten too.

We'll get to see Ole up against a manager with a proper footballing brain and one who drills his players until they improve immeasurably and become sought after future stars.

Will be interesting to see the difference between the sides and managers and how Nagelsmann changes things mid game to keep his side on top. Looking forward to it.

United might win that game but it won't be because of tactics. Let's not compare the two managers. Naglesmann is light-years ahead of Ole as a manager.

2.) 25 Oct 2020 12:08:31
The next few games, its a tough run.

3.) 25 Oct 2020 12:20:35
Intersting manager nagelsmann done Well finishing 3rd with RB last year, had a good Cup run and easy on the eye.

4.) 25 Oct 2020 12:55:50
I think he's married, Jred.

GrimisnotDead - think you're right and the club are now spending the Sancho money elsewhere (Traore) .

The club obviously think they've spent enough on CBs in recent times and you can see their point.

Ole has had £140m worth of new defenders in AWB, Maguire and Telles in just 12mths so I guess the powers that be figure that's enough defensive expenditure for you Ole now it's time to do something with these players.

Thank God for that and thanks for the reply Ed.

With no Sancho or Dembele coming (according to the BBC) who does that leave us to sign for the wing position. I can only think of Sarr unless Woodward pulls a real rabbit out of the hat signing!

Keano1

{Ed002's Note - I have provided a list of such players the club have shown an interest in. Even the amateurs will not want to buy for the sake of it.}

I take it from your post Shappy that all is well with Utd in your mind and you think we're all set for the new season with a squad to compete on all fronts! Seriously I know the weekend is upon us but have you been on the sauce already!

1. Upamecano. No idea if he fancies life in the north west but why not try and find out!

2. Utd have shown no inclination to pay the required fee for Telles and the clock is ticking.

3. Mason is not a RW. We haven't had a world class one since Ronaldo left in 2009.it's now 2020 for God's sake! Sancho looks world class to me, is young, is English and has even lived in Manchester before plus we've got a free run at him. you couldn't make up a better transfer scenario and Utd are still cocking it up!

4. I'd take Jovic on loan in a heartbeat to provide much needed cover for the front three. No idea why you're bringing up Josh King.

Great post Redman. The club needs a root and branch reform as politicians would say.

We need the following:

1) New Chief exec who has a clue how to run a sporting institution.

2) Ed to go back to the marketing team (he is very good at that to be fair to him) .

3) A Director of Football.

4) A new manager.

5) A new coaching team.

6) A new scouting dept that can spot players before they're worth £80m.

Once we get these in place we can formulate a long term vision for success. then we can start buying players to fit that vision.

As for Bruno (the fans latest obsession) I doubt Ole has even thought about how best to use him once he arrives or how to structure the team around him to get maximum impact from his skillset. He'll just be thrown into the playmaking position and expected to perform miracles then criticised when he doesn't.

Don't get me wrong I'd love it if we bought Bruno as like all fans it's great when your club spends big on creative players. However I honestly think we'd benefit far more splashing that cash on Soumare. He's the sort of box-to-box midfielder that would hugely improve our appalling midfield. A real diesel engine of a player that would break up opposite attacks, shield our fragile defence and allow our attackers more freedom to get forward. I think we should concentrate on getting our foundations right (rock solid defence and energetic combative midfield) before splashing money on lovely luxury attackers.
