Manchester United's current squad is worth €747m whilst Liverpool's squad is €461m, nearly €300m less. That big difference in squad cost, has United only 2 points a head, whilst scoring 10 less goals.
Although you have conceded 12 less but that's down mostly to De Gea.

And it's all because of the constant bus parking. If you actually started playing more attacking football for all games instead of parking the bus so much, you might be a lot closer to Man City.

But as things stand, and the boring defensive displays United produce, we should be second but our ability to throw away games in the last 10 minutes is our major downfall.

Liverpool have lost 2 fewer than United but also won 2 fewer. It is safe to say we have thrown away more than 2 what should have been wins, very late on so we could and should be well a head.

Now, I go back to my earlier opinion, if United had an attacking minded manager, they would be a lot better off like Man City. United have a much stronger midfield than Liverpool which would be able to create a lot more chances for the forwards if they where allowed to.

The first few games of the season, United did show how dangerous they can be going forward.

Og red who says they are worth that much? i'd say de gea apart every other player we have are worth less than we paid for them.

Some united fans point to our league position in every argument. They say we're 2nd and it's a big step forward. But it'll take only a couple of games for all that to change, we may be out of top 4. We already know that there are games against top teams where we will try for a draw. And in the bottom half of table there's some serious fight this year to avoid relegation so every team will be playing like Newcastle did against us.

Sailor is that not the same for every team .
But right now we are 2nd.

Jred our confidence looks down, and mourinho is adamant on not playing as per the strength of the player and squad. Other teams are getting more gelled in with time as the season is progressing and we look like taking backward steps.

So if just some of the games Liverpool threw away had been wins, and ignoring any of the games where utd should have won but somehow conspired to draw or lose, Liverpool would be above its in the table?

Erm, okay. I bet you study the league table just a little too much every week 😂.
