I think it is the typical throwing in of the "Manchester United" name in an attempt to draw out interest from else where. I wouldn't take any notice of this rumour.

I heard a rumor that Ed Woodward is considering making an offer to Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink for him to come out of retirement.
Apparently he's the biggest name Ed's ever heard of, and the money that can be recouped from the cost of the lettering on the back of his replica shirts will make the club a fortune.
