Any eds want to give credence to the claim of us making a bid for Dani Olmo? Looked very good in the U21 Tournament this summer and played on the right for Spain. Looked very versatile.

It's coming from Croatian news sources, so could be anything really.

Hi eds/ anyone,

I see we've been linked by Adrian Kajumba from the Mail, to Daniel James. Says we're front runners, is there any truth in that?

I'd love it if we were, he's absolutely rapid and a good and would represent a better transfer policy from us.

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of sustained interest from Leeds

Thanks Ed. He's in the last year of his contract, so I imagine they could be trying to gather more interest.

I see di Marzio is saying Trippier will prioritise a United move over Napoli - is there any reason he thinks we'd move from him? I have heard he wants to move back to the north west, but surely not to us?

he is shocking. really hope its not true.

2.) 30 Apr 2019 11:48:04
Still better than anything we have at right back. That’s not saying much.

3.) 30 Apr 2019 12:32:32
Good delivery at least. Would prefer Wan-Bissaka or Meunier.

4.) 30 Apr 2019 18:46:26
Doherty?

5.) 30 Apr 2019 21:50:12
Would really like to see us sign Doherty.

6.) 01 May 2019 22:33:24
Hang on, only at the world cup just gone people where wishing Trippier was our right back and many saying he's better than Walker.

I would prefer Wan Bissaka but getting Right Back of that age profile (not to block Dalot), can cross a ball and experienced in Europe would not be a bad signing and improves on what we have by magnitudes.

True recency bias at play here, hardly any player from the World Cup has shone who went to the later stages.

7.) 06 May 2019 14:47:59
I like him, but he has had a disappointing season compared to last. His dead ball delivery alone would make him a decent option.

Hi Eds, or anyone that might be in the know. SSN Running a piece on Lucas Silva of Cruzeiro with a number of teams interested in him.

I had a gander at him and saw he only really broke into the side this season. Is there any interest from us, say in a scouting perspective? or is this just rumour mill going wild?

{Ed002's Note - Lucas Silva attracted a lot of scouts during the last season from across Europe. One EPL side made a proposal about buying him and lending him back - I suspect because of work permit issues. Dinamo Moskow, Benfica and Porto have made their interest known and it is surprising there have been no more firm offers at this time. However, I understand that Marco Silva is keen to take him to Sporting but may well wait until Carvalho's departure is confirmed. But he does appear on a list of players which may well be making a move in the next two weeks.}

1.) Who's currently showing interest in Carvalho Ed? Saw Arsenal and Chelsea being linked with him again and he was also mooted as an alternative for us if the Vidal move didn't happen.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are interested but not at the asking price - Chelsea are interested but they are awaiting news on another player first. Sporting are expecting him to leave, but would not be upset if a deal cannot be put together.}

2.) Do you expect Carvalho to go then ed? If so, where?

{Ed002's Note - It is not what I expect, it is what Sporting expect. Certainly he is one of a list of players that there is interest in form various clubs - and may well move over the next two weeks. There is plenty of time and plenty of movement to come. There are lots of efforts from agents of players from the likes of Shakhtar that are trying to move players on, and there are Italian clubs with business to do, as there are German clubs still hovering and many of the "leading" English sides are still trying to regroup for the new season.}

3.) Thanks for that Ed, will be on the look out for where he may end up!

See there is an unnamed prem club bidding for tchouameni along with Monaco. I know we scouted Bordeaux quite a few times last season, could it be us?

Sanshine

{Ed002's Note - No, it is nothing to do with MU.}

Hi Eds and all,

Saw we have been linked again with Kenedy. Was wondering if there had been any more interest from us and Real? as I believe last year we were just monitoring. Any chance he will move to europe soon, be it with Sporting first, or something like that?

Hi Eds/anyone who follows German football,

Looking at some more rumours today, Johannes Geis from Mainz, is there any chance he will move this summer? I see that Dortmund are interested, but perhaps he is someone we should be looking at if we fail with our other targets.

On a side note, Tuchel, where's he going now? I rated what he did at Mainz and looked pretty tactically aware. I'd like to see him in the Prem.

{Ed002's Note - You need the European pages for this. It is nothing to do with MU.}

Pretty sure he doesn’t have a release clause. Duncan castles was only really reliable when mourinho was there. Even then he wasn’t always right.

We've scouted him for a year, but there's a lot more interest in him from the likes of Real, Juve, Chelsea, etc. Who knows where he'll end up.

How likely would Saint-Etienne be able to get a deal for him Ed? I know they're not as attractive as the prospect of the others, but they could surely offer a financially better deal for Sporting with a fee and sell on clause? I only ask as I follow them.

Sanshine

{Ed002's Note - They won't sign him.}
