One thing I think deserves mentioning is the reaction from the whole team after the final 11. Mourinho is making a team that wants to fight, has the fire in their belly to win and most importantly, team chemistry. He's getting rid of the deadwood, he's making Utd about everything we lost the past few years. Passionate to thrive and privileged to Don the red shirt. The only way is up from here. We'll be coming back as Strong as ever. Great work.

1.) 16 Dec 2016 17:44:42
Great post, mate.

I have never felt so positive about our future.

2.) 16 Dec 2016 23:58:34
Post of the year?

3.) 17 Dec 2016 13:35:07
Stop being so positive! It's not good enough and won't be tolerated on here.

Hi Ed, has there been any interest in lucas moura, and if not do you think there would be if he was made available? he seems such an amazing player, similar to valencia but more dirc wt and not 1 dimensional. I think we need someone direct, as chelsea have hazard, arsenal walcott and city navas. he'd be my pick for a winger if we can't get reus and at only 21 with low wages, he could be a bargain

{Ed002's Note - Not from Manchester United.}

1.) By direct i'm assuming you mean running at full backs etc into the box? If so then may I remind you of a young fella called Adnan Januzaj!

2.) I know we have adnan but bringing in moura ASWELL would be frightening! we need to be interested!

3.) Difference being though, lucas has pace and so would be great for counter attacks. there was a rum he did against marseille showing his blistering pace check it out on youtube

dont be surprised to see a bid being put in for vidal, most likely after cardiff. watch out for it

1.) I'm guessing that's after the game and not after Cardiff put a bid in first? ;)

2.) I can't see a bid going in myself, if juve signed a replaced and gave us the nod yes but as they haven't no chance

18 Jan 2014 21:40:00
apparently rvp and rooney in the squad tomorrow. is someone learning the mindgames ;)

1.) 18 Jan 2014 21:59:29
I would love it to be true but can't see it, maybe Rooney has a slight chance but no more

2.) As much as I would love it to be true both are not in the squad so there no chance of them being on the bench

Just seen a video of miki arriving to a London hotel. Rojo was there giving him a hug.
Miki had a little smirk but that was it, followed by rubbing tears from his eyes. I'm happy Sanchez is arriving but I can't help but feel the way we went about with miki was upsetting. I've always been proud of my club of being a big family. Yes miki was not on form but the way he's been treated had no doubt affected his confidence. I wish him good luck and hope he gets back to his best and hopefully, enjoys a happy stay there. Good luck Henrikh.

1.) 21 Jan 2018 00:58:23
I agree trumours I really wanted it to work for him and he seems like a lovely bloke but I don’t think he is cut out for the style that Jose wants to play. He seemed to lack the mental toughness needed to succeed at united. Immensely talented but a bit soft. I hope he has a successful career at arsenal (not too successful 😂) and that he hits some of the form whilst at Dortmund because he was one of Europe’s elite creative players in his last season there.

2.) 21 Jan 2018 01:01:35
Totally agree, mate. I cringe when I hear our fans use terms like, 'deadwood' to describe our players, or the way they glibly say such and such should be shown the door and we'll bring in such and such instead. I don't care whether you've played one game for the club, or 100, you're part of the rich history of this club. The more hard-headed business-minded, win at all costs type amongst our fans, will accuse me of being too emotional about transient employees, but I have total respect for any player that comes to the biggest club in the world, and tries their best. I hope he does well at a club I respect, and we'll always have Stockholm.

3.) 21 Jan 2018 09:45:13
I was delighted whem Miki signed. Been following him for a few years and it was a suprise signing that hot my excited.

He showed flashes of genius. He played a major role last year in the Europa League and started the season with a bang. I thought we had the real Miki.

Then after 6 games he just fell to peices. Jose hammered him in the media and that's probably the first time it happened in his career. His confidence was shattered. He suddenly seemed to be 'not a jose player. '

As a person he seems like a really nice guy. I really hope he has a blinder for Arsenal and puts them back into the top 4 next season and then a move to a really big club that suits his style more.

4.) 21 Jan 2018 10:33:25
To be fair unless any of us know Miki, none of us can say how he behaved at the club. Always seemed a bit sulky to me but that’s only my perception.

To me, Nani was far more consistent than him and we all know how much grief he gets on here for having the talent and not using it week in week out.

Wouldn’t cry too much over him. Sounds like he is getting a pay rise and he’s moving to Arsenal where’l he will enjoy his football more not Sunderland etc. I for one won’t miss him at our club.

Secondly we are swapping him for Sanchez - what a great

5.) 21 Jan 2018 11:47:55
Yeah seems like a good bloke and it really has ended in tears with the Mkhi situation but i'd wish him th3 best and hoping he will have a great career at Arsenal.

15 Jun 2017 09:04:31
I've not been very warm to this idea but recently I felt why not? Would people take bale if Madrid want rid? I know he's stated he wants to stay but if Madrid want to cut their losses surely he'd be a decent shout? I don't expect him to be 100mil plus with his injuries and we all know when fit he's one of the best. We seriously lack pace on the flanks and bale is one of few names I can think of who can seriously address that.

1.) 15 Jun 2017 09:12:21
They want 70 mil for one of there subs how much for bale?

2.) 15 Jun 2017 10:20:50
It has been said numerous times. Bale is happy at Madrid, and Madrid don't want to sell.

23 May 2017 21:43:49
Huge condolences to the families of those who have been affected by his awful tragedy. I would also like to show my appreciation to all those who helped make a difference yesterday. From offering sofas to sleep on, free taxi rides and the authorities working throughout this tragedy, I bow down to you all and it makes me proud to be part of this beautiful city. Our city is united and let's hope we can continue this in the future. With the final tomorrow I hope the players show not only are they playing for the europa and ucl, but also to show our unity. Let's put out a massive team performance and show them what Manchester is about. RIP beautiful souls.

20 Apr 2017 23:17:23
I'd like to specially mention the cb pairing of anderlecht, felt they had a fantastic game and did their fans proud, as did all the players.

06 Jan 2017 11:13:03
Hi guys thought I'd ask for everyone's opinion
If there was one player who wasn't a big name in the prem that you could take. Who would it be?
Personally I feel we missed out when we didn't get moussa dembele. Like carrick I don't feel he gets the credit he deserves. The way he gets players off the ball and drives forward and starts attacks. Really feel he would add so much more to our team.

1.) 06 Jan 2017 11:28:19
Payet, for me would be great entertainment if you don't consider him a "big name". He reminds me a bit of Di Canio, another that even more so could have been great at United. I think SAF has gone on record as saying that he regrets not signing Di Canio. He would have been another slight nutter a bit like Cantona. We always have room and can handle them at United.

2.) 06 Jan 2017 11:51:44
Agree on Dembele, I was gutted when we didn't sign him from Fulham.

Another would be Seamus Coleman. Had we signed him 4 years ago we'd never have had the RB problems we've seen in recent years and we'd still be sorted for a few years yet.

{Ed025's Note - my problem with coleman wazza is that he is such a miserable sod mate...he wouldn,t smile if he seen a chair walk.. :)

3.) 06 Jan 2017 11:54:18
I thought mahrez before the start of the season. I think he is an incredible player but it would be a close call with Payet. 2 fantastic players.

4.) 06 Jan 2017 12:11:09
Ed - money obviously doesn't buy happiness. Good player though and better than anyone we've had at right back since GNev.

5.) 06 Jan 2017 12:57:07
Not sure about you Wazza, but I think we have the best RB in the league right now in Valencia.

6.) 06 Jan 2017 13:13:49
i agree and how many would of said that about tony in the summer

7.) 06 Jan 2017 13:20:13
Ed i don't think most people will smile if they suddenly see a chair walk, most will freak out.

{Ed025's Note - i would freak out more if i seen seamus smile CSM.. :)

8.) 06 Jan 2017 13:40:28
Love tony but don't think he is quite the best rb in the league. Bellerin Coleman walker trippier are all marginally better imo. But that said Valencia is doing really well and I don't see him as a weak link by Any stretch of the imagination.

9.) 06 Jan 2017 13:50:45
Dembele is one, Winston Reid is another, Kante and Mahrez last season would have been great shouts. Mane is one I feel we missed out on, although with the way Mkhitaryan has been playing the last couple of weeks I'm feeling less aggreived. Lol.

10.) 06 Jan 2017 14:04:15
Coleman is a really good right back imo. Imo not too many players smile enough.
Yorke and Ronaldinho were the kings at smiling on the pitch. Pity there are not more like them

{Ed025's Note - im with you there ken mate..

11.) 06 Jan 2017 13:54:57
I would like kyle Walker very underrated imo

12.) 06 Jan 2017 14:06:33
coleman is the best right back in the league ken.

{Ed025's Note - hes mustard.. :)

13.) 06 Jan 2017 14:19:55
coleman was the best imo not sure he is any more

14.) 06 Jan 2017 14:42:21
who's better jred?

15.) 06 Jan 2017 14:53:38
walker bellerin and tony v.
coleman has been good but struggled a bit last season and hasn't been great this year either imo .

16.) 06 Jan 2017 14:58:33
I'm with you james. Bellerin is also high quality although I think Coleman is better at defending and Coleman scores plenty.
Walker is not a great defender very strong going forward. I like his understudy at spurs a lot trippier (spelling) ex burnley. I'd sign him or Coleman in a heartbeat.
I'd swap Coleman for depay without hesitation.

17.) 06 Jan 2017 15:02:09
Getting back to the original q in the op I would sign trippier spurs right back or coleman and I would sign Robertson hull left back they would offer great compitition to Valencia and hopefully shaw

18.) 06 Jan 2017 15:12:03
If i had to choose, as an unbiased opinion i would have TonyV over Coleman!

19.) 06 Jan 2017 15:23:02
walker and valencia? really jred? coleman had a few injuries at the start of the season but he is coming right back onto his game now he's also the most attacking full back in the country by a mile.

20.) 06 Jan 2017 15:30:57
walker is the most attacking right back imo .
lot of the family are everton fans got a few links there and i'm not sure coleman has been that good to be honest . the whole defensive unit to be honest

i think tony v has been excellent by the way

21.) 06 Jan 2017 15:40:42
celtic told robertson he was too small as a kid ken can you believe it? we also had coleman over from donegal numerous times too as a youngster but hummed and hawed offering the boy a deal and everton stepped in and signed him, what a fullback pairing that would've been, though in saying that we've got kieran tierney who arsenal are sniffing about watch out for that boy ken.

22.) 06 Jan 2017 16:29:58
as long as the guy who plays right back for united does the business jred that's the main thing, just now its valencia he's doing ok but i don't think he's the answer long term though, i don't know about you but i'd love to see a midfield playmaker brought in and another striker to partner zlatan.

23.) 07 Jan 2017 10:53:13

I think Toni has been our best player this season, consistent and not made 1 mistake, I would say that's more than 'doing ok'.

I support the club but the players to an extent. Too many of these players look like they don't give a toss about the club. Back when we had feegie you could see what Utd meant to the likes of evra, vidic, Ferdinand etc. One thing I hated about when we first spent big is that well now be seen as a place to come just to earn big $$$, not based on wanting to play for Utd and we can already see that in the lacksture performances of some players.

Rivalry aside you can't deny Liverpool are playing some beautiful football and salah is an absolute joy to watch, had he been at Utd this summer there's no way he'd have replicated this form due to the way we play sadly. I say this with gritted teeth but I expect them to win the champions league.

Offer them 40 mil and miki for both, best offer they'll get. Seriously though, imagine the boost those 2 could give us. Amazing.
