Herrera & Fellaini to be announced tomorrow if reports are to be believed.

United we stand

1.) If we get these two I'll be very happy indeed. Herrera would be a good buy, great player on the ball who can put a tackle in and Fellaini would add much steel into our mid which is needed.

Rumors that Rooney has suffered a head injury in training.

United we stand

1.) Said to be by Jones in training but someone said exactly the same rumour was on twitter last year and was rubbish

2.) Last two days to make up things. Only Daily Fail reporting it. This could be all over the internet if it was true.

3.) We could really do without this right now. Hope Kagawa is fit.

4.) Hope its not to serious its a pitty if he has to miss the match tomorrow as he loves to play against us 2-1 the pool

5.) Thank god its a head injury.
Impossible to do any damage.

6.) Does this mean he wants to leave again?

Lamela deal done. Bale should be gone anytime now. Hopefully unlock on transfer activity.

United we stand

1.) The problem is after a whole summer " deal done" rumours, expect a signing in next 48hrs, Garay, thiago, cesc, ozil, ronaldo, bale, lewandowski, gundogan, we will end up with Fellaini, and that isn't certain.
That is the type of player Moyes likes, solid but not too skill full or artistic.
He doesn't seem to like kagawa, shouldn't we be seeing Adnan, Powell, lingard, on the bench each game and given some time instead of giggs, surely giggs can see he is stopping the kids coming through.

2.) Press reporting than Baines has asked Everton to agree a transfer to United. Eds is there any possability of a big name signing for use before the window shuts, you have mentioned Fellanini(not the big name we are all hoping for) any more.

Cheers

I've heard that Ozil has had his representatives contact united twice now. I trust this information & ask why have we not acted on this? Do people think he's not a 'Moyes' type player? Fellaini & Ozil would give us the best 11 in the league. Probably the beat midfield too!

United we stand

1.) I have heard 2 things about this one is we are interested the other which I heard first was we didn't fancy him, also seems like he wants 200k p/w in spain due to new taxation laws, maybe he wants 200k p/w here

I have no idea on that, they are obviously just rumours

2.) I suspect the wages of £200k pw might be a detracting factor.

3.) Obviously he's not a Utd or moyes 'type' player because he would cost more than 20m

4.) I'd think as soon as bale is signed we'll have him then and not before, that's I'd we actually want him that is

5.) If this is the case it will no doubt be a different view of valuation and appropriate wages. It may also be a case of waiting for Bale to sign to start the transfer chain or in contrast this could be the delay on Bale going? I'm sure its something like that which is causing the current Bale and Ozil reported strops.

6.) We don't know we haven't reacted, he could easily be one of the players that we are 'close to' as Moyes has said.

7.) I hope so Fresh! Ozil is the link we need. Fellaini & Ozil. Wet dream material of a midfield.

I still say we're getting Fabregas.

Are you really shocked by the stance of "he's not for sale"

Wake up people. Rooney 'isn't for sale' either but there's plenty of armchair United fans that know he's off.

A famous reggae singer once said every little things going to be alright.

Keep the faith!

United we stand

1.) Either the United management in Moyes and Woodward are going to be very embarrassed by actually confirming the bid and it failing or Fabregas will sign for United. I would be very surprised indeed if we are bidding cold without knowing what the player wants.

2.) United we stand.
Just for a second. let me believe rooney is off. but 8n that case we all know its his strong desire to leave if papers are to be believed. now when have u seen such desire reported in papers for febregas.?

Think and reply.

Rodio17

3.) I agree completely it wouldn't look great for the new manager to say in his first press conference that he wanted to sell a top player every player has their price it will just be a case of can we match it and convince Fab to come. Pre season would probably mean that we will add another 5 million or so as we are desperate.

Stew4d

4.) Very true I wish all of ye would relax big signings take time cum sept we will all be happy

5.) "He's not for sale" is chairman talk for "hand in a transfer request, forfeiting payment of the rest of your contract, and you can go"

6.) Yeah, and plenty of armchair fans are wrong about Rooney too.

If the player really wants. to leave, then the club saying they aren't for sale doesn't mean much. However, when the player wants to stay or is willing to consider a move (truer than actively wanting it), then the clubs stance matters.

Neither Rooney or Fabregas will move unless somethingbig changes. That's actually more likely with Fabregas as Barca need the money to strengthen elsewhere more than they need Fabregas. But it isn't likely utd will bid that much.

Thorne

7.) Fabregas will not be moving to United this season. That, I can guarantee. These are difficult times at Barca, with Tito off due to illness. If Fabregas pushed for a transfer now, he would be branded a deserter in Catalan. He is not leaving Barca this season, not for Utd and not for Arsenal.

8.) "Fabregas will not be moving to United this season. That, I can guarantee. These are difficult times at Barca, with Tito off due to illness. If Fabregas pushed for a transfer now, he would be branded a deserter in Catalan. He is not leaving Barca this season, not for Utd and not for Arsenal. "

9.) Bearing in mind the feeling to Fabregas leaving, I don't think the Catalans would care overall. He's booed by most of the fans there anyway who didn't like the idea of buying him to get in the way of Thiagos development. Not sure what they think of Fab now Thiago's gone though.

Dan

10.) 37m should get him. What else could Barcelona say? Why would we keep bidding?

Feeling very deflated today lads. Came home a day early from Turkey to catch the game at ground. I actually cried on the way home, to make matters worse I have this week off work which means I'll undoubtedly reply it in my head with help from my city mates!

Anyone have any silver lining like news to cheer me up? Would be appreciated.

United we stand

1.) I know how you feel. I guess it goes with your level of expectations.

I don't have us winning the league this year and can live with losses as long as we give a good showing, yesterday is hard to swallow given how we got beat.

I had loads of sms and calls, which I did not take:) from various friends who support other clubs and they could not wait to rub my nose in it.

Seriously lads I think we all need to calm down. If Moyes opens his eyes we have one of the most technically gifted players in the PL in Kagawa. He didn't go anywhere which means he must be considered. When Rooney is fit we have a first 11 that can match anyones. Carrick & Fellaini will work together very well. A lot of you will be very surprised by Fellaini. Kagawa Rooney & RVP, there's no better top 3 in the premier league. We'll be there or there abouts at the end of the season. Let's just support our great club & get behind Moyes, he knows better than anyone our chances & I'm backing him. We ALWAYS start slow. If we spank palace & get a result against the noisy neighbors we're on track. Come on lads let's have some positivity, I'm sick of reading doom & gloom about our great club. We have a fantastic starting 11, keep the faith.

United till I die. In Moyes we trust.

United we stand

1.) Doubters, worriers, the mildly concerned and the confident alike, we will all be behind the team despite what seems to have been a royal cock-up of a transfer window.

This has nothing to do with wanting a debt free club where the profits are spent on the players rather than financing debt.

2.) United till I die is right but I have no faith or trust in moyes.
All other clubs strengthened and all we do is sign a good premiership player, who is no where need top quality. and pay over the top for him.
Woodward needs to be sacked, he is clueless in transfer details. Herreras deal has made us look a laughing stock and the amount of players who refused to come to us is embarrassing, never seen it before and I've been supporting 30years,,, even players at other clubs don't fancy playing for mr negative moyes and when we struggle against palace and lose to citeh we will be in serious trouble, as no doubt Kagawa won't play and we will have to deal with playing giggs and sir-miss-a-lot welbeck.

3.) Am trying to be upbeat. Here's hoping to a good campaign and a Fellaini winner against the neighbours.

4.) Drawback is will Kagawa even get a game in front of welbeck

5.) Well said pal and I defo agree with the quality of Kagawa, and fellaini is a lot better thn what he's getting credit for! I for one wanted fellaini although we have over paid slightly but we got our man. he will stop us getting over ran in the middle of the park all the time and we could possibly start dominating games again. kagawa will defo undo defences with his vision u all wait and see and no body finishes better thn RVP

6.) Kinda hard to calm down after this **** up.We were told that there was no restrictions on our abilty to spend in our pursuit of world class players, hence the reason we were expecting the arrival of these additions. But because of unwilliness to meet other clubs valuations we completely messed up.
DM highlighted our weaknesses weeks ago so why the hell did they just go and get the problem areas sorted. No Woodward had to go make a balls of it, leaving us paying over the odds for Fellani and wanting to pay under the odds for Herrara. Then because of our messing Everton around we couldn't get Baines so we beg around europe for a lb at the eleventh hour and as a result of this we messed up on securing Contreau too.Not good enough for a club of the stature of Man Utd. Club should come out with some sort of a statement to explain (to the people who pay their wages) what went wrong, it's the least that we deserve.

7.) United we Stand,
Are you going to spank Palace like you we're going to thrash the mighty l/pool? You will be lucky not to concead at least 4 by city and by that time you will be minimum 8 points off top spot. Thought you said I would be eating humble pie on Sunday and I would be coming back on here to grovel and say you were right, better team blah blah blah.Noticed you didn't go onto the pool page and say that I was right and you were wrong like you said you would but then again you were going to smash us and probably didn't think you would have to.lol. Only a poor excuse of a human being can't admit they were wrong and that tells me your all mouth and no action mate. You say you trust Moyes but trust him to do what? F/up your stance in English football and everything that SAF work so hard for and built up over the last 2 decades. Your team is on a downward spiral unless Moyes gets the boot. Rabbit in the headlights springs to mind. That is all I'm going to say for now but will keep an eye out for your posts the rest of the season and see if your opinion changes about Moyes as he continues to make your great team( cause it is a great team ) a very poor one. Have a nice season. Lol

8.) JRC08

Do me a favor will you. We will finish above you & you know it. You have a very poor team IMO, we were rubbish against you lot & you still created nothing apart from the goal. A set piece. I can't see us performing like that again all season. The best right back in the league was missing, there was no Kagawa & Rooney were out. Let's judge at the end of the season when we're 20 points clear of you. Enjoy leading for a few weeks because won't last.

Being reported we will make a late bid for Javier Pastore.

United we stand

1.) That would be a some signing and all is forgiven :)

2.) 3 games into the season and you're "livid and mortified". do me a favour!

Fellaini has been given leave from the Belgium squad to finalize his move to United. Talks with Everton are "progressing".

I'm literally praying we have someone creative lined up along with the steely wig. that's all I ask from this window. Sort it out Woodpecker.

Also interesting to hear us linked with Jackson Martinez. Surely for that to happen a striker would have to leave?

I fancy us to smash that scouse lot tomorrow lads. I'm sat in a scouse boozer with lads getting ready for a cracking day. We are Manchester united. 1-3.

United we stand

1.) Don't think you will. Moyes never one at anfield in 10 years with Everton, ok utd a better team but it will be playing on the minds of players as well as manager. Moyes not the right guy for the job. SAF got a lot of decisions right, a hell of a lot but think this one is a big mistake. You may find yourselfs struggling for top 4 this year and you will all hound at Moyes that its his fault. Which it will be of coarse. 2-1 pool the morn and top of the table. :)

2.) We'll see tomorrow. You've had two very uninspiring wins against limited opposition. Your best player is banned & your defense is very dodgy IMO. I can see RVP & Kagawa causing you some problems. Come back after the game & tell me I was wrong. Or more than likely right. & as for top four, we'll either win it or finish second & you know it. Must be hard for you guys knowing you're only chance of silverware is the Micky mouse cup.

3.) Lol Liverpool fans think just because they beat two mid table teams 1-0 (with Stoke it could have easily been 1-1 hadn't Mignolet saved the penalty) they're going to have a good year lol.We may struggle for top 4?When was the last time we didn't qualify for ucl for you to say it and when was the last time we didn't even finish top two, 2004-05 I believe? With signings or not, we're always going to be favourites against you, you don't even stand a chance for top 4, top 3 will most probably be Chelsea, City and us (without order) and Tottenham are massively improved so they will finish 4th at worst.Good luck with fighting it out against Arsenal for Europa League, that's where you belong anyway.

4.) At least we know you will only get worse JRC08

5.) Well we will see what happens at the end of the game and if we loose I will come on here and say that I was wrong and you were right but if you loose go onto the pool site and admit we were the better team. As for Nicholas_United, what a stupid statement in if he didn't save the penalty it would have been 1-1. If De Gea didn't save those shots at Swansea it would have been 4-4. Same thing ye muppet. But he did save it and we won just like your keeper made the saves and you won.

6.) Liverpool have played two games and were probably lucky to come away with the three points in both those games. Granted, they have played some nice football; but without Suarez, they lack a lot of punch.

I fancy us to win tomorrow.

7.) Done deal. Hope you like humble pie son.

8.) 01 Sep 2013 11:25:22
You mean they lack bite.

I too was disappointed fresh! Let's keep the faith though dude. We will be there or there abouts at the end of the season & Fellaini will be awesome for us. 100% confident.

Cracking potential. Great defensively & a good pass success rate. Barcelona have been tracking him & he was earmarked as a potential successor to Iniesta or Fabregas should he have joined us. Great business if we can get this tied up, herrera & Fellaini would give us a great midfield.

I agree I don't want him as an AM but I don't agree with the rest who say we don't want him. The guy is a beast & would be awesome holding & breaking play up. People that don't want him haven't seen him enough. He was a revelation last year & we be better in our system.

Totally agree honey badger. He's potentially awesome from what I've seen but he could be another Kleberson, Anderson, Djemba Djemba etc. Interests dates back to when they dismantled us a fee years back, there's also interest from Barcelona & they very rarely get it wrong, especially in midfield. I say pay the money. Marca reports they won't add VAT because they have plans for the money. Let's test it. Does this mean the Fellaini chase is over?

Agree with Rooney but Nani is far from world class. Over rated with no end product.

Statistics are a horribly bad way to judge a performance. I thought Nani was shocking last night. He caught caught in possession far too much & slowed play down in the final third.

I know I'll get slaggtered for this, I accept it. But for what we need I'd honestly rather have Fellaini. He'll shock people this season.

I hope so. This guy is quality, when he hits form he can be like a new signing. His technical ability is phenomenal, really want to see RVP, Rooney & Kagawa at full tilt. Best top 3 in PL & right up there in europe.

Spot on Chris. That's the type of player we want here. He'll be a success, I'm sure of it.
