I don’t think it has helped that he has had to cover the left centre back position but I have really liked what I have seen over the last few games. If we could buy an experienced ‘left’ centre back who is postionally sound and move Lindelof to the right I think he could be outstanding for us.

cant really argue with any of the above but I believe that a change in tactics would improve our performances. When we press (second half vs Chelsea and during some parts of the game last night) we do look dangerous. The issue is that it takes us going 1 or 2 goals behind before the manager let's the players off the leash.

Juve were the better team but when pressed and put under pressure they did look a bit shaky, the problem is we only do this in patches and it is usually one or two pressing not the whole team. City and Liverpool, with the way they play would dominate that Juve side in my opinion.

Since sir Alex retired the club have spent a significant amount of money, off the top of my head these players all came in from moyes onwards (please ignore spellings) - Pogba lukaku Matic Sanchez miki lindof Dalot Fred Rojo di Maria swiney falanie martial blind Herrera mata. Please don’t get me wrong as I am not a fan of the Glazers but the above list evidences that the club has spent a huge amount on transfers over the last few years. I agree there seems to be no clear stratagey when it comes to ins and outs but I think it’s a bit much to state that the current and past managers needed to beg for money.
I have stated recently that I am pleased with some aspects of what our current managers has achieved and am feeling optimistic about the upcoming season, however I would like to add that in my opinion he is very devisive and his constant need to moan during interviews is getting slightly tiresome. Mourhino is a top class managers, maybe he should be focusing those skills to develop some of the younger talent within the club (martial) instead of requesting the club spend x amount of millions on a 29 year old who is looking or one last big pay day.

To be fair he never had a problem with terry or lampard and i would not describe them as shrinking violets. I agree that his approach is creating a negative environment but I am also one of the few that believe that this year we will see a huge improvement on the style of football that we play. Time will tell.

You do realise that the club is paying said manager a significant salary to give up his life and be away from his family, he didn’t have to take the job if that was going to be an issue for him, but I’m sure a few million in the bank at the end of each season softens the blow.
In my opinion he has done a good job, not great but good. I am confident that being the manager that he is he will turn it around.
Calling fans a disgrace because they have a different view point to you is a bit ott if you ask me. Whilst I respect your view on us being not being miles behind city, I respectfully disagree, we are abosolutly light years behind them in almost all aspects linked to the club (apart from finances generated) . The issue most have is not mourihnos ability to get results it’s tr style in which he goes about it, however at the time of his appointment we were in desperate need of results. I for one think it will improve given time but it does frustrate some what when you see the way city play and what can be achieved in the way they approach a football match.
