Any truth to the rumor we are now bidding on marquinos.

X Files

1.) 22 Jun 2017 21:10:03
Doubt it mate, surely Bailly and Lindelof will be our first choice paring next year.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 21:35:04
Unless we are looking at playing 3 at the back! I think in the next few weeks we are going to buy big. Fabinho, Morata, Perisic and maybe James!

3.) 22 Jun 2017 22:17:58
The James rumours seem to be building up momentum again. What's changed in the last few days?

4.) 23 Jun 2017 00:25:17
The papers have run out of new players to link to us, so have now gone back to james.

Thats what's changed.

5.) 23 Jun 2017 06:23:09
Some media outlets saying the bid for Marquinhos was lodged before we got Lindelof - inferring he was 2nd choice or we did want them both. media. so who knows.

6.) 23 Jun 2017 09:50:42
Not james. I don't understand the hype with him.

7.) 23 Jun 2017 10:05:03
6 goals at a world cup including goal of the tournament matey that's where the hype started.

8.) 23 Jun 2017 10:31:52
and ended.

9.) 23 Jun 2017 11:32:33
Where would we play James?

10.) 23 Jun 2017 12:07:51
XFiles Marqinhos may be lined up to play on the wing. The fans apparently do not see the need for a winger so a defender who can be shifted to the wing may be the way to go.

11.) 23 Jun 2017 13:41:06
Does Lindelof not play full back for Sweden? Maybe Jose is thinking of a back 4 with Lindelof, Bailley, Marquinhos and Fabinho with either of Marquinhos or Fabinho able to push in to midfield if we go to a back 3.

31 Jul 2016 11:31:52
“Next week we can seal the deal, ” he told La Stampa.

Quote from Riola to an italian paper.

X Files

1.) 31 Jul 2016 15:36:07
you would have to think it would all be done and dusted this week.

2.) 31 Jul 2016 17:21:41
Please God let it be done.

3.) 31 Jul 2016 20:43:38
it will happen this week a few will leave and it looks like fabinho will come in he would give us a very tall athletic defence along with a big powerfull first team zlat fellaini pogba shinds martial rashford all big powerfull guys i have not been this excited by a tranfer window as this in ages pogboom will boss the other prem midields like yaya used to. in his prime but even better lol.

4.) 31 Jul 2016 20:44:01
He is due back back to juve on 6th I can't see him going back there to train if he is moving so if not sorted by then it won't be I'd say.

5.) 31 Jul 2016 21:15:37
What a ridiculous statement, ken.

6.) 31 Jul 2016 21:57:38
Why mpez?

7.) 01 Aug 2016 00:59:56
What does a player going back to training have to do with transferring or not? He was always due back on August 6th.

8.) 01 Aug 2016 05:14:21
That is my point, do you seriously think algeri or juve want him there causing distraction if they plan to sell him, do you think he wants to train with juve for a few days if he intends leaving?
its a distraction both parties want to avoid.

9.) 01 Aug 2016 09:31:33
I agree with Ken on that one. If it's to be done at all, you'd expect it to be done before that.

23 Jun 2016 17:17:13
Was on a flight back from Doha with Solgado, who i know well and he goes down there as pundit for BEIN Sports Coverage of some of the games. HE said DDG will go to real after the euros, which was very surprising. also mentioned Morata is not going anywhere and real will keep him.

X Files

1.) 23 Jun 2016 19:44:10
Ballache has just announced on Sly Sports that Madrids interest In De Gea has gone and he himself wants stay here at United and see how things go under Mourinho? Very conflicting. I hope you're best mate Solgados just pulling your leg.

Ballache isn't the best person to believe and doesn't always get it right, but he did call it when De Gea transfer broke down last season, he pointed out Madrids flaws in the transfer and rightfully said they was putting the blame on us when in fact it was them who scuppered the deal.

2.) 23 Jun 2016 20:37:52
Solgado sleeps in Real Madri pajamas. Of course he'd say that.

3.) 23 Jun 2016 20:45:14
Dont know how much ballache should get credit for that CR92.

From what i remember he simply stated that the deadline was 11pm or whatever and that la liga don't give extensions no matter how big the club is.

All he did really was just tell the time lol.

4.) 23 Jun 2016 21:12:55
I remember him stating how the whole saga went (the problems that occured), and after he made it clear that Real was probably the one in the wrong AND no matter what La Liga chiefs (FA equivelent) wouldn't allow Real to get the deal done. All the blame was being pinned on to United from Reals end, Balague came out after everything and stated it WAS probably Madrid who scuppered it and are now trying to cover it up.

5.) 24 Jun 2016 03:37:01
He talks complete non sense balague. He has this season alone claimed we had sanches signed and few others. Makes constant claims and generally makes other statements when pretty much every body also knows tge facts.

He is not a mate but my son is in his academy and teammates with his son. He is actually a celta vigo guy and loves that club.

10 Jun 2016 14:00:20
espy saying we are looking at making a bid for Morata. I don't believe Ibra is coming to United.

X Files

1.) 10 Jun 2016 18:15:01
I thought if it was true the ibra deal would of been done before the euros .

2.) 10 Jun 2016 18:28:38
Well his contract isn't officially over until July 1at as far as I'm aware, and the Swedish manager has said he won't be allowed to leave the squad to come for a medical in Manchester

It's another worst kept secret, it's happening but will be after Sweden are out. Also heard a rumour that he is due a significant bonus when his contract expires, but can't see how signing a pre contract agreement can affect that. Either way it's happening so just relax and hear some more quotes from 'You don't mess with the Zlatan'. Between him and Jose, the press conferences this season will be different!

3.) 10 Jun 2016 18:35:54
He better hope he doesn't get injured .
United better hope an other team doesn't come in for the player .

Risky bit of business imo.

4.) 10 Jun 2016 18:36:44
I also think zlatan is playing the media and will end up in China or somewhere.

I really hope we don't go in for Morata. So bang average every time I've seen him play and his scoring stats are piss poor.

5.) 10 Jun 2016 19:05:11
Ive never seen morata have a good game .

6.) 10 Jun 2016 19:39:38
Don't panic boys Zlatans coming without a doubt just need to be patient.

7.) 10 Jun 2016 19:49:50
Nach i have my fingers crossed he doesnt.

8.) 10 Jun 2016 19:52:25
I'm sure zlatans already had plenty of offers. He's made his mind up where he's going.

9.) 10 Jun 2016 20:16:05
It's all to do with bonus, from PSG, that's why he hasn't signed for any club yet. But I do believe he is going to be a Manchester United player, come July.

10.) 10 Jun 2016 20:22:40
The bonus is correct, it's basically if he "completes" the length of the original psg contract - which expires on the 30th June - he will be entitled to a loyalty payment.
If he signs the United (or any other contract) before the 1st July, he will forfeit the loyalty bonus and "only" get the signing on fee from the new club.
- That's how I understand it anyway.

11.) 10 Jun 2016 20:41:34
Zlatan has a great relationship with psg and there owners .
He has left psg, is with sweden, i'm sure zlatan and psg could come to an agreement if the only issue was some bonus that was due in a couple of week.

12.) 10 Jun 2016 21:24:24
I said a few nights ago the deal is not happening due to the wage and signing bonus. let see. Ex Untied player involved in management said that.

13.) 10 Jun 2016 21:29:21

Morata will have a very good Euro and a very good striker.

14.) 10 Jun 2016 23:54:29
Think it's pretty clear Zlatan is coming after the euros.

15.) 11 Jun 2016 08:36:45
X files i think if we weren't getting Ibrahimovic jose would have already had another striker lined up before he signed a CB considering it was scoring goals was our achilles heel not defending like i can't see money being a problem at all.

16.) 11 Jun 2016 08:47:50
That may be the case but i have never seen him have a good game and have watched him play a good few times .
He seems to be highly rated tho .
Also he hasn't scored many playing for a good juve team in an average league .

17.) 11 Jun 2016 09:58:07
Thanks Ed. I think Embolo will solve our right sided issues nicely although as we know, he can play anywhere up front.

18.) 11 Jun 2016 11:22:30
Eric, embolo is not ready IMO opinion but not ready for that step up. Think Depay last year.

19.) 11 Jun 2016 15:05:14
Depay's problem is a mental one not a skills one as he is more than good enough. Who knows what Embolo's mentality is.

20.) 11 Jun 2016 15:40:40
I'm talking about skill and physicality. Embolo is good but not ready.

01 Jun 2016 07:14:57
Posted a few months ago we would make a bid for Pjanic and Griezeman as our key targets. Story today that we are looking at Pjanic, hope its true he will get 8 goals just from free kicks for us from outside the box:)

X Files

1.) 01 Jun 2016 08:57:24
Wow well done. You're starting to sound like the daily fail.

2.) 01 Jun 2016 09:33:18
lol, let's see.

3.) 01 Jun 2016 09:42:40
As opposed to free kicks in the box!

4.) 01 Jun 2016 11:09:00
Pjanic is likely to go to Chelsea.

5.) 01 Jun 2016 11:10:29
I'd be happy with Pjanic. Closest thing about to Modric who is a player I would love to have here.

6.) 01 Jun 2016 13:16:45
Heard Enrique wants pjanic at barca.

7.) 01 Jun 2016 13:45:04
I heard he spends all his time at the disco. Lol.

8.) 01 Jun 2016 15:08:18
Pjanic at the disco? Good one shappy.

9.) 01 Jun 2016 16:00:40
No Shappy; more likely to be seen on the streets of Carlisle, Dublin, Dundee or Humberside.

. Okay, I'll leave.

10.) 01 Jun 2016 16:24:04
Humberside has no streets. It was abolished in 1996.

Reports that the Morata deal is now on hold because of Ronaldo.

My personal view is what a pain in the ass Ronaldo has become and although a big fan of him, he chose to leave and play his peak years for Madrid. Now if true he is doing a dummy spit for whatever reason and we are getting dragged into it.

I think we will be mad to buy a guy at 32/ 33 for the numbers they are talking who will want a nice juicy 3 or 4 year deal and this is not going forward but going backwards.

I just hope we get Morata in and let Madrid and Ronaldo do whatever they want without us being involved.

X Files

1.) 19 Jun 2017 16:14:14
Ronaldo would score more goals in 2-3 seasons with us than Morata would in 5.

Ignoring the finances (which as fans we really should be doing) - Ronaldo would be a better signing.

Will it happen? Almost definitely not.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 16:47:47
It wouldn't be a better signing if it wipes out the whole of the transfer budget and leaves us exposed in other areas. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

3.) 19 Jun 2017 17:12:52
That's my fear AJH, the Ronaldo deal will never happen in my opinion but if it did surely it would have be at the expense of other players!

4.) 19 Jun 2017 17:20:36
We have been told that he will not be signing and that all this has nothing to do with Manchester United.
So believing all the jackanory stories on line is pointless.
Hoping we get morata done.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 18:21:17
I just want us to get whatever deals jose and Ed had plans for and not get drawn into a summer long ronaldo saga.

12 Jun 2017 10:44:13
question for everyone. Who would you like to see announced as the next deal. Moratta or Fabinhou.

X Files

1.) 12 Jun 2017 10:58:28

2.) 12 Jun 2017 11:01:42

3.) 12 Jun 2017 11:02:43
Can't we have them announced together? No

I'll go Morata then.

4.) 12 Jun 2017 11:04:31
You had two names to spell and you almost got 1 right! My choice would be Fabinhou though :-)

5.) 12 Jun 2017 11:08:00
Hopefully it's Fabinho Morata then Lindelof cz we can all see the acronym lol.

6.) 12 Jun 2017 11:32:39
Fablinimo and Morticia at the same time would be perfect.

7.) 12 Jun 2017 11:33:30
Morrata, Burrata all the same its the intent:)

8.) 12 Jun 2017 11:52:58
We may sign Andre GOMES to partner Morticia.

9.) 12 Jun 2017 12:10:28
Fabinho. Think he is the most important signing we can make.

10.) 12 Jun 2017 13:41:52
I want us to sign Shneyeder next. Him or Guytan would be brilliant. Keep your Fabeenyo and Muratta.

04 May 2017 22:09:27
I think we should sack mourinho. boring game and we won 1-0 and we should have gone all out and beaten them 6-0.

X Files

1.) 04 May 2017 22:12:41
Nah we played well tonight.

2.) 04 May 2017 22:13:08
I think that's reasonable!

3.) 04 May 2017 22:13:46
Lingard is pants apparently, I thought he was excellent tonight. Rashford had a frustrating night but never stopped running, kept his head up, and scored the winner. Blind is nothing more than a squad player but tonight he was very very good. Pogba look clime the player we wanted when we spent a world record fee. Romero is nothing more than a back up but what a save.

I can be as critical as anyone but I am fed up of people Monsignor needlessly. If we win the Europa having won the League Cup then that is a good start for Jose.

4.) 04 May 2017 22:33:30
Monsignor? That should be moaning.

5.) 04 May 2017 22:33:46

Winning is a difficult thing and very few know how to do that on a consistent basis.

6.) 04 May 2017 22:48:09
Shahram, I rh o too many get wrapped up in a specific moment (I sometimes do) when you need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. The Europa will make all the difference to making this a good or bad season.

7.) 04 May 2017 23:05:07
I monsignored needlessly once. Nearly ruined the ambassador's ball. Luckily I had some ferrero roche and that smoothed everything out fine.

8.) 04 May 2017 23:52:28
We were very solid tonight. Rash worked really hard and showed us flashes of brilliance and all the errors you expect at his age.
Pogba was also good tonight and looked strong.
Lots of others put in good solid 7.5 to 8 out of 10 performances.
A win next Thurs will give us a final to win a prestigious trophy that we have never won and that precious champions league place.

9.) 05 May 2017 07:12:56
A decent performance away from home in Europe, some very good individual displays (Pogba shone) a few anonymous ones as well (Miki again in particular) . I expect us to smash them in the second leg, hopefully Jose will realise the league game should not be sacrificed as Vigo are not going to pose much of a threat next week.

{Ed025's Note - big shout that beast, i may have to hold you accountable for that mate.. :)

10.) 05 May 2017 07:31:27
Beast you keep telling us how crap we are how cheap the players are and how cheap the manager is then in the same breath tell us most weeks we should smash everybody. That's a bit of a contradiction or does it just give you a bigger platform to moan on when we don't smash teams. 😂.

11.) 05 May 2017 07:56:02
LIbgard needs to stay behind after a school to work on his finishing - if he gets that part right more consistently he's got a great future with us. Pog was great too. Big shout out to Blind. I know I said time to leave, but he rreally is solid at he back.

12.) 05 May 2017 08:15:45
Ken you have been telling us how average the players are yourself.

{Ed025's Note - i think ken has been very fair jred, there is nothing wrong with telling it how it is and for me thats what he does, blind faith is worse when you cant see that there are still a lot of shortcomings in this united side mate..

13.) 05 May 2017 08:22:40
Yeah Ken but we should be smashing quite a few teams, especially Vigo who would struggle to play in the Premier League. We have played a lot of poor teams in cup matches this season, Europa League has been very kind, we should have racked up some big scores in a lot of those games but failed to do so more often than not, down to negative cagey tactics and poor finishing.

This is probably why it seems I say it a lot, because most weeks we play against teams that we outclass in every department on paper. I like doing the "how many of the opposition would we sign and play" if the answer is 'zero' then we should be whooping them in all honesty.

If we had been a little bit more "ambitious" last night we could have won that 3 or 4-0 quite comfortably putting the game to bed. As it happens I think we will destroy them next week as we outclass them and they looked intimidated at home, us at home should be a breeze.

14.) 05 May 2017 10:25:17
i think you only saw the scoreline Beast and not the game. We had so many chances to put the game to bed. Mkhi couldn't score, Lingard had 3 gilt edge chances that he didn't do anything with. So if you convert those, that's 5-0. What more adventure do you want. It is the players again that have been misfiring.

15.) 05 May 2017 10:37:42
We should have won convincingly of course, but always excuses as to why we didn't Shan. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Yes we fail to take the chances we created just like all season it's a big problem. One solution is to be more clinical which we are struggling with for some reason and I hope is being worked on, another is to create More chances so we increase our odds of scoring - plus you have the bonus of players getting better at finishing the more practice they have in high pressure environments!

It seems like we used up all our luck with LVG when it came to scoring from virtually every chance we created.

I expect us to be a little more willing to commit men forward when the opponents offer very little attacking wise and show more ambition to try and hammer teams that deserve a hammering, nothing wrong with that, we should all want and expect that from our team.

16.) 05 May 2017 12:27:55
Honest opinion I give jred.

17.) 05 May 2017 09:05:13
Under performing players, team and manager pal . At the moment
But I'm sick of hearing how poor our very expensive very well payed squad of full internationals are .

Until we win a game then there ok again, they will all be crap if we draw at the weekend .
We looked ok last night had a good 11 out and only had players like martial, ddg and mata on the bench last night .
Jones shaw zlatan injured .

{Ed025's Note - it was decent last night jred but i would have liked them to go for the jugular while they had them on the rack mate..

18.) 05 May 2017 12:28:48
Thanks ed.

{Ed025's Note - no probs ken, you sat it like it is and i respect that mate..

30 Apr 2017 17:44:41
Missed the game but obviously disappointed with the result. I think we are short of players and legs. I told a friend of mine who supports liverpool that we needed to score 2 goals or would not win.

I see we have a meltdown here. spurs just scored.

X Files

1.) 30 Apr 2017 18:04:46
Turning point was Rooney hitting Martial in the back instead of putting it into a pretty much unguarded net. Incredibly bad luck that was and we would have easily seen it out at 2-0 I reckon. Although it was a worse home performance than the usual 32 chances, 1 goal efforts we've seen this season. I'm relatively cheerful. It's next season I'll be worried if we're still drawing home games.

Luckily our next three are away so easy 9 points to come. :)

19 Mar 2017 17:13:39
watching the city game. Michael Oliver is an incompetent pos. stone cold penalty and red card against liverpool. he did us in at chelsea and looks like he is doing the same at city. someone check his bank account.

X Files

1.) 19 Mar 2017 17:21:52
Actually 2 fouls both red cards imo on the same play. Milner should be off or the earlier foul pulling the city player down from behind. Useless ref and no way he does not see that.

2.) 19 Mar 2017 17:44:11
Unreal that Milner challenge wasn't a pen. You won't get more blatant than that. He's a terrible ref.

Morata was worth a lot more than 25 mil mate even last year and you confuse a buyback clause to market value. He is mobile, really smart with his runs, good finisher and can set up goals and 24 years old. In this market very hard to get strikers like that. hope we get it done early.

Lukaku at 90 is what i don't want us to ever go near. Hope Chelsea buys him as it is a poor mans version of Costa at double the price :)

Strange that people are complaining about signing periodic. We need a right winger as no one plays out there well and lingered IMO is hopeless. He is exactly what we need and hope we sign him. I recommend people watch him before throwing their toys out the pram.

I also hope we sign Morata as he is miles better than Lukaku. Quite excited when you think front line of Morata, Rashford, Martial and Perisic. Hopefully supported by two mobile fullbacks that are good going forward.

I think we still need a right back and CM. Anything else is cherry on top and looking forward to the season.

Have to agree with Ronnie, Danny and others. Madness to be talking about breaking the bank to bring back a 33 year old who chose to leave and spend his peak years at a European rival.

I think 4 years of suffering with an aging squad is enough and we are finally looking like a team that will only get better and better with a young core. To build a great team we need to bring through some of the youth who are good enough and buy the budding stars of the future. That has always been our recipe.

I suspect as usual our name gets dragged in for the purpose of whatever his camp is trying to get out of Madrid.

He has always said he wants to go back to Italy when he leaves PSG and wants to play for Juve. Do a search and he has consistently said that over the last 2 or 3 years. No surerise which means if it happens Juve will be selling a player or 2. My money is on Marchisio if Verrati ends up at Juve.
