Hi all.

I think everyone is fed up of the Vidal Saga at this stage but I really believe this one is in the bag, but may require a bit of patience. Quotes from the player, ex director, the betting odds and some top reporters in Italy, Chile and even the UK all point towards a deal.

I think it would be best to forget about it and we might be pleasanty surprised in the not too distant future :)

Do you think he will be a united player?

{Ed004's Note - I am hopeful so... Yes}

1.) And I find the Evra to Juventus thing a bit weird, there must be something to it. That, or Utd trying to tie Nani into the deal, may be the reason for the delay.

2.) I agree Danny - If Evra had left for Juve and we hadn't signed Vidal I would be concerned. But it makes sense that the deal is on if Evra is still here. I know the two aren't joined at the hip, but it is a good sign.

Hi eds, enjoy reading the site, keep up the good work.

When asked tonight if Conte left over Vidal, ex Juventus Director Luciano Moggi is quoted as saying, "It could be, but with an offer worth €50 million you need to take it and find replacements".

Sounds like Utd have increased their bid and Vidal is on his way to OT. Finally some positive credible news about the deal it seems.

{Ed004's Note - I am hoping that's what happened today. I really want Vidal signed tbh}

1.) I know me too, we can finally have a world class midfield and with that we can be back near the top.

2.) Yes for the first time I believe (not hope) we will get Vidal. I read a long, informative, article yesterday about Conte and he being the reason Juve were not selling. Others have mentioned it but apparently he was assured(before signing a recent 2 year extension) he could keep Vidal and Pogba.

Vidal will transform us in defence midfield and attack. There may indeed be better players in world football, interesting debate, but none who suit our needs like Vidal.

3.) How brilliant does Vidal - Carrick - Herrera sound? With Carrick the next one to be replaced. Dynamic, solid, technically very good.

Its not all doom and gloom guys, the future is bright I'm sure. This week could see Mata arrive and maybe Rooney will sit down and sign a new contract. Both would be a great boost for the club. We also have one of the best young talents in the world who I believe could be a future balon d'or holder, Januzaj.

A front 4 of RVP, Rooney, Mata and Januzaj would gives us the fear factor we have been missing. With this we can make the top 4! And who knows we might get another new arrival before the end of January (hopefully Contraeo, Vidal or Gundogan).

The future's bright, the future's Man utd's!

Everytime it seems like this saga has ended it gets a new lease of life. I really hope he can prove his knee is fine

Since when have a club announced a signing at a press conference? They usually just release a statement and some pics.

Will you please tell us who told you so it at least sounds remotely believable?

{Ed008's Note - He read it on the Internet and claimed it as his own..

There is no room for him in the system Van Gaal plays. Would be very surprised if Utd are in for him at all

You can look at it another way. He was asked, Are you going to Manchester? and said "No, no, no". Then said jokingly "I'm going to Lazio".

Which if he was being sarcastic, implies, "Of course i'm going to Manchester, do you think i'm going to Lazio or something?"

You can look at things many ways. The media twist everything to get readers. Be patient, i'm confident he will come to Utd :)

It turns out no. Surprised with Lingard playing at wing back though

I haven't been following him long enough to know but he seems to be pretty highly regarded. He is adamant with this one and is putting his reputation on the line for it.
