hearing rumours from a friend of mine who supports barca, that moyes is looking at both Tello and Song as 2 potential signings in the summer

rumours/banter from the irish side of the water;

Rooney was for sale but to a foreign side only, both utd and especially rooney are surprised no top euro team came in for him. While chelski is his preferred choice, he was expecting bids from Bayern, psg and real, or at least that's what his agent was saying.
utd could put in a bid for sevilla's kondogbia now that they have signed mbia from qpr.
fellaini isn't/wasn't first choice but is seen as a plan b or c. They have been offered khedira and ozil, but they want modric. no interest at all in khedira.
From what I hear from a few everton fans, there is no way they will sell baines, if fellaini is sold then they will sign McCarthy from wigan.
Gerry Armstrong saying we and arsenal in for di maria.

all above only rumours so don't shoot the messenger, imo the most likely to happen is no one new in with youngsters promoted.

1.) Maybe it shows how his attitude sucked b*lls last year maybe like today he will get with it

I don't know, but what a ridiculous name have picked. Sorry to be blunt but why?

2.) 19 Aug 2015 22:18:54
With a name like that I thought he was a dippers fan.

3.) 19 Aug 2015 22:31:08
Isn't it evident that he is drepressed as we have missed out on the Barca superstar reserve that is Pedro

was reading several of the posts below with regarding the team formation, I think we should play 4-3-1-2.
we are being over-run in midfield in pretty much every game we are playing, our wingers have been poor for at least 18mths, so why not change things up.
ddg-rafael-jones-vidic/evans-anyone but evra at LB
carrick-fellaini-cleverly
januzai
rooney-rvp
one thing I will add is that I don't rate fellaini or cleverly but at the moment they are the best we have. this formation at least will strengthen our midfield and will also make us more attacking imo.
I don't see many signings in January as most players will be cup tied for Europe (altho not sure we will be in Europe after xmas). I would assume baines will be bid for again and maybe a midfielder herrara, but based on the summer transfer window I wouldn't trust moyes with a penny.
I think it will be very difficult to finish top 4 this season, city/Chelsea/arsenal will contest the top 3, with spurs/pool/everton/us and maybe a surprise team soton battling for 4th, big difference is that all these teams invested in new players and have managers that know what there doing.
Sadly I think DM is here too stay but sooner rather than later the yanks will realize their cash cow is drying up especially if we don't make CL, and will be interesting to see how they respond.

1.) Fortunately for the rest of the league but unfortunately for Moyes, he is attempting to lift a very big, very heavy poisoned chalice.

well another "great result", playing absolute caveman football. but at least cardiff, sunderland and norwich lost, so we should stay out of bottom 3 for a while although at least those 3 clubs try to play football.
I have been against moyes from the start and have been interested in most of the comments on here regarding him, ie give him time, he's learning etc. its all crap, lots of new coaches this year at new clubs doing well prime example martinez at everton, playing good football with virtually same set of players as moyes and getting results.
the guy has been found out, no tactical ability at all, once in the lead tries to shut up shop and has no idea what his best team is.
Would suspect that both rooney and RVP will start making some noises about moving pretty soon and I for one don't blame them.
Both arsenal and chelsea have demolished there opponents today but we are unable to beat southampton, who while they play good football are not top quality.
Look at the season so far. lost to average pool team and city and west brom!, drawn with southampton and lucky to beat sunderland and palace (dodgy penalty). I mean this is worst than anyone could have thought of.
I understand people who will say i'm fickle, over-the-top etc but I've been supporting utd since '83 so I remember the barren years, I also remember a liverpool team who dominated the '80's and then went into serious decline due to old players and poor choice of managers and are only beginning to come back now. would hate to see that happen to us.
Moyes has inspector clouseau'd his way from the start, get rid of a winning backroom staff in favour of guys who have won nothing, decide against all summer targets as he didn't pick them, needed to assess his players during the season rather than in pre-season even though he's been aware of these players for years, decide against meeting a get out clause for a donkey and then pay 4mil extra after season has started. these things are not the sign of a competent manager and I hope and pray he'll be sacked by xmas, as not only are we dropping points, the football we are playing is woeful. off to the pub. DISGUSTED. MOYES OUT

depressed red

1.) Problem is that he has made some odd decisions and they've all backfired. His tactics are non existent. His substitutions have been disasters. His backroom staff selections have been ridiculous.
So the question is, do u trust him to go and spend £100m on new players? I don't as the £27m he spent on fellaini have demonstrated how out of depth he is.
I think sometimes, you've got to admit mistakes and correct them sooner than later. Moyes will survive in another club and united will be great again, but the combination of Moyes and United is a mistake and the sooner we correct it the better.

2.) U r absoluty right mate.

3.) 1 question nomid where is this 100m coming from, but agree we need to correct fergies mistake

interesting analysis on UTD after the euro game on irish TV by dietmar hamann, was saying most players (on any team) wouldn't be happy with their manager coming out and saying "i need 5 or 6 world class players to win champs league" and "they won a poor EPL last year" as moyes has done recently. He reckons that moyes has already lost half the dressing room and doesn't see anyway back for him, reckons he's on a hiding to nothing.
Just reckon this is the first person i've heard on TV echoing what a lot of people on this site thinks, ie moyes not good enough and will be eventually sacked.

depressed red

1.) He didn't say "I need 5 or 6 world-class players to win the UCL" he said "if you look at the clubs who win the UCL, they have 5 or 6 world-class players."

People are getting a bit confused with these quotes. He isn't saying the club need to buy an extra 5 or 6 world-class players, he's saying a team needs 5 or 6 world-class players.

I think it's odd that people like Dietmar Hamann cannot tell the difference.

2.) There are several MU players who know they are not world-class. I do not see how it could offend them.

3.) Syd if he said you need 5 or 6 world class players to win the c/l then he's admitting defeat and getting his excuses in because if that's the case were not at the races

4.) Like Sydney said the players know themselves we're not nearly strong enough in europe! Even with Fergie for the past 4-5 seasons we haven't looked that strong, the season we met Barca in the final of the CL we came up against fairly competition until Barca.

Also when has Moyes ever said "they won a poor EPL last year"?

5.) Shock sharham ure not happy lol are u ever?

6.) The objective Liverpool pundit, clearly we should give Moyes the boot. Anyone got the Glazers number?

7.) Ozwald let's not rewrite history. We won the champs league 5 years ago and been in 2 further finals.

We were outplayed though in them.

The squad the manager and the owners is poor.

Terrible yesterday. I think it just adds a lot more to my opinion the DM is just in way over his head. and i'm not just saying this after 1 poor performance, we have not played well at all this season bar the euro game. and his team selections are bizarre.
Ferdinand playing 5 games in a row, when everyone knows he's not up to that, Evra is at fault again for at least 2 goals and Fellaini, our primary transfer target, was also at fault. Sir-miss-a-lot welbeck, young, Valencia, cleverly, smalling just not good enough anymore. We have januzaj and zaha who played great pre-season, not getting any chance (bar 20mins v palace), while young who has been shocking gets 3 starts.
DM needs to realize its not everton he is managing!, he wouldn't start barkley at everton because he was too young and now he's playing great for them under a different manager.
While I know most people will say its not his fault, squad isn't the best etc, but he had 3 months to bring in players and decided against it for various reasons, I think we will really struggle this year and could be in for some panic buys in January in the hope of getting 4th place.
I said during the summer that DM would last 18months. I don't think he will even get that.

Would definitly rather have him than fellaini

Doubtful, they only sign players born, native or living in basque regions. anderson wouldn't qualify

Not Ozil, please, he is not what we need, although I have to say while I think he is a good player, I think he is greatly overrated.
Also would rather see modric or basically anyone but fellaini, and rather have shaw from southampton than baines.
No surprise with Eto'o, always thought that was a non-starter.
with regard to Rooney injury, club should come out and say he is fit and play him, and if its a poor performance or he still claims injury, throw him in the youth team, with a world cup coming up, he will soon change his mind.

All in all, if our transfer dealings were, ozil, baines, fellaini in and rooney out, I wouldn't be shoutinig from the rooftops, but its still better than cleverly, anderson and evra imo.

Hope not, don't rate mata that highly, and don't think he is the sort of player we need, if rooney has to go, tell chelski, 20mill plus ramires and lukaku. and then see how badly mourinho wants him. I know this is completely unrealistic but why not put the pressure back on chelsea, tell rooney this is how highly we value him and this is what chelski will have to pay, and when they say no chance, tell them that's our final offer and if they don't value rooney that highly then stop talking about our player.

50mil are they mad, why are we even going for these players, fellaini looked totally lost playing the passing game at Norwich on Saturday. while baines is better than evra, I don't think he is that good.

Guys, I am just giving my opinion on kagawa. I didn't watch him for dortmund so my knowledge is based on what i've see over last year and this when he has played for us and at the moment I just don't see where this world class ability is.
however I will bow to your greater knowledge and hopefully I will be proved completely wrong and he turns into a great utd player (if moyes decides to play him)

Not sure what game u were watching but last night was another average performance.
evra, rafael, valencia (after 1st 10mins) were poor. giggs was ok but he is 40 so not going to slate him. Carrick doesn't create anything, all passes are back or to the side.
rooney/evans/ddg were good.
kagawa still don't know where the love-in for him comes from on this site. misses 2 easy chances, caught in possession, easily pushed off the ball and gives the ball away. not what I call a world class player.
also real were crap

Have to agree, giggs gave away 2 or 3 free's with lazy tackles, and also was caught in possession several times as was kagawa, but I will say for a 40yr old it was still a good performance.
Kagawa, imo, is highly over-rated on this forum, I just don't see the justification for it. I know he was playing off the left, not his ideal position, but that doesn't excuse his 2 misses towards the end or for him being caught in possession.
sociadad last night were over-awed and quite poor, and still we only defeated them 1-0.
Any half-decent european team would have beaten us easily last night.
also fellaini is a donkey.
