i think it's a reflection on general society, only in the past 100 years or so because of the influx of immigrants from other countries people are being more progressive and more accepting of people different than themselves (whether it has merits or not is not discussed here), so what you essentially have is a group of people who heavily invest their identities in their local football teams because of a) a lack of education (hooligans don't help in this regard) b) zealous tribalism where you're unaccepting of anything that's considered different than what your club may permit, notice how there is a very stern opposition to foreign fans in the premier league despite them being responsible for the revenue etc? it stemmed from that.

i don't think it was the players inexperience that got to them rather it was the naeivity of poechettino not settling to solidify his defence, allegri took advantage of this, made some changes and stretched them out which allowed inter to score those two goals, poechettino should have told his players to tone down the pressure and maintain a sense of solidity imo.

trust me when i tell you this no one actually cares other than just to keep appearances just so they can claim the moral highground over others, answer me this honestly are you actually going to boycott the worldcup when it happens in qatar and are not even going to view it on the televsion, wouldn't you be contributing to the oh so disgusting blood money these people are going to make from abusing human rights?
oh would you rather have the world cup held in the place like the USA where they've been oh so righteous with how they've dealt with foregin influences right?
get over yourself and most importantly you should remember this, if fifa were to pick a country with a unfabled record to host the world cup they'd have to export the whole event to mars.
