I have still not cooled down from yesterday, Chelsea lost yesterday opening up the title race and a Utd win would have closed the gap, City play them on Wednesday and a City win coupled with a Utd win against Chelsea when they play them at home would have made things interesting. That is assuming we somehow upped our game and scoring ability and actually won our games against City, Spurs and Arsenal. European competition has shown that the aforementioned clubs aren't all that but neither are we. The current profligacy our forwards are showing will cost this club big time and it is going to cost us our chances of recruiting the top class replacements' this club needs to be challenging at the top table again.

{Ed025's Note - come on georgie get in the real world, if chelsea dont get another point this season they will still finish above united, the league aspirations for united disappeared in october and there is a slim outside chance that fourth could be up for grabs mate..just say no to drugs.. :)

1.) 02 Apr 2017 12:45:58
Agree with ed here. We haven't been in the title race for months. Chelsea results have no consequence for us now. Unless it's against top 4 rivals, although being realistic I think top 4 is gone too.

2.) 02 Apr 2017 13:36:18
Just say Chelsea do collapse which I highly doubt they will, Chelsea were still excellent in defeat yesterday. Should of scored a bag full. The team you would least expect to put a run together out of the top 6 is us, 6 matches we have won at home all season, that is abysmal, spurs would be the most likely to capitalise on a blip in my opinion, they are very consistent at the moment and really good side.

3.) 02 Apr 2017 14:59:49
Georgie worst post of the year 😂.

4.) 02 Apr 2017 15:17:01
Wouldn't be surprised to see Spurs catch Chelsea.

5.) 03 Apr 2017 09:47:35
Don't be surprised to see Spurs capitulate around this time of the season. They always do. Poch's side have that weakness in them. Or call it that they might just run out of steam again this season just like they did last year.

6.) 03 Apr 2017 12:46:07
Dont see how 5th would stop us signing players. Hasn't so far.

Manchester United doing the impossible and making Newcastle United look like a football team and Jonjo Shelvey world class.

There's been a lot of talk regarding Sanchez but if the talk of him having his heart set on City is true then let him join and struggle for game time. Just so there is no issue on my opinions regarding City they are the Espanyol, the Atletico, the Munich 1860, the Inter.

1.) 13 Jan 2018 11:06:57
I pushed send prematurely, what I wanted to state was that City are the lesser light and if Sanchez wanted to join them he was quite welcome. It cannot be disputed that City are having an amazing season but some of it has included some incredible luck and some very late goals that if Utd had scored the press would have made more an issue about. I do not expect Utd to gain Sanchez signature, if it happens he will have been an incredible capture if it doesn't we move on. I want players at Utd that buy into the rich history of the club and want to ply their trade at the country's most successful and biggest club, I don't want players here that see a city's second club as a better alternative.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 11:37:21
I agree although to dismiss City’s season is a little petty. For me, there are 2 teams in England with very strong histories and that is Liverpool and United. However, that only lasts so long if we stop winning things.

Like it or not, City look like they are here to stay and I suspect they will be more than able to compete for players with us.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 11:59:27
Georgie I think times have changed. City are no longer the noisy neighbours and are no longer at the stage of put down the foundations. They are ready to dominate and build a dynasty and we have to accept whether we like it or not they are here to stay. Now we can go two ways about it. We can moan and stick our head in the sand and be in denial. Or we accept the situation, rise to the challenge and fight tooth and nail to be the top dog again. Forget about history and living in the past because right now city are a more attractive option. We must back the manager and get the players we want in and not fear city. We should revel in this challenge and I for one and excited for the things to come.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 13:11:28
Georgie your post has lost credibility as soon as you started to put down teams such as 1860, Espanyol and even great clubs in their own right in A. Madrid and the great Inter Milan. Really disrespectful and shows your highlights your immature narrow mind set.

5.) 13 Jan 2018 17:30:17
It wasn't my intention to belittle those clubs I'm sure they are great clubs. The point I was trying to raise was that almost every player in the world would opt for the alternative club that they share their city with. I'm old fashioned I guess, I still believe that Utd are a hundred times greater than the club that has won two league titles and a couple of cups despite outspending ever other club in the last ten years. Nothing immature about that joker.

6.) 13 Jan 2018 19:02:16
Maze, I'm not a particularly prolific poster on here, but have been spending a little more time recently. I was just wondering why you regularly have to insult people within your posts. Would it not have been enough to say your comments are disrespectful to a number of great clubs instead of essentially calling people names for no discernable reason.

You are often lambasted on here even when you make valid points but this is due to the bad will you continue to build through unpleasant posts. Disagree by all means, even say that you think someone has spoken 'twaddle but I don't see the necessity for you to be unpleasant. I look forward to your reply Maze.

Well the wheels came off today didn't they? if we are all honest the displays of late have been quite poor. We have improved slightly on the LVG debacle but then again with the money shelled out we should have. The title has already been awarded to City by some posters on here but there is an awful lot of football to be played to enter into that nonsense. What's most disturbing is when it came to aerial battles we seemed to lose the majority of those along with the 50/ 50's on the ground.
Jose has got to start earning his very lucrative contract and desist from seemingly praising the attributes and methods of other clubs.

{Ed025's Note - i thought he was honest to be fair georgie, he commented on their endeavour and desire being more than united,s and they were, once he sends them over the whitewash its up to the players mate, now im not his biggest fan by any means but i cant help agreeing with him on that..

1.) 21 Oct 2017 19:23:59
Fair enough EDo25.
Didn't mind him praising Huddersfield, they were praiseworthy the thing I was alluding to was the PSG fawning he demonstrated recently.

{Ed025's Note - yeah that was out of order georgie, what we have to understand as well is that facing united is a team like huddersfield,s cup final mate, they put their hearts and souls into that performance...and united have to match that week in week out if they are to be contenders..

2.) 21 Oct 2017 19:30:37
In total agreement Ed025.

3.) 21 Oct 2017 20:12:19
We are way short of being competitive enough to win titles here or in Europe. Pogba helps to drive us forward but where else is the drive and passion coming from? And we still need top top creative players.

25 May 2017 08:25:26
The season can now be viewed as one of success, outside of Chelsea no other team has had a better season trophy wise. Looking at some of the players Ajax had at their disposal and seeing how confident they were with the ball you could be forgiven for thinking that you wouldn't have to spend a kings ransom to acquire a couple of players that are going to mature into great players.

My thoughts at this time are with the friends and families of all affected by this mindless act.

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence displayed by our players, the simple things like passing to a player in space seems beyond their logic, they seem more comfortable passing a three yard pass to a colleague that is surrounded by three or four opposition players.

From what I can gather regarding Ronaldo there was pressure from within the dressing room for SAF to have a word. Sir Alex duly obliged and the rest is history. Ronaldo wanted to be the best player in the World and put hours on the training pitch honing his craft, Pogba spends hours having his hair done, he needs to knuckle down and get his act together.

I know SAF has retired but boy after today he would have been fuming and he would have let the media and the players know his feelings. I miss the post match interviews he gave in which after a particular galling display he would promise to do something about the "unacceptable" performance he had just witnessed. Jose might just make some fans happy if instead of praising the poor displays the players are guilty of he takes measures to improve the poor quality we are currently witnessing.

I feel your pain, glad I'm not the only one fed up with the after match interviews repeating the same thing over and over and then proceeding to make the same mistakes again the very next match. Love Man Utd don't like this team.

I read the original post and was astounded by how the poster dismissed some of the greatest sides to have graced the top flight over the years. There is no doubt that City have played some scintillating football over the course of this season but along the way they have enjoyed some tremendous luck ( as have some of the greatest sides) but to declare them te greatest side ever before they have won one piece of silverware is folly of the highest order.

What is at issue though is how the media portrayed Utd's purchase of Sánchez and skewed it to such an extent that it looked like he was going to a club in the lower reaches for a ton of cash rather than one of the biggest clubs in the world. The media had their dirty paws all over the financial package that saw Sanchez come to Utd and factored everything into the deal and came up with some ludicrous figure to show Utd in a bad light and confirm Utd as just a money club, disgusting. Meanwhile over at City Pep goes and flashes the cash and lands Laporte then makes moves on Mahrez and then both he and City get a free pass by this country's press, you couldn't make it up.

I backed up your argument? I did the opposite and showed it up for the nonsense it is. DeGea is a goalkeeper and one of the best in the world if not the best, his job is to stop the opposition scoring and he does this with aplomb. Should Utd employ a lesser goalkeeper just to make the likes of you feel better about the nonsense you peddle?
