I have still not cooled down from yesterday, Chelsea lost yesterday opening up the title race and a Utd win would have closed the gap, City play them on Wednesday and a City win coupled with a Utd win against Chelsea when they play them at home would have made things interesting. That is assuming we somehow upped our game and scoring ability and actually won our games against City, Spurs and Arsenal. European competition has shown that the aforementioned clubs aren't all that but neither are we. The current profligacy our forwards are showing will cost this club big time and it is going to cost us our chances of recruiting the top class replacements' this club needs to be challenging at the top table again.

{Ed025's Note - come on georgie get in the real world, if chelsea dont get another point this season they will still finish above united, the league aspirations for united disappeared in october and there is a slim outside chance that fourth could be up for grabs mate..just say no to drugs.. :)

Agree with ed here. We haven't been in the title race for months. Chelsea results have no consequence for us now. Unless it's against top 4 rivals, although being realistic I think top 4 is gone too.

2.) 02 Apr 2017 13:36:18
Just say Chelsea do collapse which I highly doubt they will, Chelsea were still excellent in defeat yesterday. Should of scored a bag full. The team you would least expect to put a run together out of the top 6 is us, 6 matches we have won at home all season, that is abysmal, spurs would be the most likely to capitalise on a blip in my opinion, they are very consistent at the moment and really good side.

3.) 02 Apr 2017 14:59:49
Georgie worst post of the year 😂.

4.) 02 Apr 2017 15:17:01
Wouldn't be surprised to see Spurs catch Chelsea.

5.) 03 Apr 2017 09:47:35
Don't be surprised to see Spurs capitulate around this time of the season. They always do. Poch's side have that weakness in them. Or call it that they might just run out of steam again this season just like they did last year.

6.) 03 Apr 2017 12:46:07
Dont see how 5th would stop us signing players. Hasn't so far.

Currently watching Villa v Spurs. Spurs are everything Utd aren't, they are easy on the eye. they actually play entertaining football and they try
Utd by comparison are awful to watch. in all my years of watching them and I include the relegation this team are the worst. we've had worse players but those players played to their maximum. this bunch are a disgrace to the shirt. the sooner this season is over the better.

Spurs don’t play any entertaining football. Aston Villa had a lot of chances.

2.) 10 Apr 2022 09:01:22
Villa did have their chances. but both teams played exciting football. something that seems beyond Utd's bunch of chokers.

3.) 10 Apr 2022 13:46:46
Could have been 5-1 to villa on another day, it was a good game but wouldn’t say spurs were as good as you’re making out.

Graeme Souness quite rightly calling out Harry McGuire on his BS regarding today's performance. this team and OGS will not be anywhere near winning anything.

1.) 14 Feb 2021 16:19:07
Under ole we have been a very streaky team. we went on a long run of wins etc to get top but that’s now 10 points from the last 7 games. Never mind winning we could easily bottle top 4 if we aren’t careful. We have Newcastle next then away to Chelsea and city so we really needed the points today🤷‍♂️.

2.) 14 Feb 2021 16:22:31
It was only a month ago we were top of the table with Ole's brigade out in force saying "it's not that bad". 6 games later we're 10 points behind City and looks like we're on one of Oles patented downward spirals.

Genuine question though. How long does Bruno stick it out here? After the Semi Final defeat to City Ole said "we were better in this semi final than we were last year" while Bruno comes out saying it's not good enough. Ole saying we're not in the title race even though we're 2nd and a lot of points to play for?

If your best player is more ambitious than your manager, then we have problems.

3.) 14 Feb 2021 16:31:33
Its an interesting question Mumbles, Bruno arguably is compensating for the team deficiencies. If Madrid or Barcelona start calling, would he want to stick around?

4.) 14 Feb 2021 16:42:19
Bruno, is ambitious. I think this summer during the transfer window will determine whether or not he stays or goes. He wants to win trophies. He is our only top player. The rest aren't at his level. That is the brutal honest truth.

5.) 14 Feb 2021 17:35:07
It's not like Bruno is one of our own either who has a legitimate long term tie to the club. He could easily be tempted if we aren't showing the ambition required of the club we claim to be. He seems to be a smart guy, so he must see what Ole is doing and wonder why he's here.

Losing him would be horrific, it would be a massive embarrassment to show the world that we can't keep hold of our top talent, and without him there isn't much around to tempt other top players.

6.) 14 Feb 2021 17:37:09
I hate sourness, he seems to offer nothing but critism towards us. I know we deserve it at times, but he's a Liverpool man and it shows.

With regards to Bruno I think he will want to win something with us. I'd make him captain and then we might start seeing some changes. He would have the ability to lay into some of them more as captain.

I've now watched the press conference and the reporter that asked the question so that Jose could go on his "heritage and facts" monologue was MUTV's own Mandy Henry. Isn't it great when you can be prepared for a preloaded question from the club's own in house TV station?

georgieworst

1.) 16 Mar 2018 21:04:23
Oh and MUTV now has it on their schedule flicking through the channels, like it's the 'Queen's Speach'. It's so ludicrously transparent.

I have gone from anger, to disdain - this is not the club I fell in love with.

2.) 16 Mar 2018 21:07:08
Yes and he had it all wrote down;reading from a script
I don't buy it.
He is a defensive manager
Not a fit for United.
It isn't my fault it's moyes, lvg.

3.) 16 Mar 2018 22:21:19
The question was what would you say to the fans that are disappointed with the Seville game .

Sorry would of done.

4.) 16 Mar 2018 22:46:22
Absolutely jred that's all it would have took.

5.) 17 Mar 2018 07:56:37
Jose = Born winner 😆😆.

I posted last night before I had chance to watch the game ( I was watching my local non league team play a top of the table clash and very entertaining it was) I have now watched the game and in the cold light of day can honestly say that the scoreline flattered us. Utd last night played the kind of cowardly, pedestrian and downright insipid football that is fast becoming our stock in trade. Jose alluded to coming to Old Trafford with other teams ( Porto and Real Madrid) and had positive results and knocking Utd out of the competition so it was nothing new, wrong Jose! on those nights we were the better team and went out in very contentious and unfortunate circumstances. Here we are again and this loss is being fortunately swept under the carpet under the guise of having a very important match at the weekend and the usual platitudes are being offered by the players and staff after this defeat but do you know something? I'm sick and tired of these excuses, I'm sick and tired of the flat, boring insipid displays, I'm sick and tired of show pony players more interested in their hairstyles than putting in a shift, I'm sick and tired of the gutless displays, I'm sick and tired of the stop start season that we are currently experiencing, I'm sick and tired of this season, I'm sick and tired of Jose. I hope that someone can direct me to this post next season as we are on our way to our 21st league title but I won't hold my breath.

Manchester United doing the impossible and making Newcastle United look like a football team and Jonjo Shelvey world class.

Beast, the majority of those nineteen points were negative results against the poorest teams in the league, get it right against those teams and the gap and the seemingly unbridgeable chasm that some fans allude to doesn't seem that great. City had a great season last year and that is undeniable but the rest of the chasers blew hot and cold and couldn't put a run together to make the league semi interesting.

I just hope some of the cardboard cut outs masquerading as Manchester United footballers are watching the City celebrations and feeling that tad little bit better about themselves. Love Utd, dislike this team.

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence displayed by our players, the simple things like passing to a player in space seems beyond their logic, they seem more comfortable passing a three yard pass to a colleague that is surrounded by three or four opposition players.

From what I can gather regarding Ronaldo there was pressure from within the dressing room for SAF to have a word. Sir Alex duly obliged and the rest is history. Ronaldo wanted to be the best player in the World and put hours on the training pitch honing his craft, Pogba spends hours having his hair done, he needs to knuckle down and get his act together.

The talk is that currently borrowing is set to get even more expensive. if the Glazer's took out one hundred million a year in dividends it would take them 50 years to rake in what apparently is on the table now. they're going to sell. they can't afford to run this club and they can't afford to turn down what's being offered.

I watched City v Southampton. yes City ended up drawing but the workrate they put in was phenomenal. I've not seen Utd do this for a long time.

Some of the criticisms of this squad do ring true they seem a lazy bunch. teams like City, Chelsea and Liverpool have players that rather than remain static when in possession they actually move forward to make themselves available for a pass and when that pass is made it's accurate and in front of them. Utd players have this curious habit of putting passes to their teammates behind them so the player receiving it has to check their momentum to gather the ball. I don't know who's coaching this into them. Utd constantly lose the impetus doing this. it also makes it easier for the opposition to turn over possession.

Back to topic though this squad has got to learn that nothing will be won without a hell of a lot more industry and endeavour.

I've still got my subscription. I don't know why. I hardly watch it nowadays. It's run like Pravda. the phone in shows where you could have an opinion and demonstrate your disapproval have disappeared. I pay more for it than I do for Amazon prime. some of the shows on there are worth watching. MUTV features a lot of matches from years ago when Utd were a good watch. I don't want to watch Utd getting pasted every week. I'm not really bothered about watching them serve up the usual dogs dinner. I'm doing what the board should be doing with Ole and sacking MUTV.

That result has just shown us just how poor we really are. Can someone at the club just show some cojones and sack Ole and his coaching staff?
