Maybe Ole can bring back the 'United Way' of attacking football and the mentally of you score 2 we score 3. Good luck to him and us.

Looks like will keane going to Hull on a permanent transfer. Good luck to the guy hope he does well.

Always wonder what would have happened if it wasn't for the cruciate injury. He scored for fun, and looked a proper prospect before that.

2.) 30 Aug 2016 15:55:08
watched him all through the youth teams he scored for fun just on the edge of 1st team football and cruciate took away nearly 2 years. could of been a star who knows but never the same after the injury good luck will keane.

so supposedly real Madrid may be looking to offload James and is considered. personally think if we could get them then all we would need is a couple of world class cbs and we would definitely be a formidable force again.

m2k32000

1.) 15 Dec 2015 07:08:50
I must say, I actually wouldn't mind that deal? James is a fantastic player, but would they get De Gea involved again?!

If they did, all that would mean is pulling out stops for Butland? I like him a lot and at 22 has the potential to become England's next no. 1?

2.) 15 Dec 2015 07:34:04
No doubt James is a class act but can he play in shackles?

3.) 15 Dec 2015 10:31:12
A pay rise is what the doctor orders for James, no chance he leaving unless his abilities drastically decrease in the next 6 months.

You do realise that sight is dominated by Abu's just like most of the media in this country. Don't believe a word of it.

Mata deal completed, medical passed, £150k pw contract.

m2k32000

1.) Oh no it's not!

2.) You say its completed when every other news channel pretty much the world over, has said the deal is delayed due to the salah deal not being finalised.

Whats your source? a friend of a friends hairdresser spoke to some old dude down the dog and duck?

99% sure Mata will be red by weds, hopefully with Vidal alongside, though the latter is pure hope this transfer window.

The suspense of it all is exciting. Mugs who believe they have inside info stirring up the pot, is just laughable.

3.) It's done, club have officially confirmed it, subject to medical and personal terms

Sly sports reporting that Marcelo may be available, what's people's thoughts on him personally I feel could be a good buy at a reasonable price to compete with Shaw for LB position.

m2k32000

1.) 27 Jan 2019 21:33:57
Personally don’t think the way to solve our defensive issues is to sign a player who has marginal interest in defending.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 21:34:20
If he’s available it’s a no brainer. Shaw has done well to get back in contention but he lacks that bit of quality in the final third for me. His crossing isn’t great and I can’t remember if he’s got an assist. I think he needs to be challenged. Marcelo is up there with the best especially attack wise. Would flourish in this side.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 22:07:36
He will go to Juventus. Makes no sense coming to us unless we require someone who will want a warm climate, dive around a bit and do a few fancy flicks. I will do it for a smidgen of the cost.

4.) 27 Jan 2019 22:08:59
No way jose in my opinion for many reasons:

1.) real madrid will ask for an outrageous fee when they find out we are interested.

2.) marcelo will want ridiculous wages that could be used better elsewhere.

3.) Schweinsteiger, di maria, sanchez and falcao are reasons plenty enough to not go for a player that has been discarded by a top tier club. The motivation wouod not be there.

5.) 27 Jan 2019 23:17:23
Top player on the decline, smacks of a Woodward signing.

6.) 28 Jan 2019 05:33:07
Shaw will keep improving.
He is getting continuous game time after few years.
Moreover, a settled team will help him to get a better understanding with the rest of the team.

7.) 28 Jan 2019 07:20:56
This is true, don't get me wrong I like the fact Shaw is proving a lot of people wrong, but at the same time he needs someone to rotate/ compete with him so he does not get complacent again so I think Marcelo would be a good buy at a decent price for a few years anyway and allows us to concentrate on other areas that need addressing.

8.) 28 Jan 2019 09:59:25
Declining ageing player. Italy is perfect for him. Premier League really not let alone our club. Please no.

9.) 28 Jan 2019 11:55:12
He should be left back. in the changing rooms.

Not good enough for Real Madrid anymore apparently, so if we are aiming at that level then he isn't the kind of player we should be looking at.

Di Maria, Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Sanchez even Zlatan are players we shouldn't have gone after and players we wasted huge amounts of money on in terms of fees and wages, players who have destabilised our wage structure and are causing us problems even now with renewing contracts.

And for what? What vital input did they give our side that couldn't have been done just as well or better by someone younger, hungrier and on lower wages.

Are club has historically always done best with transfers when we sign the young up and coming players, give them the platform and confidence to take their game to the next level. These are the sort of players we should be going for in the future, not 30+ players looking for one final big money pay day.

I see yesterday that Digne may be available for around the 18 mil mark. Surely an upgrade on what we currently have at lb and a cheap solution allowing us to spend elsewhere. thoughts.

m2k32000

1.) 13 Jul 2018 22:13:36
No better than Shaw or Young.

2.) 13 Jul 2018 23:07:20
Yeah but Young is 33 and Shaw is an unprofessional waste of space.

3.) 14 Jul 2018 06:43:48
Young is past his best although he has had a good season. Shaw I was full of hope that he could turn out to be one of the best but he has let us down and all the managers cannot be wrong about his poor attitude. Digne is still a very good lb and at only 24 has plenty of time to improve and in today's market 18 mil is a snip and will allow us to use more funds on other areas such as rb and rw.

Guys last summer I seem to remember us being linked with berradi anybody knows if we have shown any interest this year?

m2k32000

1.) 25 Jun 2017 21:00:47
Listen to the sharkopod.

2.) 26 Jun 2017 11:41:13
I have listened but he was not mentioned in it. Jose mentioned a surprise so was thinking it could be someone like him.

20 Jun 2017 17:49:15
Not sure about you guys but as much as I loved seeing CR7 in our shirt I think for the money being quoted we should be looking at the next generation maybe someone like dembele from Dortmund.

m2k32000

1.) 20 Jun 2017 18:50:23
I agree. I was also not sure what everyone thought so I just read the posts and that pretty much gave me a good idea.

2.) 20 Jun 2017 21:29:05
Alternatively we could look to accomodating the next generation in Rashford and Martial in order to get the best out of these gifted lads.

3.) 20 Jun 2017 23:38:10
That's funny, I didn't even know what I thought about it until I read everybody else's posts and now I think the same as them. Except Maze, obviously.

4.) 21 Jun 2017 10:38:33
Why wouldn't you agree with Maze?

27 Nov 2016 18:26:31
Before you gloom mongers start humpty dumpty Jones looks to of been fixed when not all the King's men couldn't do it.

m2k32000

1.) 27 Nov 2016 18:44:51
Good to see - but it's early days and Winter is Coming, pneumonia or an argument with a door could easily see him out until the summer.

We looked ropey as hell back there as well, so he has a way to go yet for me.

Pickford 30 mil for an upcoming keeper. De gea the best in the world needs to be 100 mil +.

Malcolm, lemar or leon bailey. 3 lefties that play on the right and can cut in, also could go old school and swap wings to throw crosses into the box for lukaku as a plan b if things are not going to well.

I know ed has said TFM will not make it, but to be fair to the lad he has not really been given a chance. Now with our shortages in midfield I reckon he could be an ideal rotation option with Matic with the view of taking over as number 2 choice in a few years if he is successful, and to be honest Matic isn't a bad player to learn the trade from. If it doesn't work our then we can look for a replacement but for now I would give him a chance which allows us to prioritise other positions.

Better idea here: Get bale in this transfer window if it is possible, then sign griezman next summer. We are Manchester United we can afford both over 2 seasons and these are the kind of superstar players we should aim for when available.
