Anyone else taken back by the timing of SAF's resignation? It really is out of the blue. 49 trophies would be enough for anyone but SAF. Somewhere, deep within him, a voice must have urged. one more. then we'll think about it.
Just got to watch his face as a pass goes astray. the fire and passion's still there.
He's probably signed away his right to 'tell all', and I don't suppose we'll ever know the full story. But for once I'd like to know things that don't concern me, because MU is my club.

Just a thought. As a supporter since Sir Matt's time, I'd like to share a nagging doubt.
Question - what is Moyes best known for?

Managing a half decent team over a long period without spending too much money. Is the phrase 'budgetary constraints' raising its ugly head? There has been so little communication between the Club and its supporters that mistrust has grown. And the appointment of David Moyes only baffles.

What does he bring to the table other than dogged competence? A choice between him and Mourinho?

Moyes' only competitive experience in Europe is catching the waiter's eye while on holiday. Hope I'm wrong, but my ambitions for the Club have nosedived.

1.) I do not think many managers could stay at one club for 9 or so years and keep them competitive in and around the top 6 with the restraints Moyes had. He deserves a shot at the big time and if it fails so be it but Mourinho isn't a guarantee either. So if it goes well its a master stroke and if it fails its all the Glazers fault. Stability and longevity is what the club is all about and some seem to forget it will still be our scouts and coaches bar a few he may bring in with him. Fergie is also watching over him so don't worry.

2.) Im an Everton fan and I can tell you Moyes is best known for his uninspiring defensive football. If you have ever watched Everton under moyes you will notice they have no clear identity of how they play, a bit of long ball, a bit of short passing, the odd hoof like I say it's hard to know what their trying to do most of the time.

Why am I getting a similar feeling to the one I got when I first heard we'd signed Ashley Young?

Think you'll find Barca have come in for him.

Getting it that LVG doesn't rate Kroos, so we have no further interest. Don't know why - can only assume LVG has a new target. I think Kroos would have been a good fit. And it seems he was willing to come. Pray we're not seeing a re-run of 2013!!!
