Should De Gea be allowed to join Real this summer?

Yeah, on the condition that Real Madrid pay the asking price.

I don't believe in keeping players against their will, its not good for the team. But we can't allow teams run roughshot over us.

{Ed004's Note - If he wants to go and we are offered a fair price then yeah. Though out of curiosity how many on here would take Ronaldo back?}

2.) 14 Apr 2016 20:28:23
I wouldn't, Ronaldo is like an ex-girlfriend, never go back.

He is still an amazing player, but when you consider his age, transfer fee and wages the deal just doesn't make sense.

The EPL is faster and more physical than La Liga and his injury record is hardly unblemished.

I think we are better off focusing on the players we need, rather than the fantasy of having Ronaldo back.

I think PSG is the best move for him, a weaker league but at a side where he can still challenge for the UCL. If he wins it with them he will have hero status with them as well as us and Real Madrid.

{Ed004's Note - I can see him going to PSG tbh but most likely he will stay put. Only way I can see or want him signed is if we strengthen other areas of the team first. Would allow Martial to play up top but also to drift to left when Ronaldo inevitably cuts inside. Would be by far the best player in the league}

3.) 14 Apr 2016 20:43:15
He would come with the big wages, a massive ego and bring a shedloads of shirt sales again.
He might be on the decline, but I really feel we must nail down a top class signing this summer to compliment our young squad players.
One of Ronaldo, Ibra or even Robben should be signed.
Having a player of such stature, even though him not being in their twilights could be massive for the team and the younger players as a whole and also lift the crowds.
The above 3 mentioned still have what it takes to continue at the top level for 2 years.
Even an out-of-form guarantees 20 goals a season, why would you not take that?
Ibra guarantees 15 goals and far better all round play compared to Rooney and aerial advantage.
And Robben guarantees 20 odd appearances with him single-handedly winning many games.

4.) 14 Apr 2016 20:47:25
Straight swap and I'd take it. As you say, the interplay between him and Martial would be excellent.

5.) 14 Apr 2016 20:42:08
I could certainly understand why he'd want to leave and would not like to see him kept against his will providing we get a fair amount for him.

In response to Ed004 - I'd take Ronaldo back for the right price.

6.) 14 Apr 2016 20:52:41
I would rather keep ddg than sign ronaldo.
Ronaldo will stop at his dream club for another couple of year imo.

7.) 14 Apr 2016 21:04:01
Rohan8
Is that not why we signed bastion?

8.) 14 Apr 2016 21:10:31
We did sign Bastian, but he's had an incredibly terrible record with injuries.
Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic have been better in that sense and generally remain fit for most of the campaigns.
Robben on the other end could also turn out to be a Schweinsteiger but having 2-3 experienced done-it-all players at the club would certainly help the club in the future.
Rooney on the other hand, don't Chinese clubs want him?
I would sell Rooney and buy either of Robben/ Ibra/ Ronaldo/ Mario Gomez.
But we all know that won't happen, Rooney getting sold, and he'll play ahead of Rashford as CF or ahead of Mata as no. 10.

9.) 14 Apr 2016 21:19:22
Rooney will play ahead of mats .
Ibra would play ahead of rashford.

10.) 14 Apr 2016 21:24:04
There are a lot of really good players out there ready to step up or push on .
Robben bastion ibra have all had there time .
Imo if you want to be a top club you build and buy the next ibra not the 34 year old one .
Epl is a tough league ask bastion.

11.) 14 Apr 2016 21:52:49
Ronaldo will struggle in EPL now and we would be stupid to pay the wages and transfer fees. We are better off buying top early to mid twenties talent, keep some of our experienced players and bleed in our youngsters, that is how you get a sustained run at the top.

12.) 14 Apr 2016 22:07:31
Why do you suggest Ronaldo would struggle now? He dominated the league when he was here last and is a better player now than he was then.

The only issue I can see with Ronaldo and Ibra are longevity. They would more than likely be short term fixes - but that's not to say they wouldn't do a job for us for at least 2 years.

13.) 14 Apr 2016 22:31:33
Ronaldo had one great season for united 2 good ones.
In spain he has been 10 times the player.

14.) 15 Apr 2016 07:17:17
Redseven

He roams about freely in the spanish league and it is not physical at all. In the PL there are no such luxuries and I believe he will struggle, it is just my opinion guys.

15.) 15 Apr 2016 12:33:39
X files. I suppose Champions League football means nothing your eyes? The Bundesliga is near enough as physical as the EPL and yet that didn't stop Ronaldo banging in 3 against a decent Wolfsburg side last night.

He wouldn't score as many goals as he does in Spain because as you say, it's a weaker league - but he would still score plenty. In terms of physicality he's one of the fittest sportsmen in the world and is certainly not a pushover.

If players like Aguero can still cut it in England; so can Ronaldo!

As long as we need prooven signing to challange for titles, let's not forget that most of our targets are from different leagues thus why I would prefer player from the premier league and give opportunities to our youngsters instead of the huge packages we are offering our targets
1. Vjri was available for 7m b4 moving to lazio ! y did we not sign him then
2Mcnair is better off than Romas, let's give him the chance or we will lose him and later want him back for 80
3. Y pay high fees on targets whose ages are above 25 ! let's pay such for players like Ayermic

Rumours ! How many players have missed regardless of such rumours , I will only be exicted when a target puts pen to paper like Depay
pals , we don't just need signing but a signing of what we lack in our team is what is important , we better don't sign if such targets are unvailable then why pay such fees 25m for unprooven player where as prooven player are available : De jong(free) , Song(3-5m)
