Should the Hernandez and Wellbeck moves go through, Wilfred Bony will be the replacement, provided the bid is accepted.

raffa

1.) He has a buy out clause so that won't be a problem providing this post ain't rubbish

Rene Mulerstein was a great coach and tactitian working under S A F, however he's becoming rather tiresome with his continuous sniping at the former manager David Moyes and the current manager LV G. This from a man who has had the chance to manage on several occasions and has been nothing short of a disaster. It all smacks of sour grapes and does Rene's reputation no good what so ever.

Same with Mike Phelan too, he can't keep the Utd staffs' names' out of his mouth.

2.) Their input is tiresome and makes them look bitchy for being let go.

3.) 15 Dec 2014 18:05:36
They come across as bitter.
Rene can't keep a job and Phelan can't get one.

Just seen the Bitters crowd last night in the MEN, 37509, what happened to the other 8000? Perhaps there were road works on Stockport Road.😀

Change that to 18000 and its nearer reality. I saw a few online having a go at Rio from their sofas complaining lack of money. But Liverpool would have sold out. Everton too. I think Newcastle and maybe villa would also sell out European nights.

I am aware that you should not judge players on one game, however watching William Cavalho trying to protect his back four last night against Chelsea, I couldn't help thinking that a wheely bin would have been more effective.

raffa

1.) First time i've really watched him play . perhaps this was just a bad day at the office for him but he was truly shocking.

I have often spoken up in defence of Raffael regarding his rashness, putting it down to youthful exuberance and thinking that he will eventually learn to be more composed. The problem is he doesn't learn and I now consider a new right back to be a priority. In the short term I would play Darren Fletcher at right back, a position which he has played several times in the past and a position which comes easy to him.He has the pace and the energy to get up and down the line and with his experience and hight would vastly improve the defending of crosses at the back post.He would also bring experience and leadership to an otherwise youthfol back four.

raffa

1.) Darren Fletcher and pace are you for real??

2.) 23 Sep 2014 09:31:17
What exactly did he do wrong? Get fouled and then get up quickly and get back to his man and not foul him?

3.) You lost me when you used Fletcher and pace in the same sentence.

M E N today reporting that City have signed Fernando from Porto, if this is true, I doubt very much that City would go in for Fabregas, especially with the FFP restrictions.

If your right Sydney perhaps we could loan the £50 million to the Bitters to pay their fine.

Although I think that LVG is still favourite for the job, I get the feeling that other candidates have been interviewed and this is the reason for the delay in naming LVG. With my conspiracy head on could the announcement and press conference be scheduled for next week in order to take the limelight off the bitters winning the League?
This is purely an observation and not from information recieved, don't be surprised if Rene is part of the new back room staff.

Syd, there is nothing to spill, as we all should know there is no such thing as a done deal especially as the window doesn't open till June, however now is the time when many deals are agreed in principal and from what i've been told the Shaw deal is one of them. As for my source, they would be a source no more if I were to divulge their identity. All I will say is i'm neither a journalist or Luke Shaw's next door neighbour, so on that basis there's every chance that my little snippet of information could turn out to be true.

At the present time, I would like to see a middle three of Fellaini, Carrick and Herrera, I feel that these three would complement each other perfectly with Fellainis power, Herrera's work rate and pace around the pitch and Carrick's guile and calmness.

We managed to get rid of Shawcross several years ago, why would we want him back?During that time he hadsnt improved one iota.I know we are all disappointed with our current crop of central defenders, but signing Shawcross sounds like any one will do, when there are several very good players out there who could make a telling improvement to our defence and would cost considerably less thanShawcross.

Red man I agree with everything you said apart from your view on Falcao being substituted and RVP left on.In an ideal situation with height in defence and midfield,Falcao who was having a tremendous game dropping into midfield, holding the ball up and bringing other people into the game and also chasing down defenders would have been the player kept on. However in the situation we found ourselves in ,crosses coming into the box from set plays on a regular basis, I feel that RVPs ability to defend his own box with his extra height was the reason for his reprieve.

I agree with most of the names posters have put forward as young players to look out for, however one player seems to have gone under the radar since ariving at the club, Paddy McNair. When he arrived he was unable to establish himself in the academy side in his favoured midfield position ,primarily due to his size. He then had a growth spurt and due to our lack of centre backs Paddy got his opportunity in that position and has now established himself in the under 21s. He has improve d no end over the last couple of seasons and matured physically and is now a commanding defender who has also retained his skill on the ball and the passing abbillity he possessed as a midfield player.
