Please can any of the eds help is really appreciate. there are reports that Manchester United have agreed terms with Benfica forward Anderson Talisca, is this true? Thank you.

samford001

{Ed025's Note - reports are saying that an agreement has been reached samford but its far from a done deal yet mate..

1.) 21 Jun 2017 09:04:01
Thank you ed025 for quick response. *appreciated.

{Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

2.) 21 Jun 2017 09:40:10
Dont know anything about this lad so went on you tube (I know, we never learn do we? ) one thing you can say the lad can hit a ball with some venom and knows how to take a free kick .

Of course with you tube you don't know whether his success rate is 1 in 4 being on target or one in 44 .

3.) 21 Jun 2017 14:42:56
Apparently Memphis Depay knew how to take freekicks as well.

Heard we are signing Perisic, and have beaten Man city to Fabinho. Their fans are hurting/ complaining they've lost him to us. Would be happy about that. Keane too I think is done which I don't really believe is good enough. And if rumour about Moura is true then our attacking front will be intimidating and deadly. having Perisic on left, Moura on right and maybe Belloti as striker if we can sign him, my!, what a threat. defenders will be dreading.

It will be an exciting summer and I believe in Mourinho, next season we will really challenge in all competition.

samford001

1.) 29 May 2017 11:23:41
So we're signing Moura, Perisic, Belotti, Greizzman is wanted. Where will Martial, Rashford, Mikhitarian play? Come on mate get a grip.

2.) 29 May 2017 11:33:28
Sorry to burst your bubble Sam but not a chance we will sign them 3 attacking players.

3.) 29 May 2017 11:36:04
Stand, it really is silly season already. People are losing their mind about City and it's not even June yet.

4.) 29 May 2017 11:46:20
Perisic would be a good start to our summer business. Our squad needs an out and out winger. However, if he signs I can only see one of Belotti or Griezmann who could be classed as the striker we are looking for even though they are 2 totally different players. Don't need Lucas Moura in my opinion.

2 of Fabinho, Kroos, Brozovic and Matuidi is what we need in order to have a top class midfield. Choosing from Pogba, Herrera, Carrick and 2 of the above gives us good options and different types of central midfielders. The ideal would be Fabinho and Kroos for me.

Our CB search is the one I'm most interested in. I'd love us to sign Van Dijk but Lindelof looks more realistic along with Keane.

5.) 29 May 2017 11:45:27
Wazza,

It's embarrassing, they signed one player so far that nobody on here had heard of 12 months ago and hardly mentioned in wanted lists and suddenly we are a joke, city are going to win the quadruple and we are an embarrassment. It happens every year or every time an opposite team sign someone, Pedro 2 years ago was a prime example, the overreactions are hilarious to me.

6.) 29 May 2017 12:48:37
GDS2 its the same every year. Some fans seem to think they influence what goes on at the club. Jose identified targets in March and with him publicly stating so at the Monaco GP - after the Silva transfer was announced - tells me that Silva is not on that list otherwise why would he bring it up knowing that he's already lost out on a key target.

I find it hilarious how many einsteins are saying Silva is better than Mata as well having only seen him play a couple of times in CL highlights. We're talking about a player who has scored or assisted once in every 180 minutes since coming to the PL despite being played out of position by both us and Chelsea (some context there for the stattos) .

7.) 29 May 2017 13:41:46
Im all for rumours but this hurts my eyes!

8.) 29 May 2017 15:45:24
"attackers win you matches. But defenders win you leagues. " ગોલ્ડન words by SAF. I think in present scenario the way our defence had performed, we need a RB who can take over from VA Lancia after next season, IMMIDIATLY LB as Shaw is mostly injured. A durable Jones type CB, A MF who can set Pogba free and always there for crunch tackles. They are first essential in my eyes.

9.) 29 May 2017 16:05:55
I think Jose will purchase players for defence midfield and attack and some big signings 4 in probably 5 out, I'm guessing, and past the £200 million Mark maybe £300 if we sell and recoup some large transfers.

{Ed004's Note - I reckon it'll be 5/6 in and it'll exceed 200 million as well}

10.) 29 May 2017 17:32:18
Op maybe a bit ott in regards to attacking players signing. But not seen anyone having a meltdown over city in this thread.

11.) 29 May 2017 18:35:03
I'm amazed how underrated Mata is. His goals and assists playing out of position for us are superb. If he was 21, and played elsewhere we'd all be gushing over him. Here another stat. Martial is 10 days older than Harrop who made his debut last last week. Give Tony a break - he is going to be awesome.

12.) 29 May 2017 19:07:45
This amount of good attackers in this post is not unviable as lots are suggesting, If Rooney and Zlatan leave that's 2 advanced players need replacing maybe another attacker is surplus as well we don't know, what is certain there will be changes and there will be huge sums of money spent were in the highest earning league with huge shirt and sponsor ship deals in place.

13.) 30 May 2017 10:26:20
I think Zlatan will be missed and need to be replaced but Rooney for all his great years previous will not be missed on the pitch and could be replaced by squad purchase or youth step up such is his decline/ mourinho phasing him out.
As an ambassador/ club captain that's a different story. His profile is still big in that sense.

Don't lose hope guys, I hear United may pull off a deal before deadline. a midfielder. Late bid has been tabled.

samford001

1.) With all due respect, have u called anything correct yet?.

2.) You aren't reading that bullsh!t Twitter page again are you Samford?

According to him we have placed about ten bids today alone.

3.) Stop it, stop it now :-)

4.) The bid will be accepted, but the paperwork won't be handed in on time ;).

5.) Haha, I admire your tenacity mate! :-)

6.) More like a table has been built late

7.) When david moyes says no more signings this window, what part of that don't you quite get? we've got mata and that's it, let's just be gratefull we got a genuine world class player this window and stop clinging on to bullxxxx rumours started by tabloids and twitter fools.

8.) With all due respect, it's a rumours site. Rumours always have a spark, whether true or not, you get what you sign up for on this page & this post emphasises what the page is about.

I understand that there is high level meetings
taking place tonight between Manchester
United & Newcastle officials regarding
Yohan Cabaye. positive result is what we should expect. He's ok for now until we get some more big names coming in for our midfield in summer.

samford001

1.) 27 Jan 2014 21:15:37
PSG are in Newcastle to thrash out deal. But would be good buy.

2.) He's good and an improvement, but we should be looking for better. I wouldn't want him signed up on a 4 or 5 year contract when we're looking at the likes of Vidal and Gundogan for the summer.

3.) I am not sure about him, age, ability, cost. Think I would rather save the money on someone we really want and make do with what we have got if we can't get them until summer.

4.) PSG have come back with improved bid and we need to match them. but let's hope player will push for Manchester United move.

5.) Sorry buddies, info just received has it that Newcastle have agreed a
deal to sell Yohan Cabaye to PSG.

6.) They just suspended betting on Cabaye on so I guess we will find out for sure soon enough - Ed's any idea which way its gone?

{Ed004's Note - PSG}

7.) Info being ssn?

8.) MU are not trying to sign Cabaye. Never was.

You should stop listening to fake Twitter accounts.

Got info that tonight is going to be very important for Manchester United regarding
transfer talks, watch out. Juan Mata didn't train today with Chelsea. Dante will join Manchester united this January or least Summer. There's going to be a couple signing before transfer window closes

Please can any of the eds comment on Fabinho and Bakayoko, I know you may say It's not important but I'd really appreciate your candid opinion on them. Who do you think is better and would fit Manchester United like a glove. There are so many divided opinions but I'd be happy if we could pull off Fabinho deal. What do you think eds as I've heard we have tabled €50 million? Thanks.

samford001

{Ed004's Note - I think Fabinho is far more suited to what we currently need. Bakayoko reminds me a lot of Pogba but with half the potential. He's a very a good player but will never be world class. I don't think Fabinho will be world class either but you don't need your holding midfielder to be world class. Madrid get away with Casemiro in midfield. Another point to make is Fabinho is an excellent penalty kick taker something we will lack with Ibrahimovic going - although don't think that matters as we don't seem to get them in the league anyways.}

1.) 24 Jun 2017 10:51:06
In your own opinion ed004 which type of player would you compare fabinho to and do you see us going all out to get him?

{Ed004's Note - I reckon he is a very similar player to Matic with the ability to be a better player.}

2.) 24 Jun 2017 14:26:02
Thanks Ed: which DCM would you consider world class out of interest? Kante? Busquets?

{Ed004's Note - I think there is a real lack of world class ones in the world right now. There are plenty around such as Carvalho, Danilo (Porto?), Casemiro, Busquets etc but none of them are world class. I think I'm in the minority, but I think Kante is very overrated. He's excellent at what he does but he is very limited. He's not a holding midfield though, he's a box to box midfielder}

3.) 24 Jun 2017 17:26:43
Thanks for opinion Ed.

4.) 24 Jun 2017 18:52:15
Casemiro is as dirty as they come. If he played for any other club in any other league he would have 6 or 7 reds a year.

5.) 24 Jun 2017 21:38:01
busquets is or was world class. Massively disagree with regards to Kanta. Top class midfielder imo. He's limited on the ball, but the work he does off it is phenomenal. His engine too. Top cm who i'd love to have at united.

6.) 24 Jun 2017 22:40:30
Busquets is world class, regardless of all his bull rubbish antics. He sits in front of the back 4 and allows the likes of Iniesta and Xavi play football. Without his input, the great Barcelona team of recent years would not have been the same.
Still a tosser though.

7.) 25 Jun 2017 02:48:08
Got to say i love casemiro. Thought he with modric were MOM in champs league final. Yeah he's a bit dirty. But think he's made for premier league. It is also hard to say that a dm is world class. What is world class anymore anyway. there's ronaldo and messi then there's different levels of players that are suited to different systems where one supposed "world class" player for one team turns out to be nothing but, for another team. (Di maria) . World class i believe is based on consistency at a top level. Of which you can probably count on one hand the players that meet this level.

Ronaldo
Messi
Suarez
Neymar
De gea
Neuer

Alright maybe two hands. Just.

I coach at a pretty decent level. i'm not saying i'm pep or jose but i'd take attitude over talent any day. (Of course talent is important) but my point is you don't need a team of world class players to have a world class team.

I see everyday that united get frustrated at signings and saying he isn't good enough or he isn't a united player. And this sort of opinion frustrates me i understand the desire for big names and how excited it makes everybody. But team balance and harmony within the group. Player personality has to count for alot.

This started as me questioning what is world class and my liking for casemiro and it turned into something else. For that i apologise. As you were.

8.) 25 Jun 2017 09:30:31
Busquets is definitely World Class. A top class c**t but also a top class player, couldn't agree with 2toms more.

09 Apr 2014 22:36:30
Who doesn't agree with me that we need world class players? we tried but we weren't good enough. Rooney's indecision in first half was unprofessional and cost us partly. They conceded too quickly, unbelievable! Carrick and Fletcher not good at european level, they were not imposing and courageous. Evra sometimes went missing at his position giving Robben freedom to dance anyhow, and I didn't like the way Jones brought Ribbery inside often in the second half, in fact that led to the first goal.
They really tried in the first half and first few minutes in the second half. There's hope if we can lure two quality midfielders, left back/ right back. With such a performance tonight if we had two good/creative midfielders to detect and control game we would have won.

samford001

1.) So are you saying with a different we would of won tonight? Do agree with your observations though still not sure Moyes is the man for the job

24 Jan 2014 07:16:20
Juan Mata would be a very good signing but buddies what happens if Chelsea pulls the plug on Juan M deal with Manchester United in last minutes? I'm not trusting Jose M. You know when we went in for Juan, rumour has it that he brought up Rooney issue again and we rejected, I think he was hoping to come back for Rooney in Summer and now after he had sanctioned Juan's deal and noticed we immediately want/ try to tie down Rooney he may feel we want to be wise ie, he's good enough to want to give us Juan and we aren't not magnanimous to let Rooney go/let him have him.
Remember what he did to Arsenal last minute with regards to Demba Ba, the man is sometimes heartless, can change his mind anytime.
I don't know I'm just having a weird feeling. what do you think guys? Juan M would be a great signing, I mean he's so creative/ great and would make us a force, restore that fear factor.
Your opinions?

samford001

1.) Think you need to calm down, mata will be a united player by this evening.

2.) Think u need to calm down

3.) Dont worry mate it is hardly last minute as there is still a week of the window left, plus I think this is as much to do with Roman as it is Jose seems that Chelsea are trying to get there house in order due to FFP so fair play to em it works for all parties involved and Juan Mata will be a United player today.

4.) I do not understand how it isn't last minute, didn't all the Everton fans tell us that Moyes only buys players last minute and we are stuck with a manager who will not buy attacking players?

Rumour that nited boss plans to bring in new scouts
after missing out on several targets during
first summer in charge at Old Trafford, he is now
ready to make a massive shake-up of his
scouting system - after being stung by
criticism. He wants to bring in his old scouts he trust very well who don't only scout but also know about players fees and availability that would help in some way.

I wonder if that's a good idea because he contributed to the shambolic/dissapointing transfer dealing as well. He could've signed Thiago when he was available who's father later confessed deal was close but doubted him, no way he could've signed Fabregas yet he wasted a whole month pursuing him. Man City and Tott used a month to sign 3 to 4 players each while we were scatter gunning aimlesly. Ozil was offered to Manchester United and Man City and he declined thinking he wasn't worth it and in die minute he went for him when it was late. I think he didn't have real targets and contingency plans on place, was confused and not focused.

What do you think? Is it wise for him to change scouting system that have been success over years under Sir Alex and Davif Gill?

samford001

1.) Has it really been that successful? Look at our team, look how long we have had average players in several positions e.g midfield/ wings etc. Yes there may be other internal maters that have influenced our targets but our current scouts our partly they've blame, yeah maybe their top recommendations ain't getting brought but they should be good enough to spot younger cheaper.

On the flip side if moyes does bring in his own x everton scouts would they be aNy better than want we got.

Food for thought.

Reports that Marouane Fellaini sacrificed his £4m loyalty bonus in order to force through his transfer
from #EFC to #MUFC. the incompetent transfer business by Ed Woodward has cost the guy that; and people don't really appreciate his joining us because imbecile Woodward caused all that.

I want to thank him for joining MUFC and to be frank he's a good player, and better than Yaya Toure and Wilsher according to stats and results on individual performance.

1. He scored 11 goals last season compared to Toure's 6 and Wilsher 0
2. Assist 6, Toure 6, Wilsher 6
3. Defensive error 0, Toure 2, Wilsher 2
4. He tackles/marks more than rest
5. Aerially he is king
6. Chances created 55, Toure 45, Wilsher47

I think the guy would add steel in DM with Carrick while Kagawa would give creativity in AM if used well by Moyes, don't forget we also have Rooney.

If we had signed him earlier and he played against Chelsea & Liverpool maybe we would have done better. Like Moyes said, I think he is someone you don't want to play against in a very good team. With Fellaini now we can curb the bully and marauding of likes of Yaya Toure, Dembele etc. Guys he's okay.

At least I thank him for his love/heart for MUFC which motivated him to push through the move unlike other players who rejected us so please let some fans give him a chance.

samford001

1.) Okay! Not better than Yaya Toure mate! He joined our team and I'll support him 100% but you are a bit excited. Calm down

2.) Nick86, the stats speak for themselves mate

I guess it's the blue side. Mourinho when asked was not confident but was hopeful though. Just hope we don't miss out on him because we will regret. Guy is skillful and creative like iniesta, and good thing is he's just 22. Doesn't lose ball easily. If you watched him against Man City, my! The way he ran riot making them players look so average including yaya who always want to dominate and bully, man, the boy is great. And I know Guardiola will not lose him because he's a barca/ Guardiola esque player. He's a weapon against any team especially if he's surrounded by quality players and a big club. I'd be crushed if we should lose him to city. We need such in our team to add flair. What an exciting player he is.
