ED002,

A few reports out there stating that Pogba has had a change of heart and would like to stay. Have you heard anything to that affect? I know you've long stated he was still interested in leaving.

Thanks.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - It would be one report being repeated. I have no idea I am afarid.}

1.) 14 Mar 2019 10:23:22
I would very much imagine whether Pogba stays or goes will depend on what options are available to him.

His dream is to play in Spain, so if either Barcelona or Real Madrid come in for him I would expect him to push to leave.

Beyond those two its really only PSG or Juventus who could come in for him. How he feels about moving to them I very much expect will come down to money/ prestige.

2.) 14 Mar 2019 16:24:55
Thanks ED002.

3.) 15 Mar 2019 10:46:08
Would Barcelona be interested with de jong joining and the need to replace pique and Suarez in the next few seasons? I imagine Madrid now zidanes back is the main contender.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona want to make significant changes but need to top up funds (significantly) by selling. Juventus remain very keen on Pogba but will look to an option thay have as an alternative. The change of coach will make little difference to their interest.}

Aloha Ed002. Has there been any additions to the list that the club are looking to bring in since the Sharkapod? I ask because perhaps Ole has had more time with the team and can better opine on the matter now.

Thanks for all of your info you provide.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - Bergwijn has again been looked at but there has not been any approach or offer and there is plenty of interest from elsewhere. Unless AM were to leave it is hard to see him getting much game time, but interest in Perisic did not leave with JM so there are thoughts about making a change still. I suspect the club will wait until the summer before doing anything significabt.}

1.) 23 Jan 2019 12:32:33
I really hope we don't pursue Perisic. He will be 30 years next year and operates more towards the left.
May be Bale for 3 years?
He would instantly solve RW problem and Chong/ Gomez/ Greenwood to eventually replace him.

2.) 23 Jan 2019 17:26:14
Thanks as always Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

3.) 24 Jan 2019 01:59:48
Perisic would surely be a hypocritical move by the club, having denied Mourinho the very same player.

Good Morning Ed002, with Lukaku stating this morning that he knows where he will be playing next season, do you ave any insight as to where that will be now that his mind is made up?

Appreciate all that you do.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - There is no financial agreement with any other side that I am aware of.}

1.) 06 Jun 2017 18:31:37
Just been told that everton have agreed to sell Lukaku back to Chelsea. I don't know the full details other than that he has agreed to the move and it will be announced shortly. This comes from someone at the club.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 18:46:56
Phew🤣 good player but i think a different striker would suit our club and team better.

3.) 06 Jun 2017 20:12:27
He is perfectly suited to the premier league and with better players will be good in Europe plus he will enable the other attacking team members to get more space I wish he was coming to us.

Ed002

With all of this money being spent is it still likely that Utd will bring in another midfield option?

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - Not now.}

ED002,

I know the subject of money is not your favorite thing to talk about, however I have a quick question. Should United pay off Sanchez to move him on, does that pay off still factor into the wages in regard to FFP?

Basically, though not paying him weekly anymore, United would still be in essence "paying his wages" by fulfilling his monetary terms of his contract.

Thanks as always.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - If the club continue to pay his wages after he left it would count toward FFP.}

1.) 26 Mar 2019 21:50:44
This maybe stupid, but if Sanchez has 3 years left which adds up to say 50 million wages (random numbers here) could we not just sell him for that amount and use the money to pay him off?

2.) 26 Mar 2019 22:27:40
Who’s going to pay £50m for a 30 year old player who hasn’t been in any form for the last 18months.

3.) 27 Mar 2019 07:47:02
Man United!

4.) 27 Mar 2019 09:49:24
China would, I am not saying he will earn 50 million just used a random number.

5.) 27 Mar 2019 10:44:41
He prefers living in Wilmslow!

6.) 27 Mar 2019 12:41:07
Are even the Chinese that daft?

7.) 27 Mar 2019 14:17:55
They bought fellaini so there is hope mort.

8.) 27 Mar 2019 14:56:02
Maybe but Fellaini did at least have his uses and did chip in with an end product. What's the Chilean Elton John achieved?

One thing I really love about Ole is just how ready his is to defend the badge at all costs.

When asked by a reporter yesterday if this was "old school United" the cutting of his eyes was apparent. He responded with "No! This is Man It'd, not old school . we always do this, it's what Manchester United does".

Made me have goosebumps.

ussoldier77

1.) 07 Mar 2019 17:55:27
Hes so positive and breath of fresh air. Would love for him to get the job.

2.) 07 Mar 2019 18:14:13
That is a great quote to dwell upon. Ole makes a real effort to get his players to believe in what playing for Manchester United is all about. Not back then, not now. But if you play for this club, this is what it stands for, this is our mentality.

3.) 07 Mar 2019 18:56:24
We are Manchester United, Ole gets that and is part of the fabric of the club. That on its own does not make him qualified to be the Manager (there are plenty of others) but he hasn’t put a foot wrong. Every comment he makes just reinforces he is part of this club and ‘gets it’. With every passing week my estimation of him rises even further.

02 Mar 2019 12:43:01
I normally do not comment on money and such as I agree with Ed002, it confuses people me included.

Saying that, if reports are true that Brendon Rodgers is getting £200 to spend, surely United should be able to spend similar? As Ports said below, that is realistically what we will need to spend to address our needs, not to mention prices go up when it's United who are calling.

I just hope we spend wisely and on need. there are some solid players in the Prem who could come cheaper than those on TV ads (Nieves from Wolves strikes me as one) .

ussoldier77

1.) 02 Mar 2019 14:00:26
I don't see neves as a cheap option at all. Wolves owners have invested heavily into the club and are in no need to sell the player. The deal would be very costly for club.

2.) 02 Mar 2019 14:38:01
Neves is reportably a £100m option if that is considered cheap these days. He's a top player. No doubt another club will get him for a lot less than that. But Man Utd always have there pants pulled down on purchases prices.

3.) 02 Mar 2019 14:45:53
£200 isn't going to go far the way the market is now. Might be able to resign Valencia for that though 😀.

4.) 02 Mar 2019 14:16:08
I can guarantee that United have more that £200 to spend. Pogba’s monthly hair dye bill is higher than that.

07 Jan 2019 21:54:50
Well, Arsenal it is in the 4th round.

07 Jan 2019 21:40:37
The Scouse bottled it tonight. I know they played a rotated side, however after suffering your first defeat you'd have thought Klopp would have tried to erase it with a win.

Losing two on the trot will certainly add a bit more pressure.

ussoldier77

{Ed0333's Note - yes Liverpool completely bottled it tonight like all you’re prima-donna players under van Gaal, Moyes and Jose.

1.) 07 Jan 2019 21:46:08
Can't disagree with you Ed, you're right some players have let the badge down. However, tonight was Liverpool's turn and I think Klopp made a mistake by not going for it.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 22:18:28
I think it shows what happens if you make a lot of changes, players are desperate to play and impress but don’t take their chance. We got away with it on Saturday, tonight Liverpool faced tougher oposition and didn’t.

3.) 07 Jan 2019 23:27:54
A draw would've been a better result. The replay adds another game, more pressure an klippity could've led his players in celebration.

4.) 08 Jan 2019 10:45:32
Not often the Ed’s have a little nibble, well played ussoldier, gave me a good laugh that one.

Hey gents, if this ever happens again, I’d be happy to simultaneously set one up on the other side of the pond for max effect. I am an American currently living in Hawaii and I am certain that I could pull something together to double our efforts.

Let me know if something like that would interest you all.

Spot on Ken! Herrera is such an integral part of the team, we would be foolish not to get his signature on a contract ASAP.

Lindelof and Smalling both played well, and I believe Mata was in his correct position tonight.

Happy Days and well done to the lads.

Spot on. While I like Shaw, he is extremely one-footed as is Valencia.
