Good Morning Ed002, with Lukaku stating this morning that he knows where he will be playing next season, do you ave any insight as to where that will be now that his mind is made up?

Appreciate all that you do.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - There is no financial agreement with any other side that I am aware of.}

1.) 06 Jun 2017 18:31:37
Just been told that everton have agreed to sell Lukaku back to Chelsea. I don't know the full details other than that he has agreed to the move and it will be announced shortly. This comes from someone at the club.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 18:46:56
Phew🤣 good player but i think a different striker would suit our club and team better.

3.) 06 Jun 2017 20:12:27
He is perfectly suited to the premier league and with better players will be good in Europe plus he will enable the other attacking team members to get more space I wish he was coming to us.

Ed002

With all of this money being spent is it still likely that Utd will bring in another midfield option?

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - Not now.}

First let me preface, I am not a Mourinho out guy. Its hard for me to call for the sack when he hasn't been fully backed by the board.

Saying that, we hear everyone kicking names around such as ZZ, Jardim, Poch but what about Marco Silva? I think he is a very good manager and I thouroughly enjoyed watching his Watford sides when I lived there.

ussoldier77

{Ed002's Note - Journeyman.}

1.) 02 Dec 2018 18:14:58
Like Marco silva but he’s not ready. Poch, jardim, zidane in that order. Allegri would be ideal but I guess he’s been burnt once.

2.) 02 Dec 2018 18:39:24
Thoughts on Tuchel?

3.) 02 Dec 2018 18:58:25
Fan of tuchel becks. But remember Ed001 saying he has a combustible personality and a bit of an ego. Will probably get the sack if he doesn’t win the champions league. Would say yes to him. Emery moved to arsenal with his stock fairly low after a stint at PSG and look at what he has done there.

4.) 02 Dec 2018 20:52:42
Eddie Howe anyone?

5.) 02 Dec 2018 21:47:36
Keep Jose - sack Woodward.

6.) 02 Dec 2018 23:07:05
I honestly don't get the Eddie howe bandwagon. Am I missing something?

In regards to the Burnley match, some say that “lesser teams” put 3-4 goals past them while we only managed 2. I think that is a bit misleading as Burnley did not sit in that low block against Watford or Fulham, which is harder than it looks to break down. Factor that with United should have put 4-5 past them anyway and I would say it was a very professional performance.

People can say what they want about Rooney, but he simply pulled pure magic out this weekend and his effort to fight until the end is something rarely seen in football anymore. Well done WR10.

ussoldier77

1.) 13 Aug 2018 12:25:25
Had a little smile when I saw that. Brilliant from Rooney.

2.) 13 Aug 2018 13:31:28
If he was fighting until the end he wouldn't be playing in mls at 31.
Great play all the same.

3.) 13 Aug 2018 15:03:25
Ah Ken can you not just be happy for him 😝

It was fantastic what he did. No matter what league he is playing in.

4.) 13 Aug 2018 16:56:48
Angel it was great play like i said but he is too good for that league imo.

5.) 13 Aug 2018 21:48:30
Epitomised what Rooney was to Utd throughout his career. Always tracked back sometimes as last person, worked for the team. However we Also needed him to be gready and be the one on the end of the cross and he could not be both.
Great player but definitely the right league to prolong his career for a number of years.

One thing Jose has always done very well is deflect the media attention away from his players and onto himself. I'm not sure i. I'm wondering if all of this panic in the media is yet another Jose masterclass of taking the pressure off of the team.

ussoldier77

1.) 08 Aug 2018 20:54:23
So when he critisizes shaw, martial, Pogba, Lukaku, Bailly in public, time after time, is this deflecting from the players?

02 Aug 2018 20:09:41
Per Herrera's interview on the club website, this is exactly why I've always respected the guy. Plays for the team, 100% committed and understands that it is an honor to wear the badge (and captain's band) . Furthermore, I watched the game vs Liverpool with a mate of mine who is a scouser and he said he hated Herrera more than any other United player; more of a reason to love him.

ussoldier77

1.) 03 Aug 2018 00:34:38
Herrera is a great pro. His kind of professionalism is not even the norm anymore, at least not at the big clubs, with these stars who only give their all when everything is just right for them. It just comes down to character. If Herrera got transferred tomorrow, he would give his all for his new club. Too many of these modern players will only give 100% if they are in their favorite position, if they are a starter, if the coach praises them, if their salary is good, and so on.

Hey gents, if this ever happens again, I’d be happy to simultaneously set one up on the other side of the pond for max effect. I am an American currently living in Hawaii and I am certain that I could pull something together to double our efforts.

Let me know if something like that would interest you all.

I can't see Chelsea splashing the cash when there is an unknown with the manager. Probably going public to satisfy fans that they tried.

I am with Timbobon this. While I’m not the biggest Jose cheerleader in the world, you cannot allow player power cancer to set foot within the club. Personally I don’t believe Jose is even in the majority of the fault with these performances of late as he isn’t kicking a ball on the pitch.

1. The midfield is too slow in transition, Matic should be dropped and go with Fred and Andreas.

2. The board failed Jose in the summer, I’m not against him proving a point.

3. I’m sorry, but Pogba is over-hyped. Did he have a good WC? Yes, but that team around him allowed him to focus on one thing and that’s it. The world beaters should be able to have a rounded out game about them, especially those in the midfield.

4. We cannot let the inmates run the asylum, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that if we sack Jose, it will all happen again in a couple of years.

{Ed025's Note - maybe you and tim could start a fan club USS, your members could all meet in a phone box.. :)

I think at this point you have to hold on to him simply to not set a precedence. If United sold him now it would set a standard that one could throw their toys out of the pram and get their way.

The comments were very unprofessional, especially after being given the captaincy and the bright comments from Jose. I also fully believe Raiola is part of the problem. Paul’s departure is inevitable, however as I said above it must not be this summer.

Agree with you 100% that KDB was shocking. I felt they were missing Munier as their buikd up and attack seemed so slow. Dembele was a donkey too, don't see why some are in love with him.
