Ed002,

Are Utd interested in matty longstaff?

Thanks.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - As far as I know the interest went with Matic signing a new contract and his current behaviour will not impress other clubs.}

04 Jul 2020 11:44:03
Thanks ED002.

Duncan Castles reporting that we've agreed personal terms with Sancho. Never trusted him, take it this is fake news ed?

Believable1 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - I would assume via his agent if that is the case. Manchester United would still need to agree his agent's fee and to agree a transfer fee with Boussia Dortmund.}

03 Jul 2020 19:41:32
Thanks Ed.

03 Jul 2020 20:00:30
If true ed, is that not illegal? Unless Dortmund has given us permission.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - MU can talk to the agent but not the player without permission.}

03 Jul 2020 20:06:45
Not sure how reliable Duncan Castles is as he said we signed Bellingham 3 weeks back.

If we are in for Sancho then it’s the fee with Dortmund and not personal terms that will be the issue.

03 Jul 2020 20:20:25
How reliable is Castles though? Isn't he like a tier 3/ 4 journalist?

Agree0 0Disagree

03 Jul 2020 21:35:41
Thanks ed. Sounds as though his agent is being mischievous. Apparently he has form.

I find that Fabrizio Romano (the ltalian Journalist) to be the most reliable one if you look towards them for rumors. Castles is good friends with Jose Mourinho.

002, is it true thiago alcantara is available? Seen articles relating to Liverpool interest at a fairly reasonable price of around 30mil.

If we weren’t interested at that then I’d be worried. Give pogba his wish to leave and then bring him in! Probably messed it up when Moyes turned him down like! Yet again an amateur decision.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United cannot be interested in every player - they have clear targets and a 29 year old Thiago is not one of them. The problem goes away if Pogba stays.}

Thanks.

Fair enough Ed thanks for the insight. As always much appreciated, hope you’re keeping well!

Ed has there been any approach to offer pogba a new contract

I know it's a pain talking about him bit I have searched and didn't find anything about a new contract.

Have things changed

Tia.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know but it would need to go through his agent and up until not too long ago there was no communication with him.}

03 Jul 2020 16:03:48
Dear Ed02,

Do united still hold an interest in Dybala? And are Juve willing to let the player leave?

Thanks.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - No, and if he signs the contract without his requested caveat he will certainly stay.}

New rumour, Inter Milan are prepared to pay €22m/ £18m for Alexis Sanchez.

With a bit of luck they'll take Jones, Rojo and Lingard as well as Sanchez along with Lukaku and Young which they have already signed.

At this rate Inter Milan will be a Manchester United retirement home 😂.

03 Jul 2020 15:22:46
Snap their hand off if they really offer that!

03 Jul 2020 16:24:44
I agree to be honest I'd take a packet of Quavers and a can of coke.

If I answered the phone when Inter called that offer in my response would be "Go home Giuseppe, you're drunk"🤣.

03 Jul 2020 16:30:12
God I hope so. just take whatever they offer and run. This is not the time to be holding out for a larger fee, get him out and it frees up huge amounts on the wage bill.

Agree0 0Disagree

03 Jul 2020 16:37:03
Nonsense. Inter will not bay 22m for sanchez. even if they did we would have to pay him approx 50m pay off as his contract would need paying up.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - No it wouldn't.}

03 Jul 2020 16:55:23
Ken, I'm not a money man, but I think there is a big difference between buying someone out of their contract and selling them to someone else. In the first instance the person will no longer have a job, while selling them on means they still have an employer.

Agree3 0Disagree

03 Jul 2020 21:03:33
I read the Sanchez to Inter too. £20m would be incredible business for a player whose wages we are desperate to get off the books and clearly doesn’t look like he’ll play for us again.

I think we do need to give Ole some credit for looking to clear some of the deadwood. Not all of it I appreciate.

Agree0 0Disagree

03 Jul 2020 22:41:49
Why on earth would inter want to fork out such a sum and be totally responsible for his wages? Sanchez is not exactly hot property and surely they would prefer to keep taking him on loan with Utd paying some of his wages?

Agree0 0Disagree

03 Jul 2020 22:43:05
We would be happy to sell him for nothing. Our only wish is to find someone to pay his wages. So, of course Inter will not offer 20 millions for him.

Agree0 0Disagree

04 Jul 2020 13:24:49
My bad understanding ed002.
If the club sell sanchez would they not have to pay up his contract or reach a settlement with him?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - No.}

04 Jul 2020 13:44:09
Bolger i then hope you see your wish of sanchez accepting a move elswhere apologies.
Ed002 that would effectively see sanchez walk away from millions.
Would inter and the player not prefer a repeat of this season's deal?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - I think you are misunderstanding something Ken. When players are transferred their contracts are not paid up.}

04 Jul 2020 15:16:34
I was ed002.
It makes it all the more reason why i would not understand sanchez wanting a permenent move as nobody else will match the deal he is on now.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - Without knowing the detail I can't say.}

04 Jul 2020 16:53:17
Cheers ed.

Hi Ed002,
Do United have any plan to offer Pogba a new contract?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know. The situation needs resolving.}

03 Jul 2020 10:40:38
It’s a shambles run by amateurs as ed002 has stated many times. If anyone expecting us to be competent in how we do business this summer in terms of both ins and outs, then you are in for a shock. Least this summer they will have C.V. 19 as an excuse for their incompetence.

Red Devil Updates have posted a report that BILD are saying Bellingham has signed for Dortmund for €23 million on a 5 year deal.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

03 Jul 2020 08:28:19
Rumours coming out of Germany that Bellingham looks like he is signing for Dortmund.

Believable1 0Unbelievable

03 Jul 2020 15:01:30
Good. Don't want us spending 30m only someone who is nowhere near 1st team level. Let's use the money on strenghthening our squad for next season.
