According to that bastion of broadcasting, Talksh**e, "Barcelona have given up hope of persuading Manchester United target Thiago Alcantara to stay at the club, according to reports in Spain. "
However, they also say that this has alerted other clubs including Bayern, to his availability - so it is not yet a done deal! Fingers crossed, though.

No matter what stupid formation Pep uses at Bayern next season Thiago won't get as much playing time as he would at United. He knows it, and it's his main motive to move away from Barca so regardless of how much money they offer I don't think they're (Bayern) a real threat.

If there is a release clause in his contract with a buy out clause why would Barcelona want other clubs to bid.
