A few places are reporting that Barca are set to offer E25m/£21m + David Villa for Rooney.

What would everybody think about that?

I woul snap there hand off. Pure and simple. I've always liked villa and think a move could reignite him. And probably same for Wayne.

If that's true then accept it, David villa might be old but can still do a great job for any team.

I would prefer £25m + Villa, but could settle for €25m, that's basically £31m for Rooney which is fair.

Extremely happy, David villa is still a very goodlayer and could do a job for a year or two ether up front or on the wing, would solve the striker/winger problem, unfortunately can't see it being true:/

If only he were 2 years younger - he'll be 32 in December. A quality player, no question, but has he another 3 years left in him at a level more frantic than he was used to in Spain?

I'd take anyone of his quality who can play in a front three ie they can do the business out wide and also through the middle.

When fit, Villa is still very deadly, and can play left winger.
Not as well as a true left winger, but an improvement over Ashley Young.

Why would we want david villa when we have a player who does not play all the time but is better than villa that's chico as we have been say for a few seasons now its the midfield that needs strengthening
