Kagawa, Mata and Cesc behind RVP. Sounds good to me

2.) 17 Jul 2013
Mata and Luiz + £10m = exit Roonster. Buy Fabregas + CB. Keep Fabio on left back position, and Nani for occasional destructive input.

Out with Valencia, Fletcher, Vidic, Young and other dross and we have lift off.

3.) 17 Jul 2013
I read this to. Mata and 10 million is an absolute steal. Mata was one of the best players in the whole league last year, we should snap their hand off if this is true.

Is it me or do people underate luiz? we was amazing for chelsea at cdm, which is the main weakness of united!

5.) 17 Jul 2013
I'm optimistic a combination of RVP, cesc, kagawa and zaha! Is better than the other option of keeping a sulking Rooney!
If what's offered in the press is true, I'd sell Rooney

^^This

7.) 17 Jul 2013
Bite there hands off wow I would take mata for a straight swap

8.) 17 Jul 2013
We should be running down the motorway now to swap with mata a red united fan

9.) 17 Jul 2013
I don't believe this for a moment, especially since I don't believe we would have turned it down.

I'm a big fan of Rooney, but we have other good strikers, we don't have enough good midfielders, and Mata was one of the best in the league last season.

Vanpersie (arsenal)
Fabregas (arsenal&spain
Mata (spain

11.) 17 Jul 2013
With only two years left on his contract means from here on in his value will do nothing but depreciate, can anyone see what plausible reason there is for rejecting it? Mata plus 10 million is a great deal.

12.) 17 Jul 2013
Sorry, Rooney, but Mata or David Luiz plus 10 millions is a no brainer.
But. I doubt it. Two of the most respected players of Chelsea?

13.) 17 Jul 2013
With two years on his contract left if Rooney is sold without requesting a transfer United have to pay off the contract? Right?

Thats over £20 million

I would say if he hands in a written request he's gone

14.) 17 Jul 2013
No, that would b if we just wanted to release him. If we sell him without a transfer request, we pay a "loyalty" fee which will be set in his contract, probably a couple of million.

15.) 17 Jul 2013
Forget the £10 million, just give us Mata AND Luiz!

16.) 17 Jul 2013
Ok

Reject first offer is standard practise these days but let's not get stupid here.

If chelsea come abck with £15 mil and Mata it is worth considering if they come back with £20 mil and mata then back baldy's bags for him and farm him off.

The only question is. Do we need Mata? Yes we need a midfielder but we don't yet know for certain who our targets are and the likely hood of them joining. Do we someone lese lined up that we need the cash for instead?

Fabregas vs Mata? Both excellent players, goal scorers and prem experienced. wages? Mata will want less than fabregas for sure.

In all honesty i'd take Mata.

So what do you all expect to do with Kagawa then?

18.) 17 Jul 2013
I agree with the posters who have said Mata and Luiz straight swap for Rooney.

Luiz would be imense alongside Carrick whilst Mata would like up very well with RvP and Kagawa up top. We'd still have the funds to get Fabregas too.

This one deal could conceivably put us back in a position to challenge in Europe again.
