Transfer Merrygo round!
I have it on good authority that the reason Arsenal have decided against taking up the First option clause in CF's contract is because they have been told that he would be more intersted in a move to Manchester Utd to team up with RVP again, and if they allow this move to go ahead smoothly then we will open talks in a deal to move Rooney to the emirates. This is a gentlemens agreement between Utd and Arsenal. Not only that, the fun continues with the fact that we are making a public intrest in Bale in order to force Madrids hand into bidding for the player and having to fund this with the sale of Ronaldo to Utd, which the player also has told close friends, he wants to happen. Nani will be given a new conract after moyes believes the boy still has potential and I also believe Baines may come in aswell. So if my sources are correct then Baines, Fab and Ronny in and Rooney out would make me a very happy man.

This would be great but just can't see it happening. Bale instead of Ronaldo also wouldn't be too bad!

That doesn't make sense- if CF was interested in a move to utd, it doesn't matter what clause or what arsenal bid-

if he doesn't want to go to arsenal, then utd don't need any gentlemen's agreement with arsenal do they?

Only possibility I suppose what be if they are worried that wenger could persuade CF to join arsenal (with their relationship I wouldn't rule that out).

doesn't quite ring true though.

So your good authoritarian friend, believes the only good things to happen in England this year will be to do with Utd? Why would Fabregas favour a return to England with Utd instead of Arsenal?

Yes he might have been friends with RVP at Arsenal, but that's where that friendship ended. This might come as a shock, but I have it on good authority that RVP is seething that Fergie made a play for him last season, yet left his managerial position this season.

If the whole debacle with RVP had have been happening now, there is absolutely no way in hell would he have signed for Moyes.

Has someone really just asked why someone would favour a move to Utd over Arsenal?! Lol 'Helllllooooo McFlyyyy?!'

5.) 21 Jul 2013
Ofc rvp would of signed for utd without fergie as he wanted to sign for a BIGGER club with better chances of winning stuff. as no matter what manager we have we will always be bigger then arsenal, and when fab does come back to the EPL it will be for utd as we are bigger then you always will be, no point in going backwards in his career to arsenal

You have good imagination. However be sure that it will come true. Oh yes it will come true, you'll have one more "unbelievable" into your collection!

Reddevil69, of course utd are a bigger club than arsenal- no disagreement there.

But don't underestimate cf feelings for arsenal and particularly wenger. He still follows arsenal results every week (speaks often about it on twitter, good game lads, etc) and speaks with wenger regulary. When rvp left arsenal last year on his twitter he put "I am shocked!".

I am not saying he wouldn't join utd (who knows?) at all, only be careful to just simply dismiss arsenal.

Also I don't think people fully appreciate (yet) what a great position arsenal are in financially now. Of course having it and spending it are two different things!

But in a few seasons time, arsenal will have around 70-80 mil a season to use on transfers (separate from the wage bill)and that's without accumulating any debt (how many clubs can say the same? Especially the without debt part).

Again, I am not saying you are not a bigger club, only to not underestimate arsenal now the club has turned the corner financially.

If arsenal and wenger live up to the clubs new financial potential we can be a force again.

The club can move forward from now on -not backwards.

Did you not say the exact same things about RvP last year?, that may be the case but Ronaldo still does that with united, but will he be coming home?, would be move to another club before us if they had more chance of winning things, I think he would, (but we win so its fine).

12.) 22 Jul 2013
Hex- I am an arsenal fan, I guess your comment is for LG?

Just what to make a point. No one said exactly the same thing with rvp, because they simply could not have done.

The financial situation at arsenal has changed and as LG said the club is in a much better financial situation now, which will continue to improve for the next few seasons.

The finances are there to turn arsenal into a winning side again. That's the challenge for any player joining and wenger and co has to convince them that we mean business.

The financial potential is there, that's a fact, we'll have to see if they club live up to it and deliver, which is another thing entirely ofc.
