Slowly coming to the fact that we won't sign any quality this summer, I'm normally a very optimistic person too haha

1.) 08 Aug 2013
Is it only me that thinks Moyes was appointed manager because he did wonders with Everton on a shoestring budget. This is what the Glazers want. We are being taken for mugs by them. Don't think any big signings are coming at all. We will end up with Fellaini. God help us.

2.) 08 Aug 2013
SAF chose Moyes, someone who is down to earth and good keeping drama out of the press with his comments, while taking no sh!t. He was at Everton for 11 years, that's important for a club like us. Most foreign managers will get bored and lose motivating after 4-5 years and want to move giving us this horrible transition all over again. In the last 10 years he's won manager of the season 3 times, SAF won it 4 times so do you really think he's not good enough. Breaks my balls that so many people are so impatient. It might take him a few seasons to really get into it just like it did with SAF but after 10 years we'll look back and say it was the best decision. Have patients is all I can say. Get behind the new man just like SAF told you to. He obviously knew it wouldn't be easily for him at first but over a long period of time he'll be a great success.

Bang on the money Ozwald!

5.) 08 Aug 2013
The world of football was a much different place when SAF took over. Back then managers had time but the financial burdens clubs are under make it impossible to allow a team like United to take a few seasons to settle back into a winning groove. Everyone knows that there are some weaknesses in our first team. I hope Moyes can fix those weaknesses but so far he's not showing an ability to do so. I'm not so convinced he'll get the time you want him to have. If changing managers every 4-5 years brings success, I'm ok with that. Times change!

6.) 08 Aug 2013
Here's a point Ozwald forgot to mention. Fergie didn't take hold of a premier league winning squad now did he. therefore being impatient with moyes almost justified

7.) 08 Aug 2013
Its the same every summer. The excuses vary but the outcome is always the same. The big signings never quite make it to OT, and we then become a team for the future with bargain basement kids, who then take little or no part in our season, usually loaned out. what's the point? aren't we supposed to be improving the team NOW??
Theres no value in the market, but Chelsea and City find them! Now it will be 'Well we tried but didn't get the players we wanted' etc etc etc
Every year the Glazers screw down the spending so they can use the money to pay debts. SAF was the difference, but now he's gone. Moyes won't be able to perform that kind of magic. Time to sell the silver polish!

hi everyone, my friend suggested this page and I have been a regular visitor for nearly a month now. A lot of people have gone crazy lately and I just had to register to give them a piece of my mind.

Firstly Manchester United are a football club not willing to pay astronomical fees for a player, agreed we have paid a lot for some players in the past but the current trend is just ridiculous and not in line with the current united philosophy.

The talk of insufficient funds is uncalled for. Teams at the back of poor seasons spend and will continue to do so. Last year we were the talk of the window because we had to spend and so bang RVP JOINS UNITED. City and Chelsea have spent because according to them they had poor seasons. You cannot judge that city or for that matter any other bpl club has a better squad than us because at the end of the day its the team and the result. On paper city and che both looked better last season and look what happened. Manchester United can have a weaker team on paper but as a team we just come out better.

Moyes is looking for a young and exiting team which reflects his football. I don't blame him for that and he every right to do so.

jones/vidic/ferdi/smalling/evans
nani/zaha/kagawa/carrick/valencia/anderson/fellaini/ adnan
rooney/rvp/chicha/welbeck

will be a quality team and if moyes work his magic and adds another player to the above list. We can challenge on all fronts and kick a lot of ass.

He's been in 5 minutes and already there's talk of him being replaced. Fickle or what?

I'd rather have Moyes and a trophy every two years than mourinho and the league every season. Give him a chance for fecks sake. Or feck off and support Chelsea.

Great post Ozwald btw.

I agree Robo66.

I said it when I just found out who we were appointing to be our manager. The Glazers want someone who will be their muppet and help save some money here and there. Slate me if you'll want doesn't matter to me but to think that you people are all so blinded by your rose tinted glasses its a joke. I'm MORE THAN HAPPY to say I was wrong should I be proved so. So far i'm correct.

I visit this site quite regularly but never comment. However I have gained some unbeleivable information on the transfer front. Haven't left any of my details as if I did my source/mate would get in serious trouble. My best mates brother is part of Rio Ferdinand's PR and Media team and has been since he moved to United. He has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be present and Old Trafford tomorrow night and will discuss a lucrative package to come back. Talks will be held with senior executives at Manchester United and senior board members of General Motors and Nike. If United and sponsors can come to an agreement with Ronaldo over image rights and other details of his overall potential package United will submit a formal bid to Real Madrid as early as Friday with Moyes getting plenty of TV coverage over the weekend with the charity shield to put on the pressure in the press. This will be dressed up as Ronaldo agreeing to join up in 2 seasons time but a bid will be submitted this season if he gives the green light. The same source also confirmed that the Fabregas saga was all a smoke screen with barca more than happy to help united get Ronaldo back as it would massively weaken Madrid. Ronaldo also met The united owners in the Norfolk Royal Hotel in Bournemouth on the evening of the 19th of July to express an interest in playing for the club again and was seen drinking in a bar later

Excellent post Ozwald.

What happened to the old saying "you don't win anything with kids"?

Look at lingard, januzaj, zaha, m keane and w keane coming through. I'd b more than happy seeing them given the chance to develop into 1st team squad members, let's remember what Manchester United as a football club means rather than get caught up with this "football manager" way some fans have.

I hope your not full of it mate. Hope your right but I can't see it. The glazers won't spend the money. All united is to them is a gravy train. And their milking it.

14.) 08 Aug 2013
Ronaldo doesn't drink so your story has holes. Man United aren't going to pay Madrid back the 80 million. You're living in a fairlytale. I haven't got a clue who United will sign this window, but I sure as hell know it won't be Ronaldo.

United should get luis Gustavo to add defensive capability to the midfield, and give zaha, januzaj and other youth the less important games yo develop. We lost pogba because of lack of Faith, real kick in the *** seeing as he'd be perfect for the midfield now! We can win trophies being a tight, compact team, not just a team of over-paid mercenaries like Madrid or the French teams.

Would love to believe the cr7 stuff but its very difficult to do so. I have plenty of time for moyes but a lot has been made about the quality of our squad and while we did win the league last year it is clear that this was achieved by the complete hopeletvess of our opposition and the guidance of fergie. Our midfield is well below standard. Carrick is not the world beater that everyone seems to be conned into believing. Remember the 2 champions league finals against barca. Now can u remember carrick, exactly. Can't understand the pursuit of Fabregas, seeing its been clear he was never coming. Now, there are so many midfielders we can go for. So for god sake let's get 3 or 4 players in as soon as we can

What we need to do is bring in the youth, forget playing like a passing team like barca, what we bar need is to bring in youth get the British feel back in and bring back the old English style of football distributing the other team from playing and hitting them hard on the counter attack, we should of kept tunniclife as he is what we need a little terrier who is not afraid to tackle but can up the pace instantly, js English football would benefit from the return of hard tackles and real men not this persons who go over from a strong breeze

18.) 09 Aug 2013
RedBrenno I know Ronaldo doesn't drink he does it for the same reason as why he has no tattooes because he gives blood religiously. He was in a bar having a drink not necessarily an alcoholic one. The bar was 1812 in Bournemouth I saw him in there with my own eyes. Anyways unbelievably good sorce I think you will be a happy man come the end of the week.

19.) 09 Aug 2013
Have you not yet come to the conclusion that the reason MD was made manager which was to bring on the young players?

RedBrenno, whilst I agree that CR7 won't be coming to OT who said you can only drink alcohol in a bar?
