Mourinho's assisant, Faria: "There was a €60m deal agreed for Rooney to sign after yesterday's game, but Man U didn't honor their word, Man United asked for more money/Mata, which Chelsea refused immediately. Rooney won't be moving to Chelsea".He was speaking on Al Jazeera TV

Oh dear, Chelsea are trying to take the moral high ground . what a bunch of hypocrites.
Hope Rooney does stay, just to stick it to the "special one".

Comments like these will not help Chelsea's pursuit of Rooney. I think Chelsea are lacking genuine professionalism as always.

Absolute BO££OCKS

Isn't Faria the fitness coach?

Anyway, I doubt we'd turn down £50m+ for Rooney, or that we'd have gone into a game and played him when we'd already agreed his sale (or that Chelsea would agree to us doing that).

Chelsea have to be the most unethical and immoral sports club on the planet in so many different ways. To say things like this which is obviously rubbish and there to disrupt and aggravate. Joke of a club, even more soulless than Madrid. So glad we didn't appoint Mourinho, glorified checkbook manager who acts up when Roman or Perez doesn't get the shiniest new toys. Would love it so much off Ronnie came back whole Mourinho was still there and destroyed his team.

Typical comment from a classless club who don't get there way
the Glazers might be disliked but they are no muppets when it comes to business

Why would a deal between 2 English clubs be in euros . andog

8.) 27 Aug 2013
No this is exactly what you get with Mourinho the man has no class

9.) 27 Aug 2013
No mention of this anywhere except this page, you would think such a incredible statement would be all over the media. I call BS on this

Pardoe you are right. And the other thing about English press is the inclination towards selling papers no matter what. Even if it means they are being made muppets. It was not so long ago that press in Italy and Spain rubbished Mourinho's comments and press conferences and here we are in England celebrating all the non sense again. It just feels that English game and Press loves a lot theatrics rather than logic and professionalism.
