The guardian are running the 'Sneijder to United' stories, it has begun.

I couldn't possibly see us move for Sneijder. What would be the point and where on earth would he play.

He does play deeper now, but he's not what we need at all

Sneijder or Enzo Perez would seem to make sense. Slightly older players with great experience and not too expensive. I think ultimately LVG would like Strootman but given that he's injured a cheaper/older/experienced player might be a stop gap alternative next to Herrera (and hopefully Carvalho)

Why waste £16m when we have Mata, Kagawa and Rooney who all play in same position as him?
