If that's the case Ed, why are England so terrible when the players play in a league where they have less time on the ball?

If you are going to leave behind a midfielder who was in stunning form, in Drinkwater, so you can take a crap forward who can't play in midfield to play that role, then you are going to lose. England had a crap manager with no tactical acumen, whose sole aim in each game is not losing. He has no idea how to work with good players, he just wants robots.

Add that to a bunch of players who are simply not good enough, then it doesn't matter how much time and space they have in international football, they will not be good enough to compete.}

I was merely asking. I don't watch England anymore I'm ashamed to say as they have been awful and played like a bunch of over paid prima donnas for years and they do not, as well as its fans for me, represent this country in a way we ought to be.

Anyone who watched the rugby in Australia would have seen how you're supposed to play for an England shirt. We just need Eddie Jones' football playing cousin to take over the managerial role :P.
