FA CONFIRMS SMALLING INJURY
The Football Association announced at 13:00 GMT today (Friday) that Chris Smalling has returned to United from the England camp due to injury. The Reds centre-back follows his club colleague Phil Jones in having his international stint cut short and he'll be replaced in the squad by Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson.

So Smalling Injures Jones and then gets himself injured. GREAT

Back to a flat back 4 then with Rojo and Bailey.

Thats typical! Funnily enough though a CB partnership of Rojo and Bailly is something I've wanted to see for a while, let's hope they stay fit and do well.

I agree HoneyBadger, also means the defence can push further up, especially if Shaw plays at lb as well.

They could always go for a back 3 and drop Carrick in between Bailly and Rome.

Statezz blind would make the ideal sweeper behind bailly and rojo. He can pass short or long and can carry the ball out comfortably. It could also see Shaw come in which all of us would like to see.
