Reading through Ballague's Spain round up.

He says that Rodriguez would prefer a move to us or Chelski and that there have been offers from England just wondering if any of the eds know if one of those offers came from United?

He did also say that Liverpool were interested but they were not his preference, which was nice to read

OR

Was he chatting the proverbial again?

PG.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offers since last summer that involve a straight cash deal.

Real Madrid did not want to sell James Rodrigues in January but they will listen to any very high bids made for the summer. Four clubs come in to the picture - Manchester United because they are seen as stupid enough to pay what most sides would see as way over the odds for the player who some would describe as a childish flake; Chelsea as the player has suggested himself that he would like to play for them and live in London - but they won't be held to ransom and have major concerns about his ability to settle in the very culturally different England - but this may not deter an offer; Juventus - but he is one of several potential targets and their interest is elsewhere; and Bayern Munich now that Carlo Ancelotti is heading there - again they won't be held to ransom. However, whilst the intention is that he will be sacrificed in the summer to raise funds, there are some significant things going on in the background that could have an impact on whether or not he will be leaving during 2016 - so we need to wait and see but I expect circumstances to be such that they may listen to offers. But they could block any move until the end of the window awaiting the outcome of a number of issues. His agent has spoken to three sides about James including Manchester City, Juventus and Chelsea to try and move things along. Manchester City are unlikely to be interested. Real Madrid has also spoken with PSG through a third party whilst discussions were being held over another player. They could bite later in the transfer window if he is still available. Chelsea have also spoken with Real Madid but are frustrated that they are running hot and cold over whether or not they will let him leave this summer and concerns remain over price and a move to London.}
