Hi ed. There are some stories circulating that united would listen to offers for martial.
A) is there any truth to this
B) is there anybody showing any interest I him.?
Personally I don't think martial and Jose is a match made in heaven. I would rather have Jose here for 5 years than martial for 10.i can't see them getting on and I can see a parting of the ways sooner rather than later.
Martial has got some great attributes but I'm not sure that he has the required amount of ' get up and go or enthusiasm ' that Jose likes.

{Ed025's Note - martial has an attitude problem indicative of a young man on too much money and with a superstar lifestyle ken, hes not the first and wont be the last but as we all know jose does not suffer fools gladly, if a substantial offer came in for him im sure it would be considered as like depay before him he has failed to meet the brief expected of a united player, suitors will be few and far between though as united will not be giving him away mate..

He explicitly mentioned in his interview too, that earlier players used to get rich after their career was over, nowadays they get rich at the beginning, and some of them lack the desire after that.
Martial isn't thriving under pressure, with France and under Jose.
At Monaco, and under LVG he was a kid who didn't have to deal with pressure and expectations, and now he's struggling.
His personal life must be affecting him a lot.

{Ed025's Note - its not easy for young guys rohan but they have to adapt mate..

I disagree ed, the poor guy had a horrible year, but he also faced some problems actual too, his personal life issues add to that he was trying to get the whole AM9 thing going before some genius at utd decided to change his number and informing him only after the number had been given to ibra, not exactly the best way to start your season. Also there has been really no complaints from jose or any media reports that he has attitude issues, where did you get that from?

{Ed025's Note - i have read it on quite a few occasions CSM and from some good football people, jose is not going to come out publicly on it as his standing will drop and thats fair enough, if he is that fickle that the changing of his shirt number affects him then he needs to grow a set and knucle down and prove them wrong, its no use him sulking like a spoilt brat mate...attitude..

Thanks ed. he is a talented lad but he is either lazy or lacks the fundamental intelligence to make a great player imo.
I don't see it ending well so if there is interest I think getting a good return now would be the way to go mate as I can see it blowing up. Personally I'm not a big fan I think he ha been over hyped and under delivers.

{Ed025's Note - im with you ken, he has all the physical attributes to be a very good player but sometimes thats just not enough mate..

He deserves another season, he's shown much more than Depay or Januzaj has. He scored 17 goals in his debut season, and was average this season.
A preseason can do wonders and with the possibility of another French striker/ winger in Griezmann maybe he'll improve.
Still feel its early to let him leave, as he's had 1 wonderful season and another sub-par season.

Rohan don't get me wrong I think he can be a very good player but I don't think he will ever fulfil his potential under Jose.

With the way its panning out ken, I feel the same.
But Jose would take note that how he's let guys like Lukaku, De Bruyne, Salah etc leave and then later on they've doubled or tripled their values.
I personally would like him to a little more patient than he usually is, because Martial is a special talent, who has lost his way due to whatever reasons.
I'm sure the LVG's school of coaching and Deschamps tactics haven't helped him one bit, but maybe Martial toughens up, because I can't remember which game it was recently, when he played up top, he worked his socks off and Rooney was on the left.
I know stats mean bollocks, but there was this matrix where Perisic was compared to Martial, and Martial seemed to have a better score in almost all the attributes in a season where Martial struggled.
If he doesn't leave this summer, the next 6 months would decide his future.
I don't think the likes of Shaw, Martial have more than 6 months to prove themselves.

Not an unreasonable standpoint at all rohan.
But that is my point. Would lukaku or De bruyne ever have excelled under Jose. I doubt it. But perhaps your right maybe he does deserve another season unless the right offer comes in.

Ken can't say about de bruyne but lukaku certainly would have excelled under mourinho. He is the picture perfect jose mourinho big man, he is lazy but one thing mourinho does drill into every player he coaches is working hard in defence, had he stayed at chelsea he would have excelled under mourinho.

Did we consider him over-hyped the previous season, when he was banging them in for fun? Is one below-par season not allowed any more? Some players suffer from second-season syndrome. Give the lad a chance this season, and then make a judgement on him. At least then we can see if last season was just a one-off, or symptomatic of a deeper malaise.

I did not know that ed, he only has himself to blame if what you say is correct. While i agree that number change should not have too much impact but in today's world i can see how it might have pissed him off as it affected him commercially.

{Ed025's Note - he has to rise above things like that though CSM, and its not like hes short of a few bob mate..
