Seems its not for a new contract and is to do with the tax issue.

He signed a huge 6 year deal in November. This isn't about a new contract. It may be tax related or it may be that he has achieved everything at Madrid.

So nobody wants Morata because he's to expensive but I'd imagine you'd all want Ronaldo to come back who at 32 would cost more in fee and in wages.

Yes Ronaldo is one of the best, he's the best in my eyes but do I want him back no we need to be looking forwards not backwards.

MLS or PSG would be a good move for him.

Would you be upset if he signed for city or Chelsea then? Not that he would of course. I would have him back would recoup costs in record time and could easily afford wages with Ronney and Zlatan of the wage bill. A new contract or signing on fee with another club would help with a clearing any tax debt of course.

I wouldn't be upset who he went to why would I care who City or Chelsea buy I have no interest in other clubs business.

I would be p*ssed if he signed for Citeh or Chelski or any other prem team TBH.

If he moves and its not to us (which i'm sure it won't be) then i hope he goes to the USA.

If we are being asked to pay £70m for morata, I would pay £150m for ronaldo. He might be 32, but he guarantees you goals. He would have put away a significant portion of the chances we missed last season.

He knows the country and the league. He looks after himself. In terms of conditioning he is in better shape than half the players in the league. And if zlat can get 28 goals Ronny would easily get you 40. At least we would have someone who could take a decent free kick.

And from Woody Woodward perspective, is there a more marketable player/ sportsman in the world?

Heck I am feeling generous, Madrid here is £50m + Degea for our Ronny. Ac Milan here is £30m for donnarumma.

Job done. If only it were that simple.

I imagine Ronnie would make a fortune if he went to MLS. They've never had a player that good, it would be massive for the profile of the MLS and he would make absolute mint. Frankly I don't think the US has ever had a sports star with such a massive worldwide profile since Pele. He would dazzle the crowds out there, really boost the sport.

I wouldn't complain if he came back here and spearheaded our attack for a couple of years while mentoring Martial and Rashford. I would be pissed if he went to City or Chelsea though, (I don't hink he would, too much class and he knows how much love he still has from Utd fans) .

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I seriously doubt any team in the MLS could afford him. If I were to guess, assuming that this whole want-away tax thing is accurate which idk, the only teams he would realistically go to is UTD or PSG. can't see any other team being able to afford him and can't see him going to China.

That said I doubt he moves, and I dunno if we try to bring him in. probably 150m +? yeah idk.

He's still too good for the mls I believe. I'm guessing it would probably only be either us or psg with the financial power to get him, and in fairness, as a number 9 I would take him up top, mkhitaryan/ rashford/ martial and pogba behind him would be a formidable front 4 and most capable of interchanging positions (like tevez/ Rooney/ ronaldo from 08)
€365,000 a week wouldn't be that far from what we were paying ibra and some believed he wouldn't cut it over here at his age.
and fresh - he did, however messi is due to sign a new one soon and no doubt bigger wages than ronaldo.

He's into his brands so I'd imagine Paris would make the most sense if he were to leave.

Didn't he and mourinho have a bit of a fall out at Madrid though?

If and I doubt it would happen CR7 would be looking at £400k. Commercially he would probably generate a significant amount in revenue that make it worth while.

400k a week - wow - just one weeks wages would set me up for the rest of my life! Lol.

Such is the dominace of Ronaldo and Messi in modern football, between them they have won the Champions League seven out of the last eleven years.

Mrlee the 365k figure is after tax, double it and you get his actual wages.
