Hi Ed002

Any news on outgoings at Man Utd?
Read a rumour of Bailly to AC Milan so made wonder what is happening with Smalling and Rojo as they where linked heavily to Wolves and Everton in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - Ander Herrera (CM) wants more game time but club wants him to stay
Eric Bailly (CB) not working out well
Marcos Rojo (LB/CB) not wanted
Chris Smalling (CB) time to go
Anthony Martial (F) wants out
Paul Pogba (CM) - Juve are very keen but that might be a financial issue they probably cannot resolve - Mino wants Barcelona, or else Real Madrid, whose interest has gone for now
Alexis Sanchez (LW/F) - a major mistake and insistent that he does not want to play on the wing - but getting shot of him will be financially difficult because of his wage demands - Fernando Felicevich will try and resolve the situation between the club and player as there are no suiters at the wages he is being paid - although he has approached Bayern Munich and PSG - a free transfer is a possibility
Antonio Valencia (RB) - is becoming another little Johnny jerk off and the chances of his contract being extended are looking less likely
Marcus Rashford (F) might be subject to a large offer
Matteo Darmian (RB/LB)
Juan Mata (AM) out of contract in the summer and will have to consider his options
Others who are out of contract may or may not move on}

Thanks Ed002, brilliant as always. Also surprised Jones isn't on the list, needs to be the first one out. And how would it be possible for Alexis Sanchez to leave on a free transfer Ed002? Isn't that when a player's contract has run down?

{Ed002's Note - I missed Jones. Players with no contract are Out of Contract players, but a club may elect to let a player leave for free.}

Thanks Ed002.

Think I read on the European rumours page that Juventus have an interest in Rashford? Also is it still possible that Martial could stay at the the club?

{Ed002's Note - Yes and yes.}

Looks like half our team don't want to play for us.

Is it Manchester? Is it the playing style? Is it the fact that we don't look like having a realistic chance of winning something? Is it playing time/ position? Or don't they want to play for our manager?

Something isn't right.

Ed002, you didn't mention De Gea, what is his situation at the moment? I know the club want to agree a deal.

{Ed002's Note - De Gea is likely to be subject of an offer but thye club want to keep him.}

One thing I never understood is that how players are unhappy with playing time only at United. While other teams who have better players than ours sitting on the bench never have any problems.

Surprised to see Rashford on the list, was hoping he would have a good career at United. Can you tell us who is interested in him or is it irrelevant at this stage.

Of all on the list, I’d only be really bothered about Martial leaving.

In an ideal world Bailly turns it around, Herrera and Mata renew whilst Rashford stays loyal. Sanchez only succeeds if a new manager comes in and plays him centrally instead of Lukaku - where he would probably do better to be honest.

I’d welcome a big clear out though, and wouldn’t care less if Pogba was replaced.

Thank you Ed002!

Sounds like a major rebuild is in the works and a lot of investment going to be required.

{Ed002's Note - That is what Mr Mourinho wants.}

Good to hear that Ed - it should have happened two years ago. There’s so many players in the squad that would struggle to make the Wolves first team let alone United.

Fantastic info Ed002, thank you as always for your time.

Good to hear about planned overhaul: too many individuals in the squad now brought in by different managers with different philosophies. (Though would this have happened if a director of football was in place to oversee a grand plan. )

Prune it all back and start the rebuild! Might take a few years but better than keep in buying misfit players without a plan - so bring in the DoF as soon as!

I’d sell Sanchez, Pogba, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Valencia, Matic, Fred, Bailly and Mata ASAP and start a rebuild around youth, keeping key players such as DeGea, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot, Herrera, Perriera, Lingard, Rashford, Martial (not sure about Lukaku. ) and gradually bring in youngsters such as Chong, Tuanzebe, Gomez, Greenwood and Garner.

The club have proved time and again, it is one thing having a list of player you want to get rid of and actually getting rid of them.

Due to wages and transfer fees we haven't been successful in getting rid of anyone.

Our best avenue is to forego a transfer fee and let players contracts run out like smalling, mata, jones, valencia, young and herrera.

There should be no room for emotion when dealing with these contracts.

Sell Fred?

Nothing like a giving a player time to settle at a new club eh.

Sell everyone except De Gea.

We'd still have as many points.

Give the money to Jose and we have a team aged 30+ year old banking extortionate pin money for retirement.
Need to rebuild the management structure and get a new coach before we splash any cash.

Ed if i could ask, what are the clubs feelings towards rashford? Do they see him staying?

{Ed002's Note - They seemingly want him to stay.}

{Ed002's Note - That is what Mr Mourinho wants. } Just a follow up question to this comment from Ed, is this the best thing for utd at the moment? In the opinions of the Eds and members here.
Personally, if he is going to get FULL support from the Board et al then why not. Mou may not be the best coach to rebuild a team but he did a fantastic job building the 04/ 05 Chelsea team. Prior to that he did return Porto to Glory. If there are other coaches there who can do this then I am open to that as well, but as it stands, we have Mou.
