I guess it's a conditioning and fitness issue that becomes more and more of a struggle to hold on to the leading score.

It is more likely down to mourinhos out dated game where we were becoming stagnated in our play. The sideways and backwards play meant no pressing and less work rate so fitness levels need to be drastically improved.

Enough gloom and doom 7 wins from 7 well done Ole GGMU.

Yes, the intensity of our pressing drops down drastically after the hour mark.
Hopefully, it gets picked up gradually over the coming months.

There are several issues when settling into a new style of play.

For us we have gone from a team that runs the least to attempting to press higher and more frequently. That level of fitness isn't something that comes out of thin air and will take time to build up.

Also attacking patterns and combinations which just didn't happen before will have to be worked on, improved and perfected.

February is a tough month, we have been fortunate that we have had a run of games which on paper at least are easier to practice and improve. Over the next month we will see what this squad and this manager is truly capable of.

Lingard and Herrera are two that work their bollocks off and then drop off mid way through the second half in games. I hope that Sanchez can seamlessly fit in to the fluid front three and that will alleviate one problem, Fred should likewise be able to dovetail in the midfield but he's only shown flashes of promise thus far. If both of those start playing like we know they can then we should be able to blitz teams for 90 minutes. Sadly, as Gary Neville said in commentary vs Spurs I don't see where Lukaku or Mata fits in to it.
