Any truth to the rumors that we could get van de Beek? Many of the papers are saying more about Manchester United than Real Madrid for VDB lately. Thanks for all your help at this time of year.

{Ed002's Note - Donny van der Beek (AM/CM) primary target of Real Madrid but they are concerned that the price is being pushed up by the interest of other clubs - which means Barcelona could turn to van der Beek if Real Madrid push for their other target, Ruiz. Spurs have a declared interest but may not be attractive right now and would need to sell to buy. Manchester United purchased Bruno Fernandes instead but could try and squeeze him in as an alternative to Jack Grealish but he offers less. Juventus have other options as they see themselves priced out of a deal for Kai Havertz, but could revive interest in him.}

Can someone tell me what Type of player Grealish is and what he offers please? Not been convinced to date.

He is a different sort of creative midfielder to Bruno. Where Bruno looks to pass and move Grealish is a runner, receiving the ball and running at the opposition with it. Often picking up lots of "fouls" (he goes down far too easily though in my opinion) . Right footed but plays either wide left on inside left, can play at No.10 but often drifts between being central and toward the left. Likes to cut in onto his right foot and shoot or lay the ball off. He could play slightly deeper in a three man midfield if it was well balanced.

He could play well in a 433 playing on the left of the midfield three with Bruno on the right and a proper DM at the base. Bruno would play slightly deeper with Grealish playing slightly higher.

Do you know the fee that Villa would look to accept for Grealish. There have been various fees mentioned in the press, ranging from £40-£80 million. I suspect that if Villa were relegated, that they would be more willing to sell him to raise funds etc.
