New rumour, Inter Milan are prepared to pay €22m/ £18m for Alexis Sanchez.

With a bit of luck they'll take Jones, Rojo and Lingard as well as Sanchez along with Lukaku and Young which they have already signed.

At this rate Inter Milan will be a Manchester United retirement home 😂.

Snap their hand off if they really offer that!

I agree to be honest I'd take a packet of Quavers and a can of coke.

If I answered the phone when Inter called that offer in my response would be "Go home Giuseppe, you're drunk"🤣.

God I hope so. just take whatever they offer and run. This is not the time to be holding out for a larger fee, get him out and it frees up huge amounts on the wage bill.

Nonsense. Inter will not bay 22m for sanchez. even if they did we would have to pay him approx 50m pay off as his contract would need paying up.

{Ed002's Note - No it wouldn't.}

Ken, I'm not a money man, but I think there is a big difference between buying someone out of their contract and selling them to someone else. In the first instance the person will no longer have a job, while selling them on means they still have an employer.

I read the Sanchez to Inter too. £20m would be incredible business for a player whose wages we are desperate to get off the books and clearly doesn’t look like he’ll play for us again.

I think we do need to give Ole some credit for looking to clear some of the deadwood. Not all of it I appreciate.

Why on earth would inter want to fork out such a sum and be totally responsible for his wages? Sanchez is not exactly hot property and surely they would prefer to keep taking him on loan with Utd paying some of his wages?

We would be happy to sell him for nothing. Our only wish is to find someone to pay his wages. So, of course Inter will not offer 20 millions for him.

My bad understanding ed002.
If the club sell sanchez would they not have to pay up his contract or reach a settlement with him?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Bolger i then hope you see your wish of sanchez accepting a move elswhere apologies.
Ed002 that would effectively see sanchez walk away from millions.
Would inter and the player not prefer a repeat of this season's deal?

{Ed002's Note - I think you are misunderstanding something Ken. When players are transferred their contracts are not paid up.}

I was ed002.
It makes it all the more reason why i would not understand sanchez wanting a permenent move as nobody else will match the deal he is on now.

{Ed002's Note - Without knowing the detail I can't say.}
