Has there been any concrete interest in lingard and Jones?

Are man utd willing to listen to offers for them?

{Ed002's Note - Lingard is certainly on his way out and Jones will want to see what options are available but I am not aware of any approaches for them.}

Glad to hear about lingard, not good enough and a move suits everyone. as for Jones I’d say we will be lucky to give him away, rubbish defender who’s always injured so not exactly a top commodity.

I'd actually say Jones is a decent defender, in fact he is probably one of the better English CB's. There are a few issues with Jones.
First he has a mistake in him, you never feel comfortable when he's in the back line. However, for nearly all goals scored you can find at least one defender who made a mistake.
Secondly his injury record is appalling. He could injure himself putting his socks on.
Finally he is on a big wage for most "top" a huge wage for mid to lower end of the EPL.

I think Jones is a good defender for any side outside of the top 4 or 5 clubs. The problem is very few will be prepared to take on his wages considering how injury prone he is.

If Jones would be fit for 90% of his contract and was on 70-90k per week we'd have 15 or so teams interested in signing him. Sadly he's on over 140k per week and you'll be luck if he's fit 50% of the length of his contract.

Can't jump. Really poor in the air. Poor positional sense and pretty cumbersome.
I reckon you could find 10 better English cb's in the championship.
Shocking player and a complete liability.

I'll have a shot of whatever you have had Shappy. I could do with a midweek pick me up. Jones (while better than any of us slagging him off) is a complete liability at Premier League level.

He has the turning circle of German A7V tank, his body is made of Weetabix, he has the positional sense of a headless chicken and he loves a rash challenge. Not exactly a top centre back CV.

When Jones was signed from Blackburn by SAF he was seen as not only a future Manchester United captain but a future ENGLAND captain. He used to play in DM quite a lot at that point. But I have never seen even a glimpse that he can even be put in that sentence. He is non-communicative for a start - but to be fair when is the last time Smalling, DDH or Lindelof shouted at his teammates to rally them, like Maguire or van Dijk would (or even Tarkowski, watching the Burnley highlights on wednesday evening) . He has the turning circle of an Air Bus, is cumbersome and distinctly average. It seems that two out of Smalling, Jones and Rojo could be on their way out. Personally would like to see Ake, who will attract some interest if Bournemouth are relegated.

Ed002 that's interesting on lingard. Is there any sets interest in him.
He would benifit from a change of club imo. I think he would do well at the likes of Everton Newcastle or Leicester. Clubs that have a project or good foundation.
